@@dcenthusiast hot take I really liked Batman forever and Batman amd robin, it’s corny, cheesy and mediocre my type of comic, 😂 I really wish we continued the George Clooney Batman
@zombiekillermaster50 Those movies are fun if you don't take em too seriously. The bat credit card and Mr freezes puns always made Batman and Robin memorable for me. Also Batman Forever has its good moments at times.
As a massive Marvel fan that knows almost nothing about DC. I'm more excited for James Gunn's DC way more than the MCU now. Considering the fact that the ladder creatively sold out by casting RDJ as Dr. Doom made me immensely betrayed to say the least. After that it's clear to me that the franchise isn't for me anymore, it's not for die-hard fans that read comics and want more accurate depictions of their favorite heroes and villains, it's for the causal Fast & Furious or Micheal Bay Transformers crowd that are obvious about the source material AND a also a frachise that became a cult of personality around characters that already had their perfect endings and send-offs, and to add insult to injury their writers admitted that they don't know much about the comics AND weren't even allowed to read them even your whole job is adapting those characters! They straight up don't care anymore. Meanwhile James Gunn is a huge comics fan that honors the source material, having people that worked on the comics working on the films, and best of all isn't rushing his movies. So yeah you can see why i'm interested in the DC reboot.
Well the bad news is WBD stocks are falling and they are in billions of dollars in debt. they lost 10 billion dollars in 3 months not a hoax look it up on the source I’m afraid this might effect DC all tho Superman legacy or “Superman 2025” won’t be effected luckily I can’t say the same for the rest.

@@Prominent_intellect I didn't expect my dead comment to get a somewhat new reply I was scrolling through this video due to the Superman hype but now that I found this I have to make a response. You don't understand, Marvel is my everything. My favorite movie of all time is Spider-Man 2, I watched that original Sam Raimi trilogy like all the time as a kid, I brought comic books to school, Spectacular Spider-Man and Earth's Mightiest Heroes are in my top shows of all time, Ultimate Alliance, MVC3, and some of the Spidey games are in my top video games of all time, some of my favorite movies are Marvel related movies, I had a bunch of the toys even including Superhero Squad, I kept up with buying new issues of Ultimate Spider-Man growing up, I literally dressed up as Spidey for every halloween growing up. I became so hardcore I'm even familiar with obscure characters like Texas Twister, Adam-X, and even Atlas characters like Millie the Model. Don't assume that I'm a non-fan when I told you all of this. And I used to be a fan of the MCU, Marvel Studios used to put out some quality films like Iron Man, Civil War, and Homecoming. Some of my favorite comic book movies are MCU films. However the franchise truly went downhill after Endgame with garbage like Thor 4, Ant-Man 3, Secret Invasion, and She-Hulk. That's literally not a trendy thing to trash on the new MCU when they've been releasing these abominations in recent years. Also I think it's laughable that you're complaining about Superman when that trailer seriously blew the trailers for both Cap 4 and Thunderbolts out of the water in terms of quality AND is having more views that those 2 as well. I think it's more laughable that you're complaining about the casting choices for Green Lantern and Booster Gold when the those decisions are completely tame in comparison to that perplexing idea of turning Dr. Doom into a Iron Man variant. Best of all, James Gunn actually reads comics meanwhile Marvel Studios execs don't even allow their writers to read the comics that they are adapting.
7:34 Even though Barry Allen/The Flash’s origin in SHOWCASE #4 (1956) is considered the BEGINNING of DC’s reboot in the mid-1950s, Wonder Woman #59 (1953) and Superboy (1945) are REALLY the beginning of the reboot. Wonder Woman #59 shows a story of Wonder Woman dealing with her “twin” from a parallel earth. This story really introduces fans to the notion of parallel earths and multiple universes existing alongside each other. Superboy stories, beginning in 1945, show the origin of Earth-1 Superman (same earth as Barry Allen).
Bro how did you forget to mention Geoff Johns' Green Lantern run in 2000s It's literally one of the best comics ever and probably the best Hal Jordan arc
Geoff Johns run is awesome! I'm planning to do an entire history of the Green lanterns eventually so I'll go in depth there. The early 2000s to 2010 had so many great dc comics, and I mentioned a few of the most notable that were not just complete runs. I was bound to not mention a few especially runs that are not batman, Superman or justice league related. Thanks for watching tho bro. More Green lantern content coming soon!
@@dcenthusiast yeah but that green Lantern video you're planning would be dope I hope you upload it soon. Plus are you thinking about reviewing Jeremy Adams' run of green Lantern
27:23 There still wear some DC animated movies but weren't connected to the DCAMU or the Tomorrowverse after 2013. Movies like Batman: Assault on Arkham, Justice League: Gods and Monsters, JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time, the Batman Unlimited movies, The Killing Joke movie (let's forget about that one), Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, Batman vs Two-Face, Scooby Doo & Batman: The Brave and The Bold, Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, Batman and Harley Quinn (I'd rather forget about this movie), Batman Ninja, Justice League vs the Fatal Five, Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Superman: Red Son, Batman: Soul of the Dragon, Injustice, Catwoman: Hunted, Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham.
When you mentioned the disappointing movies of the DCEU, you didn't bring up the massive amount of controversy it had since the beginning with Man of Steel which was also the case with Batman V Superman but way worse. I mean when you have a film titled Batman V Superman and it doesn't make a billion dollars you know you've messed up.
I've been down to react to it for awhile but I want the videos to do really well. I still need to maximize my videos and audience a little more before I do reactions on that show. Once the channel is bigger, more possibilities open up.
This was a great effort. I enjoyed it. However there were a few errors. Captain Marvel was a Fawcett Comics character. Many years later DC would get the rights to publish the character. Batgirl is NOT a golden age character. The first Batgirl was Betty Kane. Later, Barbara Gordon would be come the new Batgirl. They were both in the silver age and not the golden age. Neither they or Captain Marvel were in the Justice Society.
Since I know how much you love Batman: The Brave and The Bold (and so do I), have you seen the movie Scooby-Doo & Batman: The Brave and the Bold that takes place in that universe?
I haven't yet. I didn't even know that movie existed, honestly. I gotta check it out, tho. I've always loved scooby doo (especially Mystery Incorporated). Batman and Scooby teamups are always dope!
Love your video, but...I liked Joss Whedon's Justice League. To me, it was a fun, popcorn movie like the first Avengers movie. I also liked WW 84 and Aquman 2. But the first Wonder Woman and Aquman movies were better. And I also enjoyed the Snyder cut of JL.
You are such a pylon, you couldn't even find a picture of the correct Geoff Johns!
