You are correct about the gluten free diet. The definition of a diet is what you eat not a way of losing weight. So I don’t know why people would get offended.

Personally I’d class diet as consuming food, like a healthy balance diet.. a vegan diet and so on I don’t know how it’s offensive

I love your videos! I love lidls! My friend worked in home bargains and one time when I was meeting her from work, her manager ran out with a banana box and there was a huge spider. We just watched it crawl away into the distance.

I went to Lidl the other day and I was told the total was £150 and I was really confused. The lady went back and it had accidentally charged us for 83 cucumbers which was £48 worth of cucumbers 🥒 when we only bought one 😂👍🏻

I was at the co op and there plastic bags are actually for recycling food waste bins afterwords and you can ask the people for say 50 bags and that only costs £1.50 and they are better for the environment

I once opened a can of beans and found a spider! But recently shopping at Lidl I’ve found lots of bugs in my onions and a caterpillar last week in my long stem broccoli. Only noticed it when it was all boiled and it was floating on top! Put me right off

I’m four years too late but a diet is literally the foods you eat. When you said gluten free diet, it wasn’t offensive. I’m also gluten free on a restricted diet due to intolerances (not to change weight). 😊

I used to work on a produce section in sainsburys, the procedures that are in place are mad, also what to do if you find one, we had to capture it and FREEZE it!
Oh I have a tip for the pepsi, in lidl if you look at the bottom of the trolley at the front theres a space and also at the back theres a bit that pulls out, I love their trolleys because of it.

The bananas you picked up take abit of a carrier bag and wrap up the top part of the bananas the thick black part keeps them fresher for longer without them going black.
I work at Lidl and for some reason it made me really happy to see you two enjoying the low prices! I'm also jealous of how big your local store is, my store is pretty small and we're always super busy. I have never had a spider experience however I have had an experience with a wasp I'm Tesco. I bought a pack of strawberries, got home and started putting them into a bowl and there were 2 dead wasps on the strawberries 🤢Anyway love you holly! Love lidl...can easily do a 10 day shop for a family of 4 for less than £60.
You did not show the worst part of LIDL which is the food is left on the counter for you to bag up or toss back into a cart while the cashier is pushing through the next customers stuff. If you try to organize your things it is a mess. The cashiers here are always angry.
Bev Simpson this is very common issue in those discount stores- the point is to service as much ppl as possible - customer service is questionable, but Sth for Sth, they are still competitive, but I never stick only to them, as you won’t be able to find all commodities, including tasty bread. Good choice of flowers though.
a 'gluten-free diet' is NOT referring to it as a weight-loss diet!! you were right in calling it that holly, it means the foods eaten are solely gluten-free. there are a range of 'diets'.. such as a halal diet, vegan diet, bland diet... it all refers to the type of foods a person can or cannot eat. some people just love to act like they know what they're talking about!! keep up the videos (and never apologise!), I absolutely love them x
I‘m german and I’m new on your channel. In germany we have also Lidl, but the ones which i know are all smaller! It‘s so interesting to see what they sell in the UK (?). 🙂

Why is it that I can buy products in Lidl for months and months then products disappear from the shelves for weeks on end .
I go to Lidl expecting to get a full weekly shop and I end up with only half of what I went for, it's a waste of time going to Lidl sometimes because I have to go elsewhere afterwards to buy what I need .

You are correct. Diet is what you eat not weight loss the other person was wrong. A weight loss diet is known as a slimming diet the person who commented needs to get their facsltd right right
I'm very fussy as well about how the shopping is packed, my husband just throws everything in together, but I must have everything sorted in a certain way

You were completely fine referring to gluten free as a diet, that person got upset because they themselves don't understand that the term diet isn't just a weight loss term.

I think people get offended by you saying 'gluten free diet', because people use it to lose weight. I'm a coeliac (ce-li-ac), and get very frustrated when people are like 'I'm gluten free to lose a few pounds' because for me it is a disease, a severe intolerance to gluten/weight/rye/oats/barely. I'm not offended, because it is known as a gluten free or free from diet! But thank you for sharing this, I didn't realise that Lidl sold gluten free products I will defiantly be going to have a look! x

if you cook yourself you will spend a lot and eat more healthy , I spend £30 per week on 2 people including fresh berries, fruits, vegs, salads, cheese, meat and ect................ but I do not eat ready meals , soft drinks and a lot of sweats.
