I appreciate your videos! I'm in USA but lived in CZ for 6+ years. (Also married for 10 years to my Czech ex-wife) As a former language teacher, I really like your approach.
Thank you so much for including the syntax in the video. It makes a huge difference when it comes to learning how to listen to czech sentences since they sometimes seem unpredictable in flow. Also I found the definitions 'new information' and 'old information' inadequate, but I once reasoned long ago that it might be a sort of 'hidden articles' property of sentences since the czech language doesn't use them. It's good to see you say it similarly. Definately recommend a follow up video such as; would/could be done, to be done; what happens when the verb already has se or si, půjčit se, učit se, koupit si , etc. AND there were some i would say idomatic ones similar to dat se like chci se
Thank you for your comment! Although I haven't covered a topic focused on word order (except for one of my earlier videos), I often include it in my videos "on the side." It's a complex topic that requires a lot of example sentences that would not fit in one single video. You are right, while the concept of "old/known information" and "new information" doesn't always work, the comparison with definite/indefinite articles seems to be more fitting. Thanks for the suggestions for the follow-up topics!
Hmm, a good question... I actually can't think why that is, it's one of those phrases where there is no explanation. Technically, we could also ask _"Jak se to napíše?"_ or _"Jak to mám napsat?"_ but it's not that common. Curiously, _"Jak se to říká?"_ would not work. It would imply we are asking about a particular saying: "How do people say this?" (as in "How does the saying go?")
Hello! I have a video where I talk about how to make past tense and then add more information. ruclips.net/video/8xt-ggWar54/видео.html If the past tense in new to you, just watch the first half of the video or purchase this worksheet: www.buymeacoffee.com/czechbyzuzka/e/188341
Zvláštní je, že takovou větu bychom řekli bez "mi": _Ukradlo se (moje) kolo._ Častější je vyjádřit to bez "moje," když chceme oznámit, že nějaké kolo bylo ukradeno.

Thanks, I appreciate that! I hope the Czech language brings you only good memories.
A wonderful language teacher
Děkuji vám!
It's simple. I see Zuzka's new video, I give it a like. With every next lesson, Czech language seems to get easier. Thank you :)
To ráda slyším! Glad to hear that. Thank you so much!

Excellent as always! Why do we say Jak se to řekne (perf.) česky but Jak se to píše (imp.)?

Ukradlo se mi moje hezké žluté kolo.😥

@@CzechbyZuzka I expected a 'To je mi lito'. But of course, I appreciate nice grammatical corrections as well. ty.
@@seanranieri3816 Yes, my bad! Samozřejmě mně to mrzí, taky mi kdysi někdo ukradl kolo.
