Drove my moms Range Rover Sport thru a snow storm, stopped all the way in over a foot of snow, was able to leave easily, better than my S4 Quattro, absolute unit of a car.

If you maintain them, then no. Landrovers are very expensive to repair because they are alot more complicated then most other "off-road" vehicles. If you can afford it, then buy it.

These things have already been proven reliable and most capable here in Africa. Typically, appliance fanboys make snotty remarks without ever having driven one. I have factual case studies of ludicrous appliance failures.
So that one is gonna have some serious water logging issues. And Land Rover will probably refuse to repair it under warranty. Someone did something similar with a Jeep and the water got into the electronics. Jeep refused the repair on some technicality.
Because Fiat expressly refuses any reliability responsibility. People have been denied sand in the radiator issues because of a lift. The forums are full of Crystler bullshit after the sale.

You can get them off the lot with Toyo MTs too I think. But pretty impressed like you say.
Problem is with these is that you are always in a loaner car . They are always in the shop and you end up at the bank to pay for the repaires.
If you maintain them, then no.
