I remember back in the mid-2000s at Lebanon Valley that silver Camaro (can't recall the guy's name) running 11:61 and it was like "Holy shit, how can you that"? I the the blue C-3 Corvette was the biggest "hitter" then (10:00s), not sure. FAST Class has always been impressive.
I do think this is sooo impressive because I’ve run old cars myself. This is a HUGE gain over stock. But today you can buy a model S plaid off the showroom floor and go this fast , stock on street tires with no special work. It’s crazy.
Thats amazing power. Close to 1000 horse from an engine that must optically appear stock. So why do we bother with building race engines with fancy looking parts when you know how to do it with stock appearing parts? Those engines must be monsters inside. Wolf in sheeps clothing.
Because it's a lot easier and cheaper to throw a turbo on an LS and go 9:27 than it is to spend hours and hours and hours massaging and refining stock BBC parts to do the same. That's what makes F.A.S.T. so cool.
Telescoping Column, Sometimes I push it with my hand on the steering wheel in the staging lanes and shoves the wheel forward. Then when I launch it comes back lol.
Wow that's incredible. Congrats. Back in the 80"s I was happy with my stock looking torino with 6' wide radials running low 13's. No msd or computers. I played with vac secondary delay and ign advance weights to get it to roll out hooking up. Just a mellow 351 cleveland. Not even headers. Congrats again. So fast. Neat to see.
Would be so much fun to mess with say a Hellcat/Demon/Corvette/Mustang owner who hasn't heard about the FAST cars... about how "my stock 67 Corvette on stock tires is faster than new cars"... Win the bet and then tell him to keep his money!
so your racing a car that only 20 was made in 1967. the rare af 67 l88 all aluminum 427 big block ONLY 20 WAS MADE that car is worth over 3 million dollars
They are stock reproduction tires that they send to have tread removed. That they have covered over and over on this channel. It's a part of the series for stock appearing series.
The FAST Racing Series stands for Factory Appearing Stock Tire. Cars have to look like they did when they left the showroom floor. This is the fastest car in that class.
9.27..... When FAST started they weren't sure they could go 11's consistently. Congrats. 👍
Thanks John!

@@gteefxr3094 I believe the blue C3 was Wayne Nelson from Minnesota. He pointed the way for the other L88 Corvettes.
Thanks for making drag racing more interesting! Congratulations on breaking the record twice!
Thanks for watching!
Another FAST record . And it’s getting cooler. I wonder what it would run at about 60 degrees F
Those vintage Vette's are freaking factory looking freaks!
Outstanding job to your whole team/family!!! Always great videos.👍
Thanks!
Nice job Jordan! Congrats.
Thanks!
Congratulations again 👏👏
That car is so Badazz! It truly couldn't be any more awesome!!
It could be more awesome if it makes an 8.99 pass!
Getting er done buddy, good job!
congratulations! awesome to watch
Way to go!!! I knew you would do it. And to think it's still got more potential. Amazing.
Shes gonna run good in some good air!
Great job Jordan, great video, congrats!
the squat is wild
Hi, what gear do you run in those cars, I like 4.88'S with my 427's with a 30" tire, thanks Ken.
4.10
yer killin' it! ❗👍 try putting your exhaust system on the black car. maybe something going on with the mufflers on the black car.
They’re the same so I don’t believe that’s the issue. We will get it figured out!
Congratulations on another record.
Congrats on the record, and tge Dragzine article. 👍
Congrats way to go!!!
Thanks
😮 Dad was sleeping at the light!

theres nothin stock on a stock car! days of thunder
How many smiles per hour were you going in that helmet when you looked at the timer? Nicely done : )
I smiled for a couple seconds. Then thought of how to go faster!
Holy smokes! 9.27 !!
congrats!
Awesome cars!
That is FAST !
Very Nice
Can u tell us the real cubic inches of the engine in ur car? Look up impressive in the old webster and ur cars are there 👍👍👍👍
Be 500+ cubes.
Have a delay retard device for take off to not spin tyres on on launch. Be race fuel only.
Remember stock appearing. Not just stock
Congrats, a tenth at a time, can't till you can to 9.10, so close but so far away.
Chipping away at it!
Will you family be at MIR in October?
Nice....did you have to do a teardown after setting the record?
I did not. No one has asked, but I have no issues with going through a teardown.
I LOVE YOU GUYS
Thanks for not slamming the drivers door on the 67 when i wouldnt close...........i would have cringed....lol.............bad ass
I did have to slam it to go down the track... It wouldn't shut pulling into the burnout box. We have it fixed now!

You can do a lot with factory parts. But alot of time goes into making them work!
?.
Would the 67 do high to mid 8’s if you put slicks on…
For sure! My main goal is 8s with the stock tires.
My favorite kind of fast cars your family has,
Looks Factory and kicks A$$..
Badass
Damn man! What's with the column moving back on launch?
Telescoping Column, Sometimes I push it with my hand on the steering wheel in the staging lanes and shoves the wheel forward. Then when I launch it comes back lol.
@@HorsepowerDepot ahh ok!....😆thought the whole column was moving!

What's with the steering column moving at launch?
Telescoping column that accidentally got pushed in, then moved out on launch lol!
Would be so much fun to mess with say a Hellcat/Demon/Corvette/Mustang owner who hasn't heard about the FAST cars... about how "my stock 67 Corvette on stock tires is faster than new cars"... Win the bet and then tell him to keep his money!
How do you afford all of this? Must be filty rich.
Do you have to run the tires for the class?
Yes, the factory reproduction tires have to be on this car at all times. A slick actually won't fit.
@@HorsepowerDepot they dont make a tire now adays that will fit tho?
very nice, but that steering wheel and column would scare the hell out me
It's a telescoping column. It was pushed in on accident before that pass.

They are not real L88 cars.
It is a L88 clone. But it is an original 427/435 car with some pretty rare options.
L88 had alloy heads. So you can put on some very nice up to date alloy heads.
And it appears stock still
Don't call it a l88 if it's not.
What’s a sereis record?
9.29 very impressive , but 1. Those aren’t stock tires and 2. Still won’t beat a Plaid.
