definitely continue with her albums!💕 Lana has a sound completely unique to her yet each album is its own experience and she effortlessly explores new genres
If you want to hear straight up intense and sad storytelling from her id recommend her latest project - did you know that there’s a tunnel under ocean boulevard - however this might be an intense jump from born to die given that she has 9 official albums out!
Definitely please react to ultraviolence!! You get to see some of her progression as an artist. It’s very much story telling + much more of vocals are shown. It’s much darker than this album and a bit psychedelic rock. Also fun fact she recorded ultraviolence all in one take!
Subbed for more lana!! Born to die was a cultural reset at the time, it was way ahead of it's time, and she's influenced all the big artists today, taylor, billie, olivia, chappel, charlie xcx, lorde, etc. ultraviolence is a GEM if u wanna do that nexttt :)). Off to the races is my #1 lana song since i heard it when it came out. Lolita references, metaphors, storyline and imagery, the hip hop flow, the BRIDGE, the voice inflections>>> everything is perfect to me. She goes for older men a lot as you'll see, so her old man is just her bf or lover. yes lana blends many many genres together shes always been a big fan of hip hop/rap/trap music and u can hear the influence. along w rock which you'll def hear in ultraviolence. most of her work is based on her life though, shes said before, some parts could b dramatized but it is usually based on experience. video games was her breakout hit, along w summertime sadness, never got olddd. yea diet mountain dew as in she loves it but its toxic to her, relating to a relationship. u gotta watch the national anthem music video w asap rockyyy, they were the cutest. in National anthem she compares patriotism w her undying love for her man, along w the american dream and the toxic sides to america. dark paradise is truly saddd, about her ex who died unfortunately and the fact that she can't not think ab him and feels suicidal because hes not around anymore. Carmen is also very sad, its a metaphor for alcohol and her addiction for it from a young young age (shes sober now:) Million dollar man is even better in her old live performances, she puts a spinnn to ittt. if u like artists who experiment, i think you'll def like Lana's other stuff as well.
That Pink Floyd division bell album is my fav!!! Love that you’re sporting that shirt! Marooned and high hopes are my fav songs by them. And ofc love Lana and this reaction! Glad you started from the beginning.
@@Goldun-nah you’re a music head frfr, the fact that you know the shirt just off rip lol. A lil sneak peek into my future plans is I wanna do a “search for the goat album” and react to every album in goat talks, even if I’ve already listened to them, I wanna like really analyze them tho. Pink Floyd definitely has goat album conversations. I hope you enjoy both my Lana reactions, she’s 2/2 for me. I hope I could catch up before her newest project but I doubt that lol
This is just her first project to understand what you are getting into. The rest of her albums gets really personal so this is the best ice breaker so you would appreciate the rest.
loveee ur reaction and i love lana. also when it says written by “elizabeth grant” that’s lana’s real name and she wrote it when she made music under her actual name , so all her songs are written by her.
@NeptunesTunes so ya should jump into the Paradise EP ! Then Ultraviolence ! 👌 BTW tell your kitties I said what's up kitties !! I just took in a stray last month myself. And we have three other older cats too. Love me some animals !!! At one point we had six dogs and six cats ! 🥴
born to die and paradise is sad but the production makes it cool that u can't be sad ultraviolence and honeymoon are melancholic af but ethereal and beautiful
Blue banisters, honeymoon and oceans boulevard are more darker in content and more personal but do the discography in order . The whole album is impeccable storytelling. That's one of the areas where she shine.
my audio is fucked up some reason, the music is louder than me so when I’m talking during the music (I should probably be pausing it anyways) you can’t really hear me lol
