Nice vid....just want to let u know that there is a lever near the part of wiper blade that slides out but u have to flex up the blade on its hinge near the connecting point. While u flex the blade to its max point on hinge....the blade will pop right out. Cheers.
My 1993 full size ww wipers just quit working If it was the bushings would I still hear the moter working. because when I turned on the wipers I got nothing so I'm thinking it's the motor what do you think thank you
Hey man, digging your channel so far. I am preparing my 89 D100 (Walnut Brown like yours) for paint. Just replaced my bushings as well and needed a little visual on how the arms went back together cuz I didnt photo it. Thanks man.
I have 2 dodge rams, a 91 w150 and a 90 w250. Both of them the windshield wipers stopped working on. I have taken them to multiple different shops and have been told they can’t fix them. With what you just did I should be able to do it myself! Wtf would they say they can’t fix them?!
Ok I need help !! I did this same thing because bushing were broke. Put it back together the drivers side goes up and down wich is fine but the passenger goes down towards the front hood I don’t get it ..
You might have to reinstall the passenger side arm again I’ll take it off and turn the wiper on and shut them off when the driver side is all the way up and reinstall the passenger side and see if it operates properly
The Dorman 49447 is a assorted pack it comes with 3 or 4 different style bushing to fit Chrysler/Dodge, Ford and GM vehicles. The 49440 comes with just the Chrysler/Dodge style bushing for vehicle 1995-1974.
I've been working on mine. Try to find OE MOPAR nylon bushings, not Dorman. The made-in-China junk doesn't fit. OE type fits the best. Soften them first by soaking them in hot water for a few minutes. Replace all 4 bushings even if only one is broken. Mark the rods before you take them apart so you know how they go back together.
Hey y'all; can I connect just the one linkage arm that operates the driver side wiper without connecting over to the passenger side? Just use the one driver side wiper? Thanks

My Haynes manual doesn't say how to replace these. Definitely saved my day with this video.
Wow same as my 1977 both of mine were off and buried in mouse nest packed. Thank you now I know how they go!
no problem and good luck
Your interior is gorgeous. Mine all gray and faded gray exterior . 1985 D250.
You are awesome!!! Thanks for posting this. My 1993 w250 had this issue.
Glad it helped

Mine is a 1990 dodge van but that looks pretty much the same so, THANK YOU!

Yeah man no problem i can't post pics on here but DM on instagram and i'll send some pics to you how they went back on @autorays_yt
Your truck is the same year and colors as mine, except mine's a 3/4 ton. I'm going to try to devise a permanent fix next time my wiper bushings fail.
yeah I sprayed rainX on the windshield after i replaced the bushing and haven't had to use the wipers that much since lol
same with my 2500
OH my this is rather crude, there is a nice little tool that removes the wiper arms its under 10 bucks and wont damage the truck!
Also awesome video. Very helpful and informative.

Idk why they say that it’s just the plastic nylon bushing that over time breaks the actual metal linkage arms will last forever
Mine is missing screws in the same spot, my guess is previous owners needed a screw for something lol
Thanks alo man..
Very helpful thank you

@@autoraysgarage8938 they mopar bushings last longer thx again
In other video he mentions the bushing 49447 for dodge ram gen1 and you the bushing 49449. Do you know the reason?

@@autoraysgarage8938 Thank you very much friend for the clarification.
Doorman part no. 49-440
It must be a big secret on how to attache these bushings. You didn't show how they go.
You push the bushing through the hole thats its
@@autoraysgarage8938 Soak them in hot water first. It softens up the nylon, makes them easier to push through without breaking.
I have a 89 d100 and my wipers go so slow I changed the motor but it’s still slow can’t drive in the rain, how is yours so fast?
If a new motor didn't work then sounds like you got a bad switch or relay causing it to stay on the slow speed setting
Good day sir. Im having the same problem with my 91Ram. Did have to replace multiple bushings or was it just one?

You just messin with me? just like that...can't be done huh?
@@KingdomUploader Try and you'll see.
You do have clips but your tabs are bent up on the wipers !!!
Hay dude you do have a locking mechanizes to hold the wiper to the arm You'll see now don't brake anything else.
