In this beginners guitar lesson we take a look at how to play the 2 EASIEST guitar chords; E minor and A sus2. We then take a look at a short section of 3 songs that use these chords.
This lesson is aimed at anyone that has struggled to play something that they are happy with so far. It simply offers a first step, plus an opportunity to jam along with Andy and get playing some great songs as soon as possible.

I began my guitar journey around 20 years ago. Pre-RUclips, finding a decent guitar tutor was hard, time-consuming and demoralising. Now, thanks to Andy Guitar amongst others, I can play a number of songs and all the basic open chords. Things change.
You’re dead right Andy, learning guitar is not easy when you first start it, but you’ll always become thankful to yourself when you get over the first challenges like pressing on the strings and memorising the chords etc

Stil learning andy im a yr in from knowing nothing and im 47 now,and i can play a few bits,but i used A suss chord in songs but only coz it sounded right and now i know the name of it,thanks andy for all the help and advice the past yr,being 47 now a yr in i stilljust grab my guitar and strum chords,not from a song just toget better and fluent in changes,great video andy
I also think if more guitars were better setup then more may continue. I've setup all my guitars and it makes the world of difference. That said, you Andy made the world of difference for me. Just the way you taught me the basics worked well for me.

Thank-you. I started learning around six months ago. On and off. Been trying all sorts of things to get going. Had a couple of guitar lessons 1:1 which helped a lot, and then wanted to string something together. Found this tutorial and it is perfect for me at this stage: appreciating speed of play, ease of chord shapes and movement between chords. Pace of the tutorial, repetition of key principles, and singing really helps to understand how speed of the strumming differs. 😊

@@andycrowley actually andy I searched the chords for all these songs on google and bing but I failed to find a song that just contains the chords E minor and A sus 2. Besides, I think that u hv only shown the demo of these songs and in reality I think that these songs contain both these chords and many other chords. Am I right Andy??