Hey! New sub here :) I like how chill you are! This album is a treasure to behold. And yes, her lyrics are phenomenal, you were not tripping for sure there at the end. Her bridges and switch-ups mid-song are also amazing. She literally imprints images into your mind. I guess that is one of the reasons her music is said to have a "cinematic quality" to it :D Recently I rediscovered her music and I am super-hooked, like I am listening to these songs all over again. I see so many similarities to Billie EIlish, Grimes and even Taylor Swift in many cases. She really was ahead of her time in a way. Apparently they all consider her to be one of their biggest influence as well. Btw, if I may recommend some songs: Yosemite, Heroin, Pink Champagne (unreleased), Ride (Sohn Remix) and the super-underrated collaboration with Jon Baptiste called Life Lesson. But you know, every Lana superfan will recommend you thousands of songs and we have limited time so I am not going to ask you to react to anything :D
New sub! I really like your reactions! This is totally extra and you def don't have to but Lana has a nice poetry book (idk if you're into poetry) and it's called 'Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass' and there's an audiobook on Spotify or uploads on RUclips
Awww dude ! Got me in my feelings before the music even began ! Sorry to hear you're going through something. Whatever it is, go straight through it ! Don't try getting over it, or running from it. Sit with it for as long as necessary, feel it, and come out better on the other side, faster and more whole than if you were to try to avoid whatever it is. Lana has the power to heal anything ! 😅 She's literally therapeutic on so many levels. Having lost 2 very important people in my life, her music has been the only thing that's gotten me through it ! She's something special. You'll start picking up more and more as time goes on and the more music of hers ya get into. She's such top tier artistry. I'm sorry we didn't get to see your original first listen, but that made it even more special for ya. It wasn't suppose to be for us, only you ! Allegedly 😅 🤷♂️😅 You're the second person who compared off to the races to Harley Quinn. And Lana's real name is Elizabeth Grant. She's written her entire discography, aside from the covers, herself, with the help of her producers, and im really stoked to see your emotions come through for the rest of this journey we're on with Lana !! 😁😁😁😁 Keep on keepin on, my guy ! This too shall pass 💫 Im headed to the gym but I'll finish this up as soon as i get back ! Looking forward to this !! 😊 Edit: ultraviolence def sinks down deeper into the darkness that is hinted at on born to die. Im suuuure you're gonna really love it.
I’m actually super excited to listen to her discography, when this dropped my cousin immediately texted me saying Norman Fucking Rockwell is a must. 😭 I wanna react to every album tho 🤞🏽 I’m currently relistenijg to Born 2 Die while I’m working lol, music sounds soooo much better in the Amazon van. Also I appreciate the beginning portion of the paragraph, it’s just a lil speed bump but it could be worse 🤎
you should react to born to die demos (like national anthem there's 2 demos for it and i personally prefer the 2nd one called i want it all and diet mountain dew, it adds pre chorus) and u should also react to unreleased lana del rey songs (Trash magic, zodiac/purify me, put me in a movie etc) and the diet mountain dew meaning is well the song is about her toxic relationship with society standards so diet mountain dew would be like a woman being forced or needing to have a diet to fit the standards and extra thing u should watch summertime sadness music video, as the song is abt her friend who commited the video has some scenes with video clips of the friend its kinda edgy and creepy but rly emotional too edit: aLOT changes on national anthem 2nd demo even the name so for me it would be like an entirely new song but diet mountain dew is pretty much the same thing but with pre chorus, lana has MANYY unreleased songs and they are soo good u should def react to atleast one or two unreleased

My favorite artist ever is Kendrick lol so hearing this reminds me of him , makes me excited for her development

I need to experience the heart shattering moments 🫡
"i want to find sad music" he says right before listening to dark paradise what a timing
It took me a minute to realize how dark the song was. I was 2 focused on it being familiar. 😭

I’m super excited for Ultraviolence lol
born to die and paradise is sad but the production makes it cool that u can't be sad ultraviolence and honeymoon are melancholic af but ethereal and beautiful
They are necessary songs imo, it’s cool when someone can make an upbeat song with a sad message, it always brings me back to Heya

react to ultraviolence. pretty when you cry is a freestyle
Lana freestyling is a krazy thing to be told
You have the voice of a radio show person
lol I appreciate it, if that’s a good thing 😭, hearing my own voice is still weird
