    I wanted to play Helldivers 2 so badly I got a digital ps5 and have zero regrets HD2 is phenomenal good fun. I've only just reached level 27 and difficulty 6 but I had been kinda intimidated by the intensity and I am kinda a solo gamer. I am happy to team up though to make progress or just help others when I can. Your videos are inspiring me to push more and improve. You have very relatable explanations of gameplay good stuff buddy!!

      Honestly this game is top tier. It gets even better with fun teammates. Most random players you'll find are lovely though, so I wouldn't worry too much. I'd pitch my Discord server here but the HD2 community is awesome (yes yes few exceptions). Enjoy it man, the ride is freaking awesome! 🫡

    The devs are slowly making the OPS the single best stratagem in the game and I’m here for it. I’ve MISSED a (injured) factory strider and killed it with splash due to the new ship modules
    Edit: lvl 95 and I pick the orbital precision on every mission but the defense missions where I bring sentries and emplacements
    Edit 2: At 11:42 I really needed that. I said thank you out loud.

    The reason medium armor saved you from that mine is that it's heavy armor, basically. Extra padding is a slept on passive. It gives you the next armor rating up without taking away any speed or stamina, and the starter armor is the perfect middleground between speed and durability. The devs are allergic to P2W accusations, so some the best stuff is what you start with, and everything goes off to various extremes for different playstyles.

    • @PhacilGaming
      @PhacilGaming  2 месяца назад

      That's awesome input! It's probably an unpopular opinion but I do quite enjoy that there's not really a "best piece of gear", just a preferred piece of gear. Thank you for taking the time to comment that!

    @petty5709 2 месяца назад +1

    The base Liberator really is one of the most balanced primary weapons in the game, to the point where a lot of the different ARs are only slightly different, but none of them feel as good to use.

    • @PhacilGaming
      @PhacilGaming  2 месяца назад +1

      Agreed! I would argue specifically against bots the base Liberator actually feels very adequate. Not confident against bugs, but bots it outperformed!

    • @petty5709
      @petty5709 2 месяца назад +1

      @PhacilGaming Assault rifles aren't in the best place against bugs. There are just too many of them for the firepower available to you.
      That being said, I've been having a lot of fun using the Adjudicator against them. If it weren't for the Incendiary Breaker, it would more or less be equivalent to the Scorcher against bots, being able to engage everything but Chargers and Bile Titans from every angle.
      A supply pack is basically required, though. Recoil reduction armor not quite as much because most bugs are so big, but it helps you not feel quite as silly when shooting at shriekers.

    • @PhacilGaming
      @PhacilGaming  2 месяца назад

      Ah OK, noted!
      Oh nice! I enjoyed the Adjudicator in many ways other than the recoil. I feel like a slight reduction in the recoil would put it on par with good weapons. Nice to hear you're enjoying it! 😃

    Tip about AI
    It will ALWAYS prioritize Hellbomb than player - it is by design.
    However you can make it ignore hellbomb by placing it in smoke strike or smoke grenade ( not that it would help you here).
    Also why didnt you try to take out gunship thrusters with Mg43? It can take em out with bit of practice(also it can front shot scout striders).

    • @PhacilGaming
      @PhacilGaming  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for the input 😃! I have noticed sometimes they'll ignore the Hellbomb and go for me though, mainly when I tap them (even if the bullets ricochet). Do you know anything more about how aggro works in that regards?
      I don't enjoy using the MG and I kind of like when the game's hectic. I was informed by someone already that it takes one full magazine of the MG to bring it down, awesome info to them as well! 🫡🙏

    • @BOTmaster15
      @BOTmaster15 2 месяца назад +1

      @@PhacilGaming aggro with smoke? Or aggro as general rule.
      I mostly play with bots coz ohnestly they are easier to deal with, so I dont know if bugs will behave the same( prolly yes).
      With smoke if there is no unit close to you ( was it 10-20meters) popping smoke will make bots "lose" you. They will travel to last known location thou and shoot last known position. That also works with using objective consoles in poi - bots cant target you when in smoke (sometimes it takes a second or two for effect to kick in).
      Funny thing is that bots dont know where you are if there is enough foliage - even if you wont pop smoke but enter dense bushes or forest they will fire to last known position.
      On highier difficulty level it is also easier to shoot randomly some poi in the distance so bots would call backup to that location and start doing something else in another part of the map.

    • @PhacilGaming
      @PhacilGaming  2 месяца назад +1

      That's awesome intel on smokes! I very rarely use smokes because I enjoy inefficiently shooting everything.
      I meant specifically why sometimes Gunships choose to shoot you instead of the Hellbomb. At least that's my experience ofcourse, no science involved.
      Thank you for the elaborate explanation 😃

    cooking nades is an interesting skill, but i find it hard to justify since any time spent cooking is time NOT spent shooting/strategeming. so the use cases are very few and very specific

    • @PhacilGaming
      @PhacilGaming  2 месяца назад

      @@Error-rc9es I'll agree with that for the most part. From a min-max perspective it can be a quite significant skill though. A stungrenade exploding midair catches more enemies in it. Also prevents the grenade bouncing off to the side somewhere. But the feeling required to achieve those results are definitely debatable. Thank you for your input! 🫡

