Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
The thinner plastic needed for the wire would likely wouldn't bend as well and would crack. He'd have to use actual wire but might could print the body or the prop.
Look up floating buzzbaits they were a thing 20 years ago and had plastic a plastic blade some even glowed in the dark . Made for an awesome night bite in Texas
You can 3D print steel on more advanced industrial machines, but it is more difficult to get access to those machines. You can probably get one printed from Shapeways, but it would need to be decently thick to turn out good.
@@xXSinForLifeXx I wouldn't say that all printed plastic is weak, some materials like PEEK can be incredibly durable. The problem is that the plastic is not rigid enough for a hook for a moderately sized fish, and it isn't hard enough to get a sharp point. I print plastic parts for 250 pound combat robots, so it definitely isn't always weak.
Just a tip with 3D printed lures, you can actually design pockets inside of the print that you can put lead sinkers into to add weight into the belly to keep it upright. You can ask them to use the pause function in their slicer to make the printer stop long enough for you to put the weights inside of it.
*I caught this guy on my 3rd cast. Paired with these 4" trailers. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend slightly modified, I think i trimmed about 3/4 of an inch off of it. Its deadly!*
Square bill. I make these as well. Use a small wire to go through it. Swivel in the back hole, bullet weight in the front. Epoxy that up. Couple beads in the back for spacing. Loop the wire in the back and front. Makes it sit up flat, cast a lot better, and the second hook always helps.
Hey brother I just wanted to say thank you for your service to this country, it means more to me then most people would understand in this day and age. Thank you
I just got a 3D printer a few days ago just got all my parts for making lures and am learning the machine still but literally made a whopper plopper and a square noise swim bate as my first prints I was useing some 22awg spring steel wires not Easy to loop around but works great. I also got some fish eyes and eye hole screws off amazon I’m happy with the outcome.

Love the googan squad so glad you guys teamed up 💙 I think if you added a small ball between the bait and the plopper tall would give you the plobber spin I think the two pieces are just grinding together and stopping the spin I need some of the amazing googan baits here in Canada where I am the bass fishing is tough
After looking through some of the 3d printing pages, you should try printing and fishing some of the whacky lures they have out there. Like a submarine jerk bait! That's That's kind-of your thing.
Try putting a couple beads, like the tiny ones you put above a weight stopper for more flash. Just use a few to help with ploppage. Theirs slack in that area need a little ridgity.
Use TPU to print some jointed swim baits. It's pretty flexible, semi transparent, and just about the toughest material I've ever seen. I've broken side cutters trying to trim GoPro mounts made of it for drones.
I thought about this last year. I have some great ideas for even kayak fishing and making some Lures that fish can't resist. Will see if it works out. Try a small weight on it next time.
Loosen the cast control a tad bit, and turn the brakes down a couple clicks. You'll get the furthest cast when your reel is on the edge of back lashing but doesn't.
That guy has his printers inside of some IKEA Lack tables. Exactly what I want to do with mine too. I like his setup. Awesome video LOJO, glad you took AYO's video idea a step further.
Next 3d print should b a walking style bait . I noticed in the plopper print there were hollow chambers, you could throw a tungsten ball bearing before it's finished printing towards the tail of the bait for better casting and rattle 💪. Love the vids bro
For the plopper you need a hard wire in the middle that doesn’t bend easily and glue the top half of the body and put in a smooth ring between the body and tail so they don’t touch and it can spin more freely.
YES!!! LOJO you need to check out Marling baits!! Amazing lure making channel. Anyway, make a lipless crank bait! Let's get some likes for Marling and the lipless idea!!!!! Nate the best!
Get some TPU filament and print some senkos! It's a softer, rubbery material. I'd be very interested to see how it worked since I've never had the chance to use that filament with my printer, but always wanted to. Also would be super cool if you showed the process of putting the lure together. Great vid!
LOJO if you place a small bead between the body, flopper, and hook it'll spin better. Also play with a little weight on the body for stability.(keep the body from spinning)
I have a 3D printer, and I’ve seen people 3D print whopper ploppers, spooks, cranks, and hard bodied swimbaits. I think you should definitely do one of those.
Hey lojo I’m looking for around a 100 dollar or less setup. (Spinning or baitcaster but I kinda want to try a bait caster). Could you help me out with what setup I should get or if I should get a combo. Thanks so much
@@everythingrandom7142 for $169 if u Save for a lil longer u can get a Johnny Morris signature series Carbonite spinning or casting combo, they both super smooth, I personally have 6 of them for tournament fishing. They are pricey tho but worth every penny
So cool! My husband’s company 3D prints here in San Diego. And the libraries have 3D printers here too you can 3D print things. Maybe 3D print a tiny 1 1/2 inch to 2 inch turtle in that same bright green electric color.
It needs to be more ridged. Glue a solid rod into the main section and bend that into a loop for the line tie and then you put a brass rod through the tail to give it a sort of bearing to rotate better, if you really want to make it plop and function as a true whopper plopper. Me and my little brother come up with a center rotating lure where the center has a blade that looks like half of a spinner bait on each side to catch water and spin that way. It still needs some touch up but we are getting there.
You need a spacer between the 2 pieces or some way to keep them from touching even though water is pulling the tail the force of the water against your lure while you’re reeling in is forcing the front piece into the back piece and causing friction so the tail won’t spin try a bead in between the 2 pieces threaded onto the steel leader. Might have to drill the bead hole out a little first idk just an idea
You need to hook up with Marling baits! Also, Marling baits needs to be a member of the googan squad. Imagine having an actual bait maker as a part of the googan squad
So I think you need a colab with Marlin Baits. Dude is awesome! You guys design and 3D print the plastic parts for a few different jointed swim baits. Ship to him to assemble and paint then he fishs with one and ships the others back to you and you both catch fish!
I would dare to say you could put a small spacer between the body sections to get the tail to move a little better. Something almost like a coffee stirring straw
Do something crazy with it. Maybe a med size lure with some crazy emblems or logos. Like a twister like looking grooves so it spins a lik wile swimming
Needs a bead of some sort between the head and tail, and some weight in the hole in the front. I made one and had the same iffy action but with a few tweaks it will work great. Also, some eyes will make all the difference.

It might not be plopping because of the pinched back end. maybe try putting a tiny bead at the back to keep it from snagging? Just a thought. Makes me want to get a 3-D printer. Great job man.
The front hook goes in the middle. You are suposed to put a swivel in the middle hole then run your leader or steel wire to connect all the pieces. And there is a copper bb that goes in the hole in front of the swivel
With the your white lure you should put some bright coloured beads between the body and tail, it will stop the tail sticking to the body and allow it to move freely.?
I love it but you should’ve put a swivel or give it something in the middle where there both meet and then you would have a nice movement from the back plus a hook in the to instead of the end that would be killer

Buzz bait is his favorite top water lure
You should collab with Marling Baits and make your own lures with him he’s very good at it
Dude that’s an amazing idea and Lojo needs to catch a musky or a pike
Worlds Worst Fishing bait making collab would be epic as well
Kevin Tesmer If he wants to do soft plastics but marling baits is better with hard baits, plus he’s made like two whopper ploppers
He is good
Or worlds worst fishing he does a LOT of soft plastics
It would be cool is you could 3D print like a hook or something and see if you can hook some fish with it
Fishing With Crow unlikely that would work, PLA would bend and break, and most plastics aren’t stiff enough to hold a fish
You can 3D print steel on more advanced industrial machines, but it is more difficult to get access to those machines. You can probably get one printed from Shapeways, but it would need to be decently thick to turn out good.
