Winter storage of my Westerly Centaur

Recovery day at SWFYC. Bringing my Westerly Centaur ashore for the end of 2024 along with Sothis and Dawn Mist. A strong spring tide to deal with making it a challenging recovery for all!

I’ve just sat and watched this with my Dad lol. Thought the first guy was going to smash his boat up on the recovery cradle. Hope to be able to get out with you guys when Shamir is back on the water 👍🏻

It was a very fast tide, pushing upriver makes getting into the cradle and experience, well done all crews yesterday

@maxbond510 Hi Max. Yes, he had the worst of a very strong tide. It's not easy threading the needle of the tight cradle. Looking forward to next season already, we'll definitely get you out on the water!

Im surprised the cradle was in straight with that tide. Even with my boat, I often put the trailer in at an angle, so that the boat is more into the tide when recoveing

It’s a thin ramp and a wide trainer, the point you made and the orientation of the ramp is often discussed but we have to work with what we’ve got.
