- This was super fun except for maybe the part where I almost burnt our house down. Oops! I think it would be fun to do more pages based on anime, shows or movies, what do you think?

I'll have to try to do one in a couple weeks after the convention, but I think it would be a super fun video!
A fun tip for wax seals: you can do your wax seals onto wax/parchment paper, peel the seal off and then glue it into your book.
I like doing them directly into the book but sometimes if I want a to ensure a certain angle or something it's nice to that option of being able to redo it if something goes wrong.
Also, now you can put wax seals on any mail you sent out and that's fun!
I was out of town so didn't see this until the 30th. Please, don't read the instructions - that was a true blood pressure raising adventure; I loved it. I can't remember everything I wanted to comment on, but "a sun with joy, barf", and the Bob Ross "happy little seagulls" will bring me joy for days.

I do love this spread. The wax seal took it over the top and made it really special. Glad your house didn’t burn down 😂 I’d love to see a live stream of this process too!!
And don’t let people make you feel weird about watching things slowly. I, too, am a one episode a day person, and it’s lovely. I get to slow down and enjoy and savor each moment. You watch One Piece at whatever rate you want; all that matters is that you have a good time 🏴☠️

To remove the wax from the pourer, pop it in the freezer for probably about an hour coz it's small. That's how I remove wax from my burners. I used to work for Yankee Candle.

I have never watched One Piece so I don't know any of the characters to pick. But I have never played Fortnite and love the Rabbit Raider. So much so that one of my kids bought me the action figure and he is hanging up on my wall in the box. I know nothing about him or what goes on in the game, but after seeing him one time I loved him. Take joy in what you can.

I loooove these RUclips longer videos of scrapbooking! I´ve been looking for scrapbook videos on youtube to watch while doing scrapbooking and idk man, none of them match your awesome chaotic, funny vibe.
Also my bday was the 25th and I got like 3 games! Flamecraft, DragonKeepers (which is not available in my country at all so my dad jumped through hoops to get it lol), and Dixit Disney edition!^^ I just wanted to share that with someone who's actually interested in board games

I never got into One Piece, but I was into Inu Yasha, Red River, Case Closed, a handful of others, and then at the end of my anime/manga phase, I got into Death Note, which I still LOVE to this day.
This page, though, is really cute, and I love how you just dove into the wax seal thing.I'm sad I'm not gonna be able to go to the convention you'll be at next weekend. I'm going to PA on Saturday for Brigid Kemmerer's book signing, and they're not selling individual days for that board game con.
Aww, that's too bad! I think they'll do single days next year. I think this year because it was a first time at a new venue, they wanted to keep it simple. But if all goes well, I imagine next year will have more options.

Now, all you do is take a metallic gold or silver marker and rub it over the seal so it highlights the raised bits. A great page, you are such fun to watch.
The party scrap book sounds fun! Freeze the wax holder to get the old wax out. Also you can use a gold or silver pen to add highlight to your seal, 😊 once it is set/dry.
I think it turned out so well. I really like the finished page! Most videos I see with wax seals seals so satisfying, but you doing it is probably more accurate to what it would be like for me. I've read about 100ish chapters of One Piece and I think Luffy is my favorite of the characters I've met so far. I haven't read any of it in awhile so I need to get back to it, but there is always a never ending list of things I need to finish.
I like that craft livestream idea. I do think that would be a fun time. Hangout while doing crafts. 😊😊

My favourite One Piece character is someone you haven't met yet, so to avoid spoilers I'd say it's Zoro. Yes he's very badass and cool but he's also goofy and extremely directionally challenged (I've never seen anyone get lost so confidently lol). He's also one of the most sensible Straw Hats who doesn't get fooled easily. Do you remember his fight scene at Whiskey Peak/Cactus Island? (where he first fought against Baroque Works?) Zoro's coolness reached new heights for me when I first saw that hehe. And Zoro is super duper loyal to his captain and that's sweet.

I just starter One Piece. Im on episode 3. I have a small group of online friends who have ALL watched it and talk about it nonstop. I was never into anime but kind of started getting into it last year. I watched Sailor Moon, Avatar and The Legend of Korra, and the Dragon Prince. My 7yo really got into them all as well. He was Tuxedo Mask for Halloween last year and my 15yo daughter was Sailor Moon. After all of this, that group of friends peer pressured me (jk) into watching One Piece. 😂 I have enjoyed it so far.
I don't know if this is feasible, but how about a whole scrapbook based around one fandom? You could do favourite scenes, themes, quotes, characters etc

Great video. I love how you just went for it with the wax seal. I have so many supplies that I don't use because I'm not quite sure how to use them, and this is a great reminder to just go for it. Not going to lie when I heard one piece I thought of a bathing suit, which obviously was not what you were talking about. 😂 I looked it up, and I would have to say that I like Blondie.

A good way to remove wax from a candle jar or in something like that is put it in the freezer for a few hours and the wax should just pop out once it’s cold enough. I’ve done that successfully with jarred candles to use the jar/pot whatever it’s in for something else. Not sure if someone said this bc I don’t like reading other peoples comments so sorry if I’m repeating info.

So much of one piece is about taking your adventure at your own pace, it is wild to tell someone enjoying the series to watch it any differently than they already are.

I adore all of the straw hats but Luffy has been my far favorite from day one, Zoro is a distant but strong second.

I’m binge watching the ones that are up at the moment. I love this series. I love that you do a whole backstory for each of these spreads. 😊 eventually you’ll need a three tier rolling cart for journal supplies.

I love that you did the wax seal! They add a little something to it all. Definitely chaotic fun. I use markers to make distinct colours as so not ready to layer my wax yet. My fave besides Luffy is Zorro, love their friendship, the two lost buddies.
Yeah, I realized after the fact that I had a silver and gold marker in the set that I could use on the wax seal. Next time!!

They make little molds for your wax seals that are circular and you pour your wax in then use the seal. That way you can make a bunch ahead of time and just use a sticky something to affix it to your page/letter/loved ones. I keep a bunch on hand for those moments when you just must have a wax seal but no time for fire! I now feel like this might not be a problem other people have 😂

What I want to know is how is your journal still lying flat? You inspired me to start junk journaling and my junk journal is so fat already that the front cover is at a 30 degree angle from the back cover. 😂

I never done wax stamps but I have seen people on instagram make them and they do so many layers of colours and such and they make them also off their final destination, then cut the edges off if they don’t like them and glue them. So that seems an option!

How I remove wax from my old candles or wax melter is by soaking it in boiling water. If you heat up a mug of water for like a min or 2 in the microwave, you can probably soak the little tool in it for about an hour or so and the wax should float to the top or be soft enough to wipe off

I haven’t watched one piece since I was a kid when it was on the cartoon channels but I think I remember just really loving luffy (I don’t know how it’s spelled) I really enjoyed this page sometimes less is more which worked for this page
