Long hair all the wayyyyyy!, and girl you already know we want to see some hair style turtorials!! whats the best way to style your hair for working out? My extensions are heavy and my pony always comes loose in the middle of my cardio workouts, but I have a hard time covering my extensions when I do a french braid! Please help ya girl out lol
It would’ve blended more if she split it in quads and did thinner sections & maybe even did a bricklay pattern in the back also she should’ve left our hair around the perimeter .
I decided to starting doing tape in extensions earlier this year (between all the bleaching and dying, and fertility meds for about 2 yrs, my hair just would not grow, and it broke easily), the only down fall, which I knew to expect, is paying almost $200 every 7-8 weeks to have them moved up.. I recently took them out to let my hair breathe for a week or so, and wanted to get them put back in, but just don't have the money for it... I am seriously so happy I found this video. You make it look so easy. I did get pretty good at putting a couple sections back in that would fall out... So I am hoping after watching this a couple dozen times, I don't have any issues putting them all back in myself.
I have 7 packs ready. I’ve done clip in, glue and sew before. You made this look fairly simple and I feel confident to do this on my own now. Yours look so good. Thanks!
Thanks so much I’ve had tapes for years no issues but where I’ve moved to I’ve tried 3 qualified hairdressers and all 3 did the worst jobs. I’ve had them right at my hairline, all up top none underneath, or way too close to the roots and so so painful. Been thinking of just doing it myself based on the placement I’m used to and I know looks good but was scared to. This vid gave me the confidence and it worked out perfectly they look and feel perfect! Yay thank you xx
I like how you do your back, apply the overs first, then sandwich under, thank you, that's much easier than one at a time, glad I found this before doing mine
@DW-pq7ni glad you said that because I always thought sew in was the best and something I can't afford. NOW I don't feel like I'm missing out on something better.
I was going to make an appointment to get tape in extensions put in at a salon, they were going to charge me over $900.00!! I’m second guessing this, and will put them in myself. Thank you so much for this helpful video
Where I’m gonna go it’s about 500-700 depending on the length and how many bundles. It’s at an Ulta salon but I know everyone there and I’m going with a pro who charges a little more for the application but I’m confident in his skill and ability plus I got points to help save some money. I would like to be able to do it myself but I have no idea how to do it and I’d rather not mess it up lol.
I always get my extensions done with a stylist but this video helped me alot applying my own. Followed the same procedure she did and you won't believe it looked amazing!
i am waiting on my last pack of tapr in extensions and have shorter hair length and uneven. the way you explained and show your way of putting in tape helped me give me an idea of how to do it right!!
I’ve watched a couple videos of other people doing this and they didn’t look great. I’m so glad I ran into your video today. You made it so easy to understand, you get straight to the point, and your hair looks amazing! I love it! Good job ❤️
I have a question do you put one on top and one underneath it ? or do you just put one and move onto the next row . because it look like you use may be 12 of them. I ordered 20 and my hair is super short and your hair is long compared, and my hair is like 2 inches long because I bleached it and then I bleached it again And it fell off where my new growth came in that is I mean ! I am so upset ! I’m gonna be doing tape on 2 inches of hair I’m sure they’re going to look good because there’s only 2 niches so it’s gonna be free on the bottom but that was my question. Do I put one on top and one underneath or do I just put one and move onto the next row?

@@annieelovee22 same here, I’ve never had one tape slip since doing it this way. Also a huge benefit being able to do my own hair now, & not spend almost a grand a pop at the salon lol.
Thank you for your tutorial. It was perfect. I am a hairdresser but was nervous about applying them to myself for the first time. After finding your video I followed it exactly and I am so happy with the placement. My hair is sparse in the front also like yours. But also very thin. Thank you again.
I just finished watching about 10 how to's and yours is the BEST! I've been having a stylist do it but it is so darn expensive so I think I might start doing them myself. Thank you!
As a hairdresser I’m usually never happy with these videos, but this was super great! With this video I tought my fiancé how to do my extensions for me lmao

Your video has helped me sooo much! I’m not even kidding.. my best friend has me helping her dye and put her tape ins in her hair and I’ve never done anything with hair before and your video saved her head lol! Now we’re doing this process for the second time and I’m watching again for a refresher course 😂 thank you!!!
I just want to thank this girl so much . I have been trying to put Ext in my hair for over a week now , wasn’t doing them right they were pulling on my flyways etc. anyways after watching this video I’m literally half way through my head . Thank you soo much !
