I loved this game! Brings back so many memories. I was a master at Mario Kart. My player of choice was the Princess. She moved faster and didn't get pushed around like Toad or Koopa Troopa. Mario and Luigi skidded too much. Bowser and Donkey Kong moved like dump trunks, slow start but get out of their way.
Very clever use of the Mode 7 effects from F-Zero. This truly shows the Power of the Super Nintendo. I don't think the Mega Drive had anything like it. Most modern gamers say there are way better racing games out there than MK, but I disagree! Mario Kart is a fun and addictive game no matter how old you are! (:
Actually, the Genesis was capable of such thanks to its faster processor. Games like Sonic Spinball (As seen in intro), Gunstar Heroes, and Vectorman shows that it doesn't need Mode 7 for such effects.
This game was my childhood. The game where it made a change to racing. Super Mario Bros changed the whole video game era from the 80's to the 90's and because of Miyamoto (Founder of Nintendo, the super mario company) HE changed video games from, Pong, to Galaga, to pacman, to ms. pacman, s=and to the super mario we know today. Without him, well we wouldn't have the video game graphics we have today.

The game that started it all. I still remember when my mom bought me this game for my 10th birthday. Needless to say, I was rather obsessed with it and made sure to lock my bedroom door so my brother wouldn't try to wreck it like he did with most of my favorite albums.

Nintendo should remake all of their old games with current generation graphics for the new generation. Make an option in the games where old schoolers like us can change the graphics back to the SNES days.
JCSMOOTH345 The AI in Super Mario Kart all have a a special move to counter the human player. This is a programmed event to try and give the computer a chance to catch up to the player, should they get hit by these projectiles. Other computers can be hit but due to the computer being programmed to jump around obstacles to rubber band, usually they miss the projectiles leaving them for the human player to avoid again on the next lap until the sprite render removes it due to excessive projectiles. Mario and Luigi use stars when the human player is in second to try and prevent the player from passing them. Other AI's will throw projectiles once the human player has passed them unless the human player is right behind them, in which they will back spam it. Sorry I took 6 months to find this comment but perhaps this could still come to good use I hope. :)
JCSMOOTH345 they remade some of the levels for the current generation, in the virtual console cups, but I do agree that they should remake them though it would take a lot of time to remake everything.
That sound that plays when Mario or Luigi use their Star power... so annoying... For some reason, I keep picturing them having a creepy grin on their faces as they're using them...

“Look, ma! No hands!”
I adored this game as a kid. Everything is perfect. Great graphics, gameplay, and such a memorable soundtrack.
los juegos viejitos de snes aún siguen siendo buenos... y entretenedores!
Next year, Super Mario Kart is going to be 30 years old. Let that sink in.
This Mario kart will never be beaten,Amazing in so many ways and so much Fun.
Every game since super circuit has been better than this one
I loved this game! Brings back so many memories. I was a master at Mario Kart. My player of choice was the Princess. She moved faster and didn't get pushed around like Toad or Koopa Troopa. Mario and Luigi skidded too much. Bowser and Donkey Kong moved like dump trunks, slow start but get out of their way.
This makes me nostalgic for something I've never experienced
That´s how good that game is! =)))
man you knew you were in trouble when the music sped up. this game was so ahead of its time. by far my favorite racing game. :-)
The musica of the first lap, in my memories forever. I remember watching my older brother playing this
You mixed English and Spanish by the way. XD
Ulymaldo Gaming or portuguese
i don't know

I was just about 3 months of age when this game came out; so Super Mario Kart's ALMOST as old as I am🤯
This game was released on August 27, 1992.
Nick Grove God bless that day
I weirdly have nostalgia for a non commentary walkthrough video on a game from 15 years before I was born.
I USED TO PLAY THIS GAME WHEN I HAD A SNES, MAN THIS GAME BRINGS ME BACK TO MY YOUNGER DAYS
this game has THE BEST SOUNDTRACK IVE EVER HEARD.
that's an exaggeration lol
Waluigi pinball
you didn't hear many soundtracks then
One of my favorite SNES Games. I miss these days.
O primeiro jogo de corrida a gente nunca esquecer
Happy birthday 🎂
Piece out
This game was my childhood.
I can't wait for this to come out, it looks great.
Man you are a bit too late
I love playing Super Mario😎 Kart on SNES a lot. I can’t wait to play it again soon

