The difference between Imelda's act and a lot of what the labels are peddling these days is that she, the music and the band are the show. They don't need fireworks and a choreographed dance troupe to distract from the fact that the superstar headliner really isn't that great. Love her!
Saw her open for Jeff Beck in 2010. She could have headlined anywhere else. Did a killer set & came out to do a couple of songs with Jeff. Probably one of the best shows I have ever seen. Seen a bunch! Of course JB was stellar, but Imelda is one not to be missed. Love to see her a hot sweaty club!
Live music, great musicians and Imelda beats all the manufactured pretty boy pretty girl bands manufactured like packs of crisps, kids sold short should watch this it's what's called TALENT!
Plenty of other great artists to come from the Emerald Isle my friend, Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy, Fergal Sharkey, Van Morrison etc etc and so you should be proud!
She is absolutely awesome fabulous looks, fabulous band, great Rockabilly style, the best music in a long time. May I wish her a long and fruitful career, we are crying out for professionals like this

IM is a superb vocalist and in this performance, imv., her vocals were overwhelmed by the overly prominent guitar work by her husband in particular. She has the vocal chops to really do this great song justice, if given the space by the band. But in my opinion they crowded and smothered the delicacy of her wonderful voice,.

I can perfectly remember when I initially came across with Imelda's first album. I saw it on a rack and her look and the pink hue in the cover of the album drew my attention. I bought it without knowing anything about her and for some years that was my favourite album of that 2009.
