While I think this story mode was awesome, the final battle gets built up and happens very quickly. It was surprising how quickly it all happened
It did feel very rushed
My favorite part at the end is when kitana single handedly destroys the 4 annoying brats from mkx as an insult to them lmao
Cassie and Takeda are awesome.
Takeda is one of the greatest new characters in a long fuckin time
And then gets tackles off the tower 😂 Takeda is coming back as a DLC character atleast

If you choose Johnny as your fighter, he even makes a funny quip as his alternate universe daughter is skewered in front of him.
The next logical step is to have all the characters be their titan variants in MK2. Their most powerful forms

I think an important point to note is that the multiple timelines may also be hinting that the arcade endings for Mk11 were also canon . I just wish people would appreciate the thought 😢

I agree that this is very good setup if they can successfully pull it off
So much potential. Could’ve had two timelines and they could’ve found out two can’t exist at the same time so they’re forced to pretty much fight and destroy the other timeline unless both timelines are destroyed. They could’ve set that up for the next game. Having multiple was a bad choice
but if you kill your past, future , or alternatively replicated timelines which Liu Kang did. You can't just kill everyone off because you could end up with even more timeliness which more dangerous thrats exist
He was better off with Shao Kahn then onaga , goro like modified creatures which is what they did to milena

I’m a little annoyed that they did everything BUT introduce Onaga. I mean they even went all the way to the Armageddon temple and STILL no Onaga. They had the Dragon army and STILL no Onaga. His crown… Still no Onaga… not even a whisper..
I have a feeling he will be in the next part. whether DLC or otherwise. I can see him easily fitting into Havik's Chaos storyline if its going how I see it. Of Cours we must wait

actually, you can pick Havik, I have seen his version after beating the deadly alliance he tells Liu Kang that chaos blessed him and asks if he could finish them.
Yeah havic is actually at the ending bc of chaos. And chaos is only created out of something new. Aka the "New era"

6:45 you couldn't choose havik anyway, even in freeplay, until you beat the story. He was an unlockable character.
It actually reminds me of the Zelda timeline specifically OOT where depending on the outcome, it either leads into the adult and child timelines or if Link loses to Ganondorf in OOT then it leads into the downfall branch.
Given Titan Shang Tsung’s timeline was still intact when Havik arrived, I suspect the Sorcerer has eluded complete eradication yet again and faked his demise. So Havik may have his wish granted.

Honestly I felt like the ending was very rushed and abrupt, I liked mk11 story better but for the most part this story was good expect the ending imo
The story was good up until you realize that Shang Tsung from MK11 is the big bad of MK1 😂😂 Sh1t makes no sense, if he’s the ruler of HIS OWN timeline why would he even care about Liu Kang’s….absolutely STUPID. How can Kronika be defeated MORE THAN ONCE in MK 11😆And all the sudden now it’s like 5 or 6 timelines….foh. They’re gonna have a hard time cleaning all that up for the next game.

It’s because he’s just that petty of a bitch. Knowing he lost in another timeline would just fester in his mind so he’s just erasing it so his timeline is absolute
Time is weird. Time is relative. That's the whole point. Kronika CONTROLLED time. So how were they able to go back in time and fight her in the first place, if once a titan is gone, then they are GONE? And as far as Shang Tsung... they made him hungry for more power than he already had. Because it's like Liu Kang said, the power of the hourglass made Kronika drunk with power. You don't think it would do the same to a being like Shang Tsung?
He cares because he hated Liu Kang that badly. They've had a rivalry sense MK1. The Titan Shang Tsung would have seen what happened to his MK1/MK9 self and wanted revenge, him seeing that Liu Kang won would have hurt his ego and would mean he would want to win once and for all so he would always be victorious.
This story was such a huge let down. The new story and reimagined Characters started off AMAZINGLY then went to shit when the reveal was shown. This story was marketed as a fresh new start to the franchise but it’s basically MK12. I thought Nether Realms Studio had realized that their story had become a bit of a mess so they were going to start over….only to make a bigger mess. So now all character outcomes are canon? How will this be managed moving forward? It cheapens the reboot and Lui Kang’s timeline. If Shang Tsung won and is a God in his timeline why TF does he know or care about messing with Liu Kang’s timeline? They are not even in the same plane of reality, if anything this should have ended conflict because both guys got the outcome they wanted…shit makes no sense. This multiverse/timeline trope needs to die already🤦♂️

Damn, Havik becomes the next big bad before we ever get Onaga back. Don’t get me wrong I love Havik, glad he gets to shine, but Onaga has been missing and it’s such a waste of a badass character design
Maybe an expansion for onaga
The ending towers are canon so technically onaga is in this timeline and within a mountain where reiko is supposed to release him
I feel like Onaga is an end-all be all sort of villain tho. Best not to play those cards too quickly.

I don’t think it’s the end of the story considering it ended so fast , and the reason why it’s so many was because of how lui kang beat Kronika i don’t think either are true titans especially considering havik & Omaha both show up , and the fact that NRS said they plan on making 2-3 years worth of content

So they actually have an alternate scene with the kombat kids instead of them being killed they start killing back its actually super sick!!

My theory is based on the ending regular and after-credits, and Reiko's Tower Ending which is confirmed to be canon is that we'll get Onaga the Dragon King as the sub-boss and Titan Havik as the final boss for MK 13/2 and Ed Boon is finally going to make good on his word and bring back the Kreate-A-Fighter Mode and either tie the Kreate-A-Fighter into the main story-mode, probably as the one who defeats Onaga and Titan Havik, or have a secondary offline story mode focused on the KAF.
We not getting a KAF 😂😂😂😂😂😂 game will get worst

I hated the ending at first, but after learning that Havik will be the primary antagonist, the chaotic, messy nature of this ending makes more sense. I hope the dlc is like a fever dream.
Just realised the ending where Kronika beheads Liu Kang is canon 💀
There are 3 ending in MK11. 1, Liu Kang win and assigns Raiden to help him restart time. 2, He names Kitana as his helper. 3, Shang Tsung won. Also, I believe in MK11 tower ending, Liu Kang made Kung Lao, Raiden, and Kitana equal to him.
I hope we get to see Onaga or blaze in the dlc or next game plus we have no hanzo

What annoys me about this game a little is Shang not looking like his MK11 counter part as Titian well as the Lui from his universe looking like and having the same powers as ours when he shouldn't. That's my only gripe but otherwise I liked the game although the ending felt rushed.

@@neromauritzen6170 well until that timeline has been confirmed to not exist leave it within the realm of possibility and since this game pretty much said that every characters ladder ending is basically cannon in a multiverse type of way. It could happen.

What I find annoying is that they had a chance to reboot and write ANY STORYLINE THEY WANTED and nether realm chose to go back to the messy timeline multiverse story rather than making anything new.
MK1 DLC will probably just be us playing the evil side and we see everything that was happening while we were on the good side
Our universe's shang tsung and quan chi did not die, same with general shao... they were alternate versions.