Joshua Maroney It actually was just Mario Kart for the Wii.
***** He already listed Mario Kart Wii. I am confused too. What the hell is Mario Kart One? Is it some unofficial fan game or something?
Mario Kart One? Did I miss something?
Roland Desjarlais MarioKart One is a mod for this awesome 3d fan game SRB2 in Mario Kart mode. It's better than Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart DS because it has better graphics, better music, and it plays better! That's Mario Kart One!
I have been binge watching long plays of old Mario Kart.
0:05 Aren't the Push Bs in the sky lovely tonight?
Imagine a rom hack changing push b to rush b
In the japanese version instead Press be there was Mario + Peach 💘
This and Super Mario World were the best SNES games
There is a LOT more!
Joe Ritchie haha no A link to the past?
Yoshis island
DKC 1 & 2, Zombies ate my neighbours, and Goof troop are sooo good also.
Super probotector not forget, and super metroid, and my favorite the return and death of superman 😁😁😁😁😁
Pensar que hace mucho tiempo atrás me amanecía jugando este juego. Cuando nos regalaron el súper nintendo tenía 6 años... Uuuuyyy que tiempos
Cuántos tienes ya ?
First time I've seen this in 25 years, and it feels like a week.
A very legendary game.
The game that started it all. I still remember when my mom bought me this game for my 10th birthday. Needless to say, I was rather obsessed with it and made sure to lock my bedroom door so my brother wouldn't try to wreck it like he did with most of my favorite albums.
Was your brother bratty as hell or was he just a destructive baby?
@@brendanstreecko7847 He's 6 years older than me, and he was an abusive bully towards me for most of my childhood.
@@muvdafukupouttahere didn't your parents do anything? i feel sorry for you, i can't imagine living with a person whos hobby is beating me up who lives in my own house....
@@brendanstreecko7847 My mom would definitely scold him for picking on me, and unfortunately, she passed away in '93, and my dad not only encouraged my brother's behavior, he was actually condoning it, especially after my mom's passing.
@@muvdafukupouttahere i see.
Still play this today. Best mario kart in my opinion. Get so frustrated at times but still go back for more. Koopa troopa is my fav.
Cheers for the up load!
Koopa Troopa is also my fav even in Mario Kart 8 i still main him :) 💚
Oho! I have found it once again!
This, if i have to guess, is the video, the ever so holy video, that i used to make my mario kart map (probablly in 2018/2019 or something)
This video is shown as one of the first vid's that i have liked on my chanel, so thats why i guess that
Thanks for the video ;)
My god, does this guy know how to powerslide?! That's one of the most important parts of Mario Kart!
Y
You do not question the use of the power slide Jose.
Yes actually if you go further ahead...
Tarosan
BNSF1995 The power slide is more important in rock and roll
heavybassX
I remember purchasing this from a Best Buy on October 24, 1992. Awesome game. My sister and I played the crap out of it.
Super Mario maker came out last year how about super Mario kart maker
YES GOD PLEASE.
martyn bardwell that would be very hard to create because of checkpoints and tricky stuff
or track editor in the next mario kart game
EXACTLY
That would be awesome!!!
I just realized the Mario kart 8 theme is based on the Super Mario Kart theme! Woah! Mind BLOWN! :D
So glad I purchased the complete-in-the-box Super Famicom copy of "Super Mario Kart" for $27 on eBay! I look forward to kicking my brother's butt in this!
Happy 30th anniversary Mario Kart 🏎🏎
When we were kids, my sister and I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE to play this game. I used to love to throw the bananas.
P
After seeing some of the classic tracks on mario kart 8, it made me miss this game. So I thought I'd watch it. Cannot believe I was 7 when this game came out.
I played this game at a "social" at my school yesterday. Never got to play Rainbow Road.
I need this back in my life!
Nintendo should remake all of their old games with current generation graphics for the new generation. Make an option in the games where old schoolers like us can change the graphics back to the SNES days.
One thing I have always wondered is why does the computer controlled characters have specials and the player does not?
JCSMOOTH345 and for mode 7 games they should also add an option to make it all flat (mode 7) and the pixelated option should be separate.
JCSMOOTH345 they remade some of the levels for the current generation, in the virtual console cups, but I do agree that they should remake them though it would take a lot of time to remake everything.
They sort of remake old tracks, like Mario circuit and ghost valley.
Thank you for taking me back to childhood.
One of my all time favorite games!
Doesn't matter where you play ,SNES or Emulator, this game will allways be awesome.
This one and FIFA 94 were my absolute favourites on SNES ;)
This game was indeed addicting...and rage inducing at times. It's a must buy.
That sound that plays when Mario or Luigi use their Star power... so annoying... For some reason, I keep picturing them having a creepy grin on their faces as they're using them...
Ahh, the first Mario Kart. This classic will never die.
ah this brings back strong memories
thank you. absolutely loved watching this.
One of the best games from my childhood.
I've never seen Mario Kart played like this. This dude is a true pro.
I'll admit i couldnt get past koopa beach in special 150cc but watching this was a bit of a closure....like virtual bart on snes i couldnt beat the pig stage in time....
brings back memories
Are You Kidding Me?!!! I used to play this game back in the day when I was six years old and it was one of my favorite games!!! This Game Brings Me Back So Much Memories!!!
One of the best games ever made
not really
@@DamageMaximo yes really .
For the longest time, I never knew the top L & R buttons would help you navigate the corners better. I can't remember where I learned that trick, but once I did, I was a superstar Mario Kart player!!!