Kirstie Roche I just saw this lol.. honestly your amazing ! You literally saved me soo much money cause I was about to give up and go pay . I get many compliments and they are literally shocked when I tell them it’s extensions and more shocked when I tell them I did myself ( with the help of you) thank you 🙏
Where did you buy the extensions from? And what's the name of the products? You did such a lovely job explaining everything to a t!! Thank you so much ❤😊
You make this look so EASY! I am installing my OWN extensions because the 1st time I went to a local hair(Hawaii) salon, the stylist said she had never done them, but had watched it done. She ended up not only doing it completely WRONG, but, she left me in SO MUCH PAIN, because the hair wasn't separated/parted properly(if even parted at all). She did not make "hair sandwiches" just stuck each single piece ALL the way up to my scalp & hairline. She kept running to the bathroom with the hair in her hand. I later(when I got home), counted the hair, & she had stolen more than a dozen wefts. She also left ZERO hair for the front & sides, (because she put too much in the back, and hid the rest in the bathroom). She had agreed on only charging me $300 no matter how long it took. She googled" how much it costs to have hair installed at a salon"and got SO MAD, she started pulling my hair, smoking in the salon(blowing smoke in my face), and thats probably why she stole the hair I needed for the front/sides, what a nightmare 😳!! Thank you for this video, even if I screw it up, it can NEVER be as bad as that salon! P.s. she's a solo owner, (nobody to complain to), but her, and she KNEW I was 😡.
what a nightmare story I have spent a small fortune trying to get my hair done, the last time someone melted my hair and she taped extensions on the sides because i had basically no hair left then she dyed it darker when I wanted vanilla blonde hair it was a nightmare so i am trying to figure something where i can start doing my own because even if it is messed up at least i do it myself
I’ve colored my hair so much and had to cut quite a bit. I miss my long green hair and wanted extensions but with custom color I’m going to spend thousandsssssss - DIY time!
Thanks hun, I am loving it :) So happy with how well they blended even though being such a different colour to my hair, I have now also put a toner through it so it blends in even better xx
This video is super helpful I’m a hairstylist and wasn’t even sure on how to go about putting them in on myself since the first time someone else did but I recommend following this if you want to do them yourself
Can you do a tutorial on hair styles with your tape in extensions And can you do two Dutch braids with them? I play netball and that’s how my hair has to be
Maddi I never braid my hair with tapes because they will be seen as I wear them up so high. Don’t currently have them in at the moment but they go back in tomorrow so I’ll look at filming some hair styles x
Very pretty and nice colour match. I can still sort of see front on by the sides of your neck the shorter ends from the blunt cut. Grabbing those & tucking them into a small ponytail or clipping into a bun at your nape so they'll be hidden by the longer extensions/length at the back will help a lot. Probably be less noticeable when it's curled also. Otherwise looks really good.
@@KirstieRoche and I'm sure you look just as gorgeous with your new hair too! I'm a hair extensions junkie, I've been trawling videos regarding different installations, I thought this was really good, even if it is an older video 😊
@@KirstieRoche what kind are you wearing now? I had tapes, micro rings & the micro weft too, I was thinking of trying some DIY tapes, but I've got a weft at home & might try to DIY the micro weft. I've done DIY & professional for most methods. My cities in lockdown right now though, so DIY it is!
Nikki Pratt Tapes :) did just have some wefts in but I removed them after a week. The ones I have now are from vogue hair group, they are really nice, or Jadore have amazing hair too 😍
Up to you, just see how confident you feel, I’ve been doing my own for probably about 10 years or more so had lots of practice. Just don’t place them too close to the scalp or near your hair line
Sorry for my ignorance...do you have to sandwich another extension right under as you showed? Or can you simply place 1 extension and move on...with nothing on underside? Or do you do that so that the tape doesn't seep through and grab onto other hair strands? Also, are you using actual heat with hair straightener or just using it for pressure? Again, sorry for these dumb questions. Thank you kindly
Wow, you did such an amazing job and it looked so effortless. I wish I was this coordinated, I've tried just putting them on the sides and have the hardest time LOL, it looks beautiful.
@@KirstieRoche I don't know how to do none public messages here, SO Sorry to be jumping in here... AWESOME video, THANK YOU! My hair has started falling out after I lost 40lbs in two weeks following an acute illness with my pancreas. Yuck I know! I've always looked 20yrs younger than my age, hair is important to look healthy. I'm trying to look myself and feel pretty again! Can't find HUMAN HAIR EXTENSIONS ONLINE!? Please help! SORRY TO JUMP IN HERE.. Haven't seen you respond to many, I don't blame you, but you did here, so hope you'll see this. So many silly kids on here, i believe that is changing now. Most of us don't have thick enough skin to do what you do, And you are very good at it, KEEP GOING BECAUSE YOU IT WELL!, REALLY!!!!
