Belfast here lol nice and quiet outside I'm not worried I've never seen anything as bad as the big storm in England in 87 or 88 i think it was now that was scary! lets all remember though this is nothing unusual as its winter time ffs lol
picking up in Galway...... batten down the hatches
Thhanks mark just listen to your up date we have a strong south easterly in cork at the moment powers outrage all ready and the worst of the storm to come stay safe
Yeah mark apparently some places in Ireland already have pressures down into the 970s and 950s the lowest I’ve seen anyone say is 956mb in Ireland so it is likely in the 930s rn so this is strengthened much faster than anticipated
Belfast here, its getting a bit blustery, but not too bad at the moment.
Well that wasn't fun!!! Got up this morning after an almost sleepless night, my neighbours fence had blown down, my greenhouse was in bits which are now in the neighbours garden. Its still very windy but it was the awful eerie groaning sound it made all night that was so unsettling.
Unbelievable wind and rain in winter, what would we do without a crisis, imagine there might be hot days this summer.
Belmullet is consistently know for high wind ... very exposed location ... but it is very high this time.
Pretty rough here in Glasgow 2.30pm Friday. Im 4 storys up in an old tenement. My building is rattling like i have never experienced before. Waste pipes in bathroom constantly gurgling and a couple times made banging noises. I seen 3 very large branches of old tall trees fly off simultaneously. Also a couple of roof Ariels hanging of building up the road.
I'm rather concerned about the structural integrity of my building.
Good report by the way.
Wind definitely picking up here in north Donegal, it's snowing here currently
Galway pickung up now. Bit of rain 0:43
Over the sea here in Ardrossan, Ayrshire, it is quiet at present but Red alert warning received at 6pm this evening so it will be here soon.

Sligo.. building quickly
It's a Irish name easy way to call it Owen. A wonky name no-one can pronounce. Take it easy and winter eant over yet. 😮❤
@seanavery Well said Sean, Eoin it is instead of that difficult to pronounce name.
I think it's the Welsh version of the name, hence the letter y in it.
@outoforbit00 As you may know It's the name of one of the female characters in Lord Of The Rings, a warrior who killed the anti hero Sauron so it's probably a Welsh name alright.
It's sinister the way they're naming these storms though, storms that they are Geoengineering themselves by manipulating the course of the Jet Stream and by Cloud seeding as well as by other ways.
Then the increasingly bossy orders to stay indoors on top of it, prepping people for Climate lockdowns.
An amber warning in Aberdeen but my local weather station shows lower winds than we got in December 7th, which was a yellow warning.
Potentially stronger for you tonight, Colin. Same here. Not much wind.
It's after getting bad here on the West Waterford coast and it's raining heavily.
There's a weird and frightening noise off in the distance now to the North West, I think and it's like a different, hurricane type wind approaching.
It sounds almost animate with it's terrifying voice.
Our ancestors must have thought it was an attacking Deity when they heard storms like this, although of course as this is a Geoengineered storm it's different even to what we had a few decades ago.
We did have one bad storm back in 1975 or around then and it was known for decades afterwards as: "the night of the big wind".
A-o-win, it's from lord of the rings i think.
It was she that slay Sauron
@@richersonkate It was the witch king.
@@Kryzcek78 that's absolutely correct!! Sauron was destroyed at Mt. Doom. Good catch!! Thank you💌
Picking up here in kildare
Stay safe
Really narsty storm.
Stay safe mark and everyone this will be most powerful storm in uk history I think there hitts of 140 wind mph
Sitting here in Newtownabbey. It's getting serious 👍
Might be as bad as the worst wind of 1839 😢
I remember it well
That's what Irish weather reports are saying.
@@ColinLyons-dr4oq 😆 🤣
@@ColinLyons-dr4oq😂 I sort of remember it as well, now that you mention it.
@@ColinLyons-dr4oq🤦♀️🤣🤣🤣
Bit of a blow now welsh mountains.
Roches Point reporting 9 bft alon with Sherkin, is this tracking a bit lower than forcast ?
Windy morning here in North Glasgow, but certainly not a memorable event.
The met office app is saying top wind speeds of 47 mph top gusts for the west midlands is this right because they have gone down since yesterday
In Derry and its already passed that. Its only just started too.

Let's hope it stays that way.😂

1986 Hurricane Charlie
