Woodturning - Turning an Ugly Block into a Beautiful Vase

As soon as a saw this piece I knew the grain would be amazing once sanded, and it certainly didn't disappoint! English oak always looks fabulous when it has strong grain. The little vase was sanded to 7000 grit and finished with wood wax. Let me know what you think and what project you'd like to see next.

That’s beautiful as usual hairy. What kind of glue did you use to attach the tenant to your piece with?

Thank you very much Steve! It was a 5 minute epoxy, I don't really trust PVA based wood glue when it comes to tenons attached like that. Also the epoxy is much quicker 😊👍
