The Icon irons are what you want in a pure player iron. They are long on precision and playability and short on just about everything else.
Don't get me wrong, they have a touch of forgiveness. Surely more than blades...
But, that's not why you buy these irons.
You got to have the game or your golfing life will be full of frustrations. So, bring your good swings.
Low Handicappers: Great irons for you
Mid Handicappers: ONLY if you are a Very strong ball-striker or don't mind frustration
High Handicappers: Seek other clubs
Warning: They and all other Hogan irons are on backorder. Hogan is about 30 days behind due to demand and the Wu flu.

I’m a high teens handicap and play the Ft Worth irons. Personally I love them. Incredible feel for when I hit it right and definitely it tells me when I hit it wrong. I demo’d the Icon. Seems to play similar. Am going to re-demo when they have the right shaft available.
I would encourage all mid/high handicappers who can reasonably strike the ball to try blades. I was scared at first but feel 6 mos to a year being challenged with these will improve my game particularly if I do move back to more forgiving irons.
Wishing you great success with your channel.
Going to have to strongly disagree unless your expressed goal is to force yourself to play better. You are in for much pain.
Blades are the best teaching tool. I learn by playing blade and my ball striking improve significantly faster then my buddies
Talk about tough lessons to learn. It has taken me years to be able to hit them well. I've got the combo set and I'm loving it
Bought a set of icons in June. I have played Mizuno blades for years, mp32s, mp68s, and mp5s. Very impressed, able to keep the ball flight down and easy to work both ways. I will say the irons are longer than other blades I have played. Great price point too
Just can not beat Hogan price on great quality new clubs
Iconn Irons are a complete sub 5 handicap Club, I recently put an order in for the PTX Pro. Can’t wait to get them.
They are no joke
One key design aspect of the Icons is the beveled sole. I found the Icon's sole more playable than traditional blades which tend to dig.
I can dig any sole into the dirt. I come into the ball too steep usually and take decent divots. Though, I am getting a little better