Kristie, I've been struggling trying to install my tape in extensions on myself, you make it look so easy! Any way you can possibly show a picture (still shot) of how you set up your mirrors? I cant seem to find the right angle =(
I've been bullied because of my hair at my new school and I'm 11 i want hair extensions because I have super thin and short hair so i have one question are they waterproof
You don't need extensions, you need self-esteem and self-love, honey. Noone is worth your time, energy, nerves. Fuck the haters, love yourself. At the end of the day that's all what matters.
Do your extensions ever come loose and y need to reapply them? I have bead extensions currently and I’m thinking of switching to tape ins! I love your video and your extensions are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! 😘😘😘
if you place them up higher, how do you style so the extensions can't be seen? my hair is about the same length as yours so i want to do the same method you used
I'm getting my first ever tape in hair extensions in a month's time and I'm kind of nervous I haven't had long hair still 2013 I have always cut it I've designed to finally grow it out from a undercut and side shaved and it's still not long enough so I'm happy to finally have long hair again can you tell you have tape ins will it be noticeable when I tie it up ?
Kristie, question here. I have my extensions, and I needed to tone them to ash them out. I shampooed them thoroughly, and in doing so I saturated the tapes. Do I need to allow the tapes to dry thoroughly first, or can I apply them to my hair while damp?
Which tape tabs hold the best? I got some from glam seamless and they don’t stick good. I would get it done but looking at ur video doing them on ur own makes me just wanna do it I my own. Which tape tabs work best? And stick VERY good? Pls lmk:(
I always have 60 tapes in because I love thick hair 💖 I wear the zala tape in hair extensions :) I always get my stylist to apply them for me because I can’t do it lol
Cassidy Turton I haven’t tried Zala but I’ve heard lots of mixed reviews on their hair, Good on you for getting someone else to apply them, better to be safe than sorry hehe xx
@kittywaymo hello my name is Sheila Hunter I'm an actress and stand in, love your tutorials! Also can you please tell me about your nails are so pretty what colors are they and is there any way that you could perhaps share a link of what nail polish they are and length thank you! :-) if there's a link also for the human hair extensions online that would be awesome and if they're available on Amazon or Ebay? Thank you so much!🌷❤
Omg! This way looks way easier! I just applied mine last night but some are tugging. You think I should remove and retape or will they get more comfortable? Is it damaging to leave them in if they pull a bit? I wish I had seen your tutorial and I did a lot of research!
Ok first do you have a large mirror in front and back of you because i cant see any thing. 2. For each extension are you using tape that sticks to the microweft then pull the hair up and apply another piece of tape under your real hair?
Never tried tape ins yet but now I want too. So I have some questions..they come with sticky substance on them or its actual tape? Do they actually stick to the hair or is it gonna be one of them things where it wont stick and I have a hard time with it? Also once I stick them on they last till I decide to take them off? Will it be hard to get them out of my hair?and last question once there out can I reapply them or Is the stickiness gone? Please lmk I'm dying to change my hair
What about thicker hair ? I normally wear it natural so I'd like the extentions to be natural as possible by this I mean do they go curly or wavy when wet ? Thanks x
This is an amazing video and you did a wonderful job! Your hair looks absolutely GORGEOUS! Thank You for your guidance on this, Miss Kirstie. Your video really helped me understand how to install tape-in extensions and I am truly grateful to you. God Bless You, Stay Safe and Beautiful!
I’m gotten pretty used to applying them myself but I’ve never tried the method you do where you apply the top first then pull up the extension and sandwich the bottom!! Seems like it’s easier I’m def trying that way. Typically how long do they last for you?
lailaaoxx It’s way easier applying them this way :) I keep mine in for 8-10 weeks before I remove and re apply, my last hair lasted me a year, these are new ones so I’ll have them for a year too xx
Wait how do they last a year..? Hair grows which would cause the tape in extensions to move down. How do you move them back up? How many weeks go by before you have to move them back up..?
