Problem is paying high taxes. Most things that improve your life come from private companies. The things that you get from the government are the ones where you are forced to buy from the government like roads, rails, etc.
If the government took much less taxes and only handled essentials like courts, military and legislation, we would have much better quality of life as private companies would compete to make a profit.

Exactly what you said only 6% of India pays the taxes. We are with a population of 1.4 billion and only 6% of our population pays the taxes of these people. And these 6% people are from the private sector and job population. One of the reasons why many Indians leave India is because of tax and not good facilities. There are a lot of farmers who have a lot of property and money but they cry about taxes and injustice. Things need to be changed for greater good. Also stop giving votes in the name of freebies! In the end it's your tax! The country won't run just by giving freebies, instead of that focus on development. Thanks a lot for covering this topic. Really appreciated it!

One point related to taxing the farmers is the concept of true income. Cash is untraceable. As soon as we start taxing them they will start hiding it. The first thing we need to remove all currency above Rs. 100, then after a few years 50 and later completely. When all transactions happen online, thanks to UPI, we will have end to end visibility. Farmers do not pay tax. That's why even Amitabh Bacchan registered himself as a farmer. As per section 10(1), agricultural income earned by the taxpayer in India is exempt from tax. Agricultural income is defined under section 2(1A) of the Income-tax Act. Farmers are the most exempted and overrated citizen in India. They do not pay taxes, they do not even have to repay loans. But a salaried person who pays 30% income tax has to repay loan with 25-40% rate.

actually most of the ppl and charted accountants search ways to evade taxes in all possible ways. this is because of higher rates of taxes... if the rate of taxes comes down, the number of tax payers will also increase. everyone wants to be relaxed by paying a small or simple amount of tax and no one wants to evade it. this way number of tax payers will increase a lot from 6%. taxation is right but heavy taxation is wrong.

in my view, in order to increase the tax base from current 6% to higher number is to make sure weencourage people to pay taxes and this activity requires to be incentivized. because for a good activity to continue for a longer time incentivizing it is the key ....Govt only gives appreciation certificates for only high tax payers but not to all tax payers..so this could boost the tax base.
Secondly, India can learn from UPI success ..UPI was a success because its free and made sure entire India was bought into digital inclusion and are bankable.....same way Govt shud reduce taxes to boost the investments, consumptions and make it a habit and then after start to slowly increase taxes again .....

If we try to understand the crux of the matter we can easily say that people aren't going with tax planning but chossesing tax Evasion which is not legal.
So, its better to educate people how the taxes are collected and used even when they don't tend to pay, the ultimate problem is with people exposure to tax knowledge and structure In india .

And also its not a relevant to compare indian tax laws with other countries India need to serve billion people, so there is no way it is going to be tax free. Second some bold moves need to be taken on tax laws not politically. "Economics and Politics dont go hand in hand".
And these high taxes is anticipated, govenment being the largest borrower of this country they also need to return to their debt. And they can't print notes that would worshen the condition even more. Everything is interrelated.
    This is my basic understanding.

Sir, I recently moved to Dubai and got to know that becoming Tax Free country is a masterstroke plan to attract foriegn investments. People (specially Indians) are very happy here because of no tax, luxuries and diversity. But reality is they have big houses in India, here they are forced to live in small flats due to high rental rates. Weather is very unpleasant compare to India. Disaster Management of India is way better than of UAE. Coming back to Taxes, when I analyzed, Rulers are very smart and they take back amount equivalent to Taxes in other formats by expats like emirate ID card fees, huge parking charges, driving license and many other little taxes and fines. It looks small but if you add-up everything, you end up paying more than 30%. We have to change our mentality w.r.t. population as we consider it as burden but it is one of the biggest assest, just need to utilize it

Good Video you can remove all taxes, because now a days everybody are using digital payment, so by removing all taxes, my suggest is to implement BTT Tax only that is bank transaction tax, so the govt is also benefited and also it lowers the burden on tax payers. Thankyou and your videos are very good.
