I can,t belive I met this woman on a channel ferry , and told her I,d never heard of her ? made a point of looking her up on here and was really glad I did .What a lovely woman good on you xxxxxxx
What a V-O-I-C-E AND a gifted songwriter. She has GREAT GREAT musicians. Mick Heaney was right when he said of her "sometimes it's better to be rooted than to be groundbreaking" Imelda has a discerning audience .
Great performers. Indeed do not understand the dislikes. Think that this super music machine is one of the best discoveries of the decade. Keep on doing the great work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this girl is amazing ,she has a great voice ,is beautiful ,sexy and the band play awesome,i like grunge music but when i heard her the first time i was so high and got me with the hook of those big bass notes ,and of course that voice and then her beauty.
Imelda You're gorgeous. Saw you on TV couple of weeks ago with Uncle Gaybo. He (our Grand -daddy of TV) loves you and is so proud of you as indeed we all are. Keep on doing what you're doing it's just brilliant. Look after those musicians they are brilliant too
Got to see her! Darrell is AMAZING, as is the rest of the band! She is incredibly mesmerizing, and beguiling onstage. The way she makes eye contact with the whole audience makes you feel like she's singing specifically to you! The only problem is, no gig I go to is ever gonna live up to their performance!
you won't regret it when she appears. I saw at Cambridge Folk Festival earlier in the year, had not heard of her before that but she was a sensational surprise
My Beautiful Imelda May, you are torturing me by taking your music away. Everytime I came back here there is another missing song....I LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUV you.
just saw her in toronto canada, she was just as brilliant, fun beautiful as I knew she would be. she loves to be at a small venue, which it surely was, she likes to talk with the audience and be able to see them, so the filming with those little cameras drives her buggy, and everyone behind the people filming go buggy too, as we can't see over your arms stuck up in the air. she did ask everyone to put down the cameras so everyone could enjoy the show and I was so so glad. loveyaImelda come back
she has something that can't be reproduced, it is great, brilliant, and she is dedicated to her family, husband and loves animals, she is a nice all round person, with a great talent to boot. I hope I get to see her again soon. Toronto ontario was so much fun!!!!
She's fantastic - I will really try to see her in Sydney next month. Right now, her & Ruth Lorenzo are the best 2 girls getting around. Big Al - Shellharbour
she could sing anything, and I would listen with great intent. she gives a great show at any venue, Toronto at the Horseshoe Tavern, she could have been at the O2, except that one guy that kept filming after she asked us all to just put them down and let the rest of us see the show. She asked us nice, he just embarrassed himself, she pointed at him and drew her finger across her throat ( the cut it out sign) and it just pissed her off. but it made her singing even better.
Absolutely Brilliant! I love this lady! I love this song! The rebirth of genuine music. And she's a great performer, artist. I love the way she has a sort of retro sound taking classic genres and evolving them. Sheer genius!
Love this tune. HBO in the states is playing this now round the clock against their cable channel promos. Imelda rules and the band is great. Amazing sound for a TV studio also. Thanks for posting!
Wow she is great! I love Amy Winehouse but I have just about given up on Amy putting out any new albums in the near future and Imelda has that kind of soulful beat that I love..
must be hard for Darrel, not to let his head swell, she wrote this one about him. hope she always feels that way about him, they are so wonderful and talented together, I do wish they would sing together more than they do. it is heartwarming when they do. I know he doesn't want to be taking away her fame, but they sing a nice duet. and it gives me a cuddly feeling when she walks away with him at the end of Psyco.
@SuperGroundControl diddnt now that! thx :p but i think she will be more often in GB then anywhere near NL.... and if i have to i will go to dublin then XD
she has a song called it's your voodoo talking or something like that, it is great too., the guitarist chased her all over england and dublin, he sold his car to get the ferry money to get to the liberties, to catch his little Imelda mary Clabby. I truly hope they stay in love for the long haul. I know she writes about her life, so I am curious, what is Pulling the Rug about, who did she write that one about. love the song, but worry for the person who tugged on that rug. she has spunk. canada
@agger2 if i listened to much more of this I WOULD turn to stone -inner city Dublin has a lot to answer for between this taffeta clad drone and the other ; Stephen Gately
@chippener yes she is irish, shes a dub. and her part in her band is obviously tambourine so she cant really move around a lot. and shes a SINGER not a dancer. her not dancing around makes you able to focus on her amazing voice. but i can see your point :\ no 'fence :L
The 24 thumbs down are from guys who have lost their girls to a big bad handsome man,

She's singing about the guitarist, her then husband. I've seen her play live several times and she's phenomenal!
this girl is amazing ,she has a great voice ,is beautiful ,sexy and the band play awesome,i like grunge music but when i heard her the first time i was so high and got me with the hook of those big bass notes ,and of course that voice and then her beauty.

Ooh I just love it when artists sound exactly like their recording live :)
I bought her CD this past weekend. She is much better live! Amazing!!!
I love how they can get such a big sound from a three piece rhythm section.
She is really,really,really good........
you won't regret it when she appears. I saw at Cambridge Folk Festival earlier in the year, had not heard of her before that but she was a sensational surprise
She has such a fantastic voice, what a tune too!!! Thanks for posting!!

That red dress was the BEST!
Absolutely Brilliant! I love this lady! I love this song! The rebirth of genuine music. And she's a great performer, artist. I love the way she has a sort of retro sound taking classic genres and evolving them. Sheer genius!

Attitude+sexiness+talent+class= Imelda May.
So much talent and so much beauty rolled into such a delicious package. And attitude galore, attitude in a good way.
Shes a jazzy throwback to Pat Benatar who actually went on to record jazz and blues later. Thats a lot of talent in such a small girl.
she has a song called it's your voodoo talking or something like that, it is great too., the guitarist chased her all over england and dublin, he sold his car to get the ferry money to get to the liberties, to catch his little Imelda mary Clabby. @ferenceb you might have problems finding her in GB - she lives in Dublin!
Yeah, I like this
@chippener
yes she is irish, shes a dub.
and her part in her band is obviously tambourine so she cant really move around a lot.
and shes a SINGER not a dancer. her not dancing around makes you able to focus on her amazing voice. but i can see your point :\