I do my own hair Extensions I been doing my hair seen over 10 years already I Learned so much about different types of techniques and hair extensions the only reason why I do my own hair is for a couple of reasons but the main one is I know is a Business but hair salons over over charge is crazy the stuff That I Learned Is just crazy people literally will pay up to 1000 and more for these types of techniques and others is crazy and I Live in New York they are over pricing that’s all I’m going to say
Adriana lovely1290 my friend pays crazy amounts for her extensions. For the ones I have now in salons around me it’s about $500 so not too bad but still 🙄
Kirstie Roche thanks for replying back but wow is still a lot but not that bad but I seeing way worst of amount then that there was a lady of a sister friend that had her own little business at her house and at that time I new a little about hair extensions but not to much and I was Young but not stupid at that time I was Obsessed with hair extensions cause my hair was so short and so for my birthday she was like hey I will do your hair for free and stuff so we call her like the next day and she was like it going to be 500 to 600 and I was in shock she was like for you 500 to 600 let see how it goes cause I charge up to I thousand But that lady no FAKE I was so sad and discourage but I definitely did not do my hair with that lady no after that and cause she was like is going to be a birthday gift but is ok cause after that I started doing research after research Learned a lot about hair extensions and let me tell you hair Salon are over pricing and I understand the time and they say is good Quality of hair and it is but no they pay for those hair not at all to much and they get it from other Country where they get a it way way cheaper then here and so is crazy they are over pricing and is sad so what I do every time I go to Dominican Republic I get my hair over there and do it myself
Adriana lovely1290 I wish lived by me I do tape ins but want to better. I do my daughter hair it must look great because all of bf from college come over to ask me to do there’s I’m just starting to learn beads. I make them buy everything and I use them to learn more and more!
Charlene Ruiz I’m telling you that the way to go these hair salons are taking a vantage I know is a business and the time but they are taking a vanish they are over pricing

I just want to thank this girl so much . I have been trying to put Ext in my hair for over a week now , wasn’t doing them right they were pulling on my flyways etc. anyways after watching this video I’m literally half way through my head . Thank you soo much !
Debbie Lorenzo awwwww I’m so glad 😘
Kirstie Roche I just saw this lol.. honestly your amazing ! You literally saved me soo much money cause I was about to give up and go pay . I get many compliments and they are literally shocked when I tell them it’s extensions and more shocked when I tell them I did myself ( with the help of you) thank you 🙏
Where did you buy the extensions from? And what's the name of the products? You did such a lovely job explaining everything to a t!! Thank you so much ❤😊
Love it! How many tape-ins did you use?
Would love to know where to purchase the shampoo / conditioner / detangler that’s used here ! Sounds good 👍
Anybody know ?
I’ve colored my hair so much and had to cut quite a bit. I miss my long green hair and wanted extensions but with custom color I’m going to spend thousandsssssss - DIY time!
Hope it went well! Long green hair sounds so ethereal xx
Your hair looks so natural and so full xxx
Thanks hun, I am loving it :) So happy with how well they blended even though being such a different colour to my hair, I have now also put a toner through it so it blends in even better xx
You make this look so easy! I gave up and took out my three wefts after a minute of frustration!!
My hair loss is most visible at the front of my scalp when I do a middle parting.. could I use these to hide the hair loss for a middle part?
This video is super helpful I’m a hairstylist and wasn’t even sure on how to go about putting them in on myself since the first time someone else did but I recommend following this if you want to do them yourself
How do you remove them?
Can you do a tutorial on hair styles with your tape in extensions
And can you do two Dutch braids with them? I play netball and that’s how my hair has to be
Maddi I never braid my hair with tapes because they will be seen as I wear them up so high. Don’t currently have them in at the moment but they go back in tomorrow so I’ll look at filming some hair styles x
Kirstie Roche okay thank you
What brand are your tape extensions?
Thank you
Your extensions looked amazing ❤
Ordering some tape for my tape ins so I can do them again 😩 haven’t worn them since last may
Very pretty and nice colour match.
Nikki Pratt this video is old my hair is different now 😊
@@KirstieRoche and I'm sure you look just as gorgeous with your new hair too! I'm a hair extensions junkie, I've been trawling videos regarding different installations, I thought this was really good, even if it is an older video 😊
Nikki Pratt Thanks so much hun, I’d love my natural hair to grow but for now extensions are working for me 😂 just got my new ones cut in today 😊
The ones I have now are from vogue hair group, they are really nice, or Jadore have amazing hair too 😍
I really am glad I watched this you did great and you taught me something new thanks
What size are these extensions you did such a fabulous job without seeing the back!!
Do you think I should try this on my own? Or go to a salon? It looks pretty simple but I don’t want to mess them up!
