I think that the crocodile might symbolize danger and devouring love (in psychanalisis the crocodile symbolizes suffocating affection of a parent; that's not the case, but could be the danger of being totally absorbed by a toxic love; lana graduated in philosophy, so it's possible that her symbolism can be very sophisticated and have layers of interpretation)

Man I met Lana del Rey in Glasgow Jan. 2023 at a PUB where Ft. John Misty was playing and she asked me for the lighter. I had no idea who she was. After the break she goes up the stage and Im like WTF SHES ON THE STAGE WITH MY IDOL. So since then I have been diving into her albums one by one, there are clearly the ones who prefer the newer, much more mature stuff (everything from Norman Fckn Rockwell, a masterpiece). This public tend to be older. But since I did the opposite way - newest to oldest, it would be lovely if you gave a chance to something like The Greatest from NFR or Did you know there’s a tunnel under ocean blvrd so you can give us your impressions (on everything- music, lyric, video, looks). Sounds like fair with your fans! ❤😅

As a general piece of advice, if you’re gonna listen to her discography, PLEASE, and i mean please avoid her newer stuff until you got her earliest albums (born to die, paradise ultraviolence, honeymoon) covered first 😂😂 or else you’re gonna be really confused about lana sonically.
‘Born to die/ultraviolence’ lana and ‘modern’ lana (norman f**king rockwell and onwards) are almost like two completely different, separate artists when it comes to the music, sound, and aesthetic. She’s still very much still “lana”, but a grown version. There’s a level maturity and mastery in her newer music that isn’t present in her early albums.
With an artist like her, listening to her albums in order is critical to understanding the world that she created with her music, and appreciating how much she has grown and changed since then.

Loved this reaction!! I absolutely agree. I have always loved tasteful sensuality and eroticism well done, which has become SOOO uncommon nowadays.
