Thank you Brotha for teaching us this method. I lost my brother 2 years ago and he was a great guitar player and I always wanted to learn to play like him and now I can. Thank you 🙏🏼 ✝️
this might be the best tutorials i’ve seen so far. i’ve watched so many of your strumming videos and rhythm videos but can’t seem to get it. but this video really started help get those gears turning in my brain. thank you Matt!
I’ve been trying to learn guitar for years and I totally had an aha moment when you talk about the whole stopping strumming to find the next chord!! Definitely gonna try to take that advice on board and practice more!!
Just new here, and country is what am going for, am new 2 guitar alough I did some lessons.. things like this are absolutely perfect..love Luke combs...thank you for this pal🇮🇪🇺🇲
Dude, I found you when I was I think 8yo and got my first guitar. The first song I learned from you was George Strait. It was either Love Without End Amen or Check Yes or No. I can't remember which one was first but man, since then I've been watching your channel on and off and I love everything video of yours I watch! I'm 16 now and it's just crazy thinking of just that amount of time. I get it's only 8 years but that's like, half my life. Thanks for all the lessons!
Matt thanks again I know I’ve said it before but I can’t express enough, just from this video I’ve just learned to sing and play 😮 I was like whoa I can do this?? Thanks to you
One of my favorite songs and one of your best lessons full of strumming and transition tips for beginners. Love your lessons and home spun advice. Thank you man!
Slow the stumming hand down you always do show it but for beginners that’s the hardest part by far the four cords I got . Like old Joe Walsh said it’s all the Right HAND. Rhythm is my problem . Also I have learned a lot from you content
Yes you can play cowboy chords all day but without singing it gets lost. I had a seasoned guitar player tell me this. If I don't sing things will be lost. Even with barr chords it doesn't matter. You're singing and playing are the cream of the crop. Yes guitar by itself is beautiful but campfire it needs singing.
@@adamcawthonit makes total sense to me tbh, I’ve gotten really lost on some jams on the guitar without singing along. It just adds that much more to it.
Hi Matt, can you explain what the exact strumm pattern is like? All online chords and strumming patterns seem to differ from yours. Bought the songbook but no strumm patterns there. Would be nice to hear from you. Greeting from the Netherlands
Do you have any videos showing how to do that percussive slap when you strum ? love that in songs like how John Mayer and Ed Sheeran play sometimes!!! salute 🫡
@@CountrySongTeacher Holy smokes thanks for responding! Appreciate it, and going to be sending some support through your website! Looking forward to the video!
My man, I’ve never heard it explained like this before with the quick easy chord changes and the rhythm while still strumming, amen brother!
Happy to help!
I love this guy, thank you so much brother for teaching me so many songs. God bless you and your family 👪 🙏

Thankyou for Your Simple Explaining each Chords And Finger Placement. You Don't Speed Through your Explaining each video
Thanks for the tip to keep on strumming through the cord changes. That definitely helped

Hi from England 🏴 matt. Great song, great strumming tips again. Any chance of doing small town by john mellencamp ?
I wish you could as your show the chords also teach the strumming pattern slower motion so we can flow into easier.

Can you do a detailed video on the string stop? Thanks! Or if you already have, anybody got the link?