Up to you, just see how confident you feel, I’ve been doing my own for probably about 10 years or more so had lots of practice. Just don’t place them too close to the scalp or near your hair line
Absolutely perfect tutorial. Thank you!
Please don't forget to tell people about the 48 hour warning. No washing hair or they all fall out
So I’m putting these in my self. I’ve used clip in for years but I’m getting tired of it so now I’m going this
Let me know how you go xx
I cant seem to find the right angle =(
You could also buy a cheap 360 degree mirror, I love mine. Maybe this helps:)
You're sooooo beautiful! And your hair is gorgeous 😍
Hello! Love the video, just wondered where your shelving unit is from in the background?xx
IKEA xx
Hairstylist must hate you :) thank you for such a great tutorial
Haha they probably do 😅
I've been bullied because of my hair at my new school and I'm 11 i want hair extensions because I have super thin and short hair so i have one question are they waterproof
Peyton, they are. You just cant wash 48hrs after installed.
You don't need extensions, you need self-esteem and self-love, honey. Noone is worth your time, energy, nerves. Fuck the haters, love yourself. At the end of the day that's all what matters.
You are beautiful peyton dont let anyone make you feel bad!!!!
Do your extensions ever come loose and y need to reapply them? I have bead extensions currently and I’m thinking of switching to tape ins! I love your video and your extensions are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! 😘😘😘
if you place them up higher, how do you style so the extensions can't be seen? my hair is about the same length as yours so i want to do the same method you used
Did you prefer these over the medusa extensions?
Do you have a link where you get your extensions from please 🙏
Could you please show us different hairstyles with your tape in hair extensions. X
I don’t have tape anymore, I have wefts ❤️❤️
Kirstie Roche may I ask why?x
What is a weft?
So pretty! (You and your hair, I mean) 🥰
Which tape tabs hold the best? I got some from glam seamless and they don’t stick good. I would get it done but looking at ur video doing them on ur own makes me just wanna do it I my own. Which tape tabs work best? And stick VERY good? Pls lmk:(
do you have a video of different hairstyles you can do with extensions?
I always have 60 tapes in because I love thick hair 💖
I wear the zala tape in hair extensions :)
I always get my stylist to apply them for me because I can’t do it lol
Cassidy Turton I haven’t tried Zala but I’ve heard lots of mixed reviews on their hair, Good on you for getting someone else to apply them, better to be safe than sorry hehe xx
Kirstie Roche heheh yeah I’ve heard mixed reviews about the company
Nicole K.C. Sounds like they are a little close to your head, possibly remove any bad ones and re apply them with new tape :)
Thanks x
When u paste, is hair breaking ? Do we have to remove everyday?
Magic !!! Soccer mom to hot model in no time
I went to try and buy the products in this video and the website isn’t working so you have an updated link ?
Can you come to the US and do mine? 😮❤ AMAZING!
With the flat iron are you using heat or no
The best tutorial so far i have seen😍 makes it look so easy
Best tape in video I've seen so far
How do you make a high ponytail with those? Is that possible?
Thanks for sharing! I have natural curly hair which brands of clip in/tape in extensions do u recommend?
Sorry if I missed this, but where did you get your extensions from?
Wait how do they last a year..? Hair grows which would cause the tape in extensions to move down. How do you move them back up?
How many weeks go by before you have to move them back up..?
I have a video on how to remove them. I use the show pony remover. Then pick off the old tape, wash them , apply new tape and re apply them :)
How many extensions do you use? I bought a 40 pack and was wondering if that’d be enough my hairs a couple inches shorter than yours!
Once you put them in do you have to leave them in? Or can you take them out when you want to like clip ins?
you have to leave them in for 6-8 weeks. if you want to take them out, use tape remover.
What tape in brand do you use? Also they don't come out when you shampoo and condition?? Thxs
Wheres the link to the hair extensions I want to buy these so bad now 😫
Love how you did your own hair. Amazing
Christina Morales Thanks lovely 😘
Please, talk a little big slow, is it to fast.
I can’t find the Information about what brand the extensions were 😭 or the shampoo and conditioner
New subscriber! You and your videos are sooooo amazing! Love your vibe ❤️🙏🏼😘
flyn vandenbergh Aww Thanks so much hun ❤️❤️
Can I re use tape in hair extensions?
How do you take them out, does conditioner help?
Do tape extensions damage your hair?
Do you actually flat iron the tape part for just a second?
Do you have the link for the haircare line you use because the link is no longer available
I don’t sorry, but I’ve since found far better hair :) Jadore hair supplies is my favourite now (not their essentials range though !!! )
