Nai Yang beach is a good option(next to the ariport for families) but generally phuket is the most expensive area in Thailand. Just to clarify Grab is not banned in Phuket, available from the airport and across most of phuket, (as is bolt), l have used both for the last 3 years. Unfortunately Phuket has lost a lot of its charm now and is just very busy city.
Freedom beach like hidden gem? Overrated 100% ! To much crowd, pointless place while you have to pay to go there ( that’s not hidden ,that’s business ) ! There’s more beaches ,with better quality in all aspects with less crowds Cba,your video is amazing tho
I've used this one before www.viator.com/tours/Phuket/Phuket-Airport-Arrival-Transfer/d349-150859P9?pid=P00003200&uid=U00447311&mcid=58086¤cy=USD
I'm curious if there is a source on Grab being banned - I can't seem to find any info on this and the app shows me they're available in Phuket (due to arrive in Feb, used them in Krabi and Bangkok many many times previously). The good people of Reddit seem to recommend Bolt www.reddit.com/r/phuket/comments/1hox25z/alternatives_to_grab_in_phuket/ but say Grab IS available so I'm a little sus about the accuracy of this video..
Grab is available. I have used it and bolt for the last 3 years. The 2 airport buses are worth using if you are staying close to their drop of spots. Airport bus (yellow), 100 baht from the ariport direct to phuket town runs every hr and the the one to Patong area (west side of island) (blue bus) is also the same price and hrly both ways.
In Phuket atm and taxis are crazy! I've got a bike so I'm getting around fine but avoid taxis if you can. If you need a car might be better to hire a driver that sticks with you? Also, taxis are not cheap at all. Found cheaper taxis in Lisbon!!

Which airport pickup would you recommend if Grab isn't available in Phuket?
