Recovery day at SWFYC. Bringing my Westerly Centaur ashore for the end of 2024 along with Sothis and Dawn Mist. A strong spring tide to deal with making it a challenging recovery for all!

Three hardy soles set off on another gusty adventure, winds F4 gusting to F5.

Exciting and eventful day at South Woodham Ferrers Yacht Club. Race ultimately cancelled due to strong wind, but still great social sail with Doug and Wes. Forecast F4 gusting to F5, strong F6 arrived!

Didn't narate this one, so I'm just adding music and subtitles. Wes's first trip round Stow Pole. ended with an unintended but well recovered capsize and safety boat recovery.

Another attempt to for a brave group of dinghy sailers to navigate round Bridgemarsh Island. The wind really picked up in the afternoon.

Joining the SWFYC fleet for our lunch at the RCYC and an overnight stay in my Westerly Centaur. Not much wind, so I let the tide do most of the work.

27th July 2024 - Lovely weekend sail on the river Crouch with Mrs B to celebate our 20th wedding anniversary. First time out and not too many dramas, none worth mentioning. One exciting chase of a rogue water skier by the CHA!!

Bit late to publish this one as footage is from April. Great sail to Burnham-On-Crouch and back with Paul. We flew down there on a brisk Easterly and decided to turn at the Royal Corinthian as there would be a lot of tacking home so had to wait for water at Fambridge.

Collecting Shamir my new Westerly Centaur on 30th June 2024. Quick shake down and looking forward to our first proper sail.

Five day, four night solo cruise from the river Crouch in Essex to the river Medway in Kent then up the Thames and home via the Havengore Bridge. Very windy at times, not so much at others but not too much rain at all.

Hello to my 40 subscribers, I think I know most of you personally but if not say hi in the chat and let me know where you’re from, I’d love to say Hi. This is some footage of a great trip from last summer that I never got round to posting. 2023 season just around the corner that will hopefully be packed with new adventures.

Sadly the time has come to haul my vivacity 650 out for the winter. Time to do a few refreshments like cleaning the hull and sails , then wait for March to roll round to get her back in. Still got the dinghy, but have loved sailing Heron this year and can’t wait to get her back in.

Day sail with Big H. Very early dark and foggy start, wind finally arrived for a great afternoons sail.

7/8th October 2022. Great couple of days sailing in sunny October in the company of Jim.
