    I’ll forever scratch my head on how people can build superdetailed layouts and weather the cars, but can’t seem to paint the shiny metal wheels! That’s the first thing that gets painted when I pull a car out of the box or otherwise finish building the kit!

      @@CSX8954 Some are very good in weathering HO models. Some are less and mostly, some shouldn't try doing it. Weathering is not a fantasy coming straight out of our brain. It needs to represent the reality as close as it can be. Many many many modelers are out of the target doing it. You're certainly not ! That's called skills.

    Hey Kerry! Just found your channel and subbed! Great videos, by the way. One question regarding scenery - at the 12:00 minute mark there are some corn fields on both sides of the track - what brand of scenery materials are those? I need some for a small farm scene that I am adding to my layout and those look really good. Thanks - Brian

      You found me! Honestly I don't know what brand is the corn field in. I'll have to ask one of the elder club members

    Why do so many model RRer theses days want to depict vandalism as that is what graffiti is ?

    • @CSX8954
      @CSX8954  Год назад +1

      That is because most model railroader want the details they see in modern railroading. For example, I'm big in CSX between 2005 and 2015. Graffiti is part of that era of railroading, and coming from being an employee of CSX at one time, it's what you normally see. As compared to a good friend of mine who model L&N of the 1970s, graffiti wasn't as common. It's all about the details of the era you model
