This was a great video thank you. I appreciate the installation guide and pointing out which one is which. One thing to note about the headlight lumen rating is that it seems that they report the lumens as a set. So 12,000/2 = 6000 per bulb.
Glad this was beneficial to you 👋 I'll most likely be making a high beam and fog light video also as having proper lighting is important 🕯️ Agreed, I think it's mostly for marketing reasons
I have all factory lights on 2013 Honda Accord EXL. Not sure what I need to replace them to get LED’s? Do they originally ship with halogen? I always leave the lights on the auto setting
@@christiansingh6021 Nice you have the same car as me then. All you need are new bulbs. I have videos showing how to change every bulb on this Accord Halogens come from factory 🏭
@@Mickey_Bauer I have not. I'm sure they're good but I didn't think they will be that many lumens. I feel like every brand lies how bright they are now
@@Striker50_Yeah that would be great. I have big ish hands so I really liked the fact that those ones came with a wire to attach/plug in to make the installation easier
I have the Touring headlights so the low beams are LED from the factory but I put a set of Amazon LED's in my high-beams and what a difference driving at night!
The headlights and taillights at night make the car look so sleek, even 10 years later. The housings have a very similar design the only thing different is where the low beam bulb would go there is a ballast. They actually look like an Acura jewel-eye retrofit. Also, I noticed on start-up your car needs a new timing chain tensioner - that’s what is making that rattle.
@@amacd08 Yeah I love the tail lights especially. Agreed, for the tensioner I'd rather just leave it though because there's no guarantee the noise won't come back in the future
I can’t seem to find the 12,000 lumen bulbs I tried using the link and it said something was wrong on Amazon I’m not sure if the link is old or they sold out? Can you please send me the link where you purchased the 12,000 lumen bulbs please thank you. Also great video!
Thanks! I think it's because Amazon stopped doing Amazon smile. I just checked my orders and it looks like they don't exist anymore but I do know Amazon bulbs are notorious for lying about their lumens
The high beams are the ones that are closer to the center of the car. The bulbs I replace in this video are low beams! I also have a video on my channel on how to change my high beams. Let me know if that answered your question!
Thanks man, i'll be buying those. Btw, i've heard something like that accord does not have the properly housing or reflector for LED and we should not use it. Also, can i replace the high beams with similar LEDs too?
The housing is fine because it's projector housing The 2013 Civic for example is a problem because it has reflector housing Yes, I switched out my factory high beams for LED high beams, they work as DRLs in the day running at half power
Great video and thanks for your info I have 2013 honda accord and still have original bulbs, when I went to auto zone the guy told me I could not put those led light because it's will need more juice power from battery and that I will mess up my battery Is it true or what you think about that Have you have any problem with your new lights thanks
Glad I could help! Respectfully, that AutoZone guy doesn't know what he's talking about. LEDs are wayyyy more energy efficient. No problems at all. I ran my previous pair of LEDs for about 4 years with no problems at all. I drive at night for work and they held up fine. Eventually one gave out obviously, but for the average person, these should last you way longer
@Striker 50 thanks for your help So then I will have no problem replacing my original halogen lights with new Led lights I appreciate your help and I will try find a good ones
@@lockpremium9826 Yes of course; Amazon is great since there are a lot of options at good prices because you can try them out and if you don't like them or they're not good, you can return them easily. At first I was confused about why you put a different bulb on each side of your car but I guess you were just trying to figure out if there was much a difference between the two or which one worked better??🤔
The one with the dongle was much easier to connect, but the 12,000lumen was slightlyyyyyy brighter as shown in the video. I highly doubt there's much difference as most of these bulbs are probably made in the same factory but I just wanted to see if I could tell a difference which I really can't unless I try hard. I'll probably be making a fog light replacement video soon in about 2 weeks btw in case you're interested in that
I did the same in my 96 infiniti j 30. But it did nothing but change the color of my headlights. It didnt get brighter and i coupdnt see any any better. But then again i did just get sum cheap headloghts off amazon and they only lasted a year before one burnt out and im sure the other would have soon after if i left it. So i out back my orignal 26 year old bulbs back in. They still work just fine. But i hate constantly getting blinded by everyones new cars with bright ass low beams that seam like there as bright as my high beams.
U get ur money’s worth on auxito M3. According to car light review channel, if u ever wonder how hot or cool they get. These 30 watts per bulb they claim from auxito, when CLR did the observation is 22.6W. So it’s much more efficient design. So that’s 2260/2700 lumens per bulb. And the temperature is up to 121 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s on the cooler side. So the cooler the led bulbs it makes, the better the lifespan will be. So u got ur money’s worth on them. I may not have the proper led light output tools to measure. But if I can guess the best I can, these should be around 600-700 maximum lux. That’s by measuring at 25 feet. But with CRL 20 feet, that’s different. So just be clear, don’t believe the automotive add 6000,12000,20,000. Or even 100,000 lumens. That’s just pure lie. Lasfit is one of the few brands that kept it real l honest numbers. Like 30 watts is 3000 lumens per bulb, or 25 watts is 2500 lumens per bulb. Those are real numbers. I always recommend lasfit, auxito, and sylvania led and zevo led. And I wish atleast auxito keep it real honest. But all in all, these are the best led bulbs u can buy, and we have them in my family’s 2017 Toyota sienna LE, with Auxito - M3 9005, and I had to get lasfit - anti-flicker system to stop the flickering.