    • @Damglador
      @Damglador 3 месяца назад +1

      @@PhacilGaming its mostly defined not in count but in toughness of enemies and lack of any telegraphing of their attacks. Also ragdolling and stagger are not skill dependent mechanics and for me they're the biggest issue (skill issue, dont get hit shouldn't be the only option, because it incentivises "run and hide" play style instead of actually fighting enemies). Diff 9 throws at you a bunch of heavy and rocket devastators that have 150m range, have no telegraphing of their attacks (only rocket one do, he sits a bit before firing a barrage, but you can't know if he's recharging or not by looking at him). Heavy devastators do brrrrrrrrr almost without any cooldown and have shields so thats a small tank that have insane DPS and insane protection (even AT cant penetrate shields) and there is a bunch of them. Rocket devastators can just ragdoll you into the oblivion, but they're much less of an issue.
      Sometimes hulks and walkers can just randomly two tap you in the head with their guns with full HP.
      That all makes the game very frustrating. You either don't engage and always run away to despawn everything or suffer, because everything can play with you like with some kind of a toy, but your weapons are barely effective enough or even are not effective enough to deal with all enemies the game throws at you.
      Less negative stuff, more good examples. Take for example DRG (Deep Rock Galactic) a damn masterpiece of a game, literally the best coop shooter for many reasons. It has 5 difficulty levels, recently they've added optional modifiers for fifth one that makes the game even harder. Diff 1 - newborn difficulty, diff 2 - hard to die, but still possible to, diff 3 - quite challenging for newcomers, 4 - the real challenge for newcomers, 5 - hell on earth for new players, but pretty chill for skilled ones. The game's pretty different to compare gameplay one to one, but there is something that is present in both games and done right in DRG.
      1. Telegraphing attacks
      You always know when something attacks you from a distance, if you didn't noticed that - skill issue or plug your headphones in PC. There is a plenty of time to react for any kind of range attack that comes from any enemy, every range attack has a sound and an animation before it with enough of a delay between attack and animation/sound for you to react.
      2. Hordes are not a threat if you know what you're doing
      Hordes can catch new players unprepared (mini hordes always catch even me with 500 hours, because I always think "nah, I'll mine this and still will be able to flee after"... No, doesn't work every time and I still do that), but the game have A LOT of tools to slow down and kill hordes of enemies. For DRG prepared build is the key, if you know what you're doing you'll be able to create a good build that is effective against any hordes and single targets, but it still will require a skill to use. Helldivers 2 doesn't have upgrade system as deep as DRG, but it has stratagems and the fact that Helldivers (first one) has a booster that cuts cooldowns for stratagems in half and Helldivers 2 have literally no boosters that interact with stratagems in any way is embarrassing. EMS strike could be a good crowd control option, if it didn't have a minute and something cooldown when effect lasts only 15 seconds.
      3. Nothing can one-shot you
      At least without new modifiers for difficulty. If you have full health and shield, chances of you dying in less than a second randomly is so slim that they might not even exist. You always have time to react and retreat or flee away, unless you're at 20hp and didn't search for red sugar, then that's your fault.
      There is still one annoying and pretty uncomfortable mechanic that exist in Helldivers 2 and can't be removed... ragdolling. Heavy armor = heavy = less flying uncontrollably + ability TO NOT STAND UP AFTER RAGDOLL STATE, character in Helldivers 2 always stands up after ragdoll, you have no choice to just lay down and keep crawling, after every ragdoll you have to fully stand up, get a couple hits and then lay back down, that should not exist, there is no skill in that.
      Overall, to be fair, DRG is in development for a long time and they had time to polish their mechanics. I hope and I believe that Arrowhead will too, Helldivers (first one) is pretty good after all. "Skill issue, don't get hit" should not be an excuse, there should always be another option. At the end of the day difficulty 9 doesn't feel hard, at least in coop as the game should be played, I can't remember last time I've lost a mission with squad of 4 players (including me) and god did I lose a lot of DRG missions recently. Difficulty 9 currently feels just frustrating or boring, because it's either a walking simulator, or ragdoll/stugger simulator, on both bugs (thanks stalkers that can jump on you from 20 meters away and atack with that jump, also they can do another attack right after and a buch of them can do that instantaneously resulting in instakill) and bots, because 5 heavy and 5 rocket devastators (in the best case scenario) do brrrrrrrr.
      Im not a game designer to know how to fix everything, but I just want the game to feel good.
      ....damn, no one gonna read that

    • @Damglador
      @Damglador 3 месяца назад +1

      @@themarlboromandalorian I know, but at some point you will have to shoot something and that WILL result in bot drop and now you have to run and hide as a coward waiting for everything to despawn, because there is no point to fight anything, game incentivises only running and hiding. For example Helldivers (fist one). Deep scan missions in there actually had to be defended, they might be the hardest missions in the game because of that. If you don't defend the drill - you lose the mission, no coming back with all enemies despawned, if its destroyed or out of your screen - you lost it and that's it. In Helldivers 2 you start the drill, do monitor things as fast as you can and you will even be able to escape or just die without fighting bot drop, if you didn't get it in time - you run away and do other things to then come back and press one button. Actually the same applies to the main drill, but for it you have no option to complete it in one go, you'll have yo retreat and return at least one time... or die, trying to defend it if you decide to do that for fun.
      Fun way to play shouldn't always be the optimal way to play and optimal way to play shouldn't always be fun, but if you decide to choose fun way to play, this decision shouldn't be punished. Idk a better way to describe that. Probably too much text for a simple response.
