I wanted to share something with you Jingles, The artillery you shot as the Churchill VII "Drecksack04" was his name... actually translates into Scumbag. Have a nice one! :)
I love it when Jingles uses words like "Adventurous", he makes them sound so much more magical and full of wonder. I also love the Churchill 7 turret. It reminds me of a grumpy balding man with big bushy eyebrows and sideburns.
As an occasional "scumbag" player, when I watched this video, I completely understood this poor fellow scumbag's pain. Being over-run, by a CHURCHILL VII. I would've let my team have it in chat for allowing such a thing to happen.
I had a game in my Churchill VII sorta like that last one on here. It was the last 140 or so XP I needed to get the BP and I decided I was gonna go the 8-9 line of Abby and not stop for anyone. I took off and found myself alone on that road but then I never encountered an enemy either. I went on to kill arty and cap out taking no damage what-so-ever. I am normally not one for capping but it was the fastest way to get back to the garage and get my BP and sell the Churchill VII.
Oh, the song name is "Girl from Ipanema " if you didn't know. If you actually did know, do you know what version Jingles uses? I mean, goodness, it's probably on the 10th page of the RUclips results selection. Thanks for the reply in advance, if you'll actually review a year old comment.
SiriusMined Wait, lemme cover a point. I asked you if you knew the song, and if you didn't know, we could hunt it together. Apparently, you knew the song, so please tell me, for the love of the salt mines - what version does Jingles use? I want to use this song for concentration and relaxation. As I said earlier, the search results at RUclips just don't show up, so I'd really appreciate your help. Thank you in advance!
Hello and thank you from Florida! I wanted to say thanks for the great WOT videos! I've found them very helpful and I appreciate your love for the history behind the machines.
I love the Churchill 7 on the Xbox version. Just keep moving forward and pressing the fire button. Got my first Crucial contribution with my friend. I was in my Churchill 7 he was in a Vk 36 01 H. Amazing game.
I had plenty of great games in my VK3601H. Best tier 6 heavy period. I have even stopped half the enemy team full of tier 7s and 8s going for the cap by myself, holding off the corner until the rest of the team circled around and finished off the wounded. Got the most exp and probably most damage and still survived. That's what happens when enemy team is stupid enough to poke a corner 1 by 1 and get slaughtered by the konish.
I'm glad that you're covering the Japanese tanks recently (though I know you've covered them before a few times). I've been grinding my way up the line, and I'm certainly not the best player, so it's great seeing someone else's take on them.
I don 't know why, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole Churchill line. Something just clicks in you, you learn to angle your armour and suddenly it's bounce city.
A tip for playing the church's jingles. Play them as back line rapid fire snipers. Also the church series heavys are an exception to rule of angeling. Best to play them with your front straight at the enemy. Don't know if it's a glitch or what but i have had a better almost near impenetrable bounce rate in those just by following those tactics.
And the church 7 is actually a hell Of a lot easier grind now than it used to be. It was buffed a couple patches ago with more health and faster turret traverse
The armor of the ChurchVII is thick in the front but is also covered in weak spots. in addition, angling the armor is difficult to do due to the tracks extending forward. Angling the tank results in getting your track blown off and often taking damage at the same time. Long story short, my ChurchVII was sold a long time ago and I still regret my time lost with it.
Black Prince is actually an amazing tank. Hopefully you'll get to enjoy it as much as it deserves to when you're grinding through it. The armor is on paper the same as Churchill VII, but in practice a lot stronger because much less noticable weak spots. Angled properly, a BP will bounce many same-tier shots and even tier 8's will often need to switch to gold shells to kill it, while - ... well, you know what the 17 pdr can do.
being Top tier in a Church VII and having the armor work for you is one of the greatest feelings to have in this tank. I love making fun of it because of its speed. I can't wait for the BP.
Am I the only one that has a hard time seeing the Purple enemy indicators as opposed to the default Red? I'm so used to seeing Red as enemy I find my brain not instantly identifying a purple tank as an enemy in the replay as well as finding it actually harder to see against the terrain background. Red really stands out much better to my eye and I wonder what it is that the Purple users like about it. Do you guys just prefer the color or do you see it better or is it a color blind thing?
and Circumflexes and Pointy Haired Jedi? I was thinking it was just a mod that must come with some mod pack that is obviously popular in Europe? There is a colorblind mode but why would it leave in the green as your teams color if it were for red/green color blind? Does Purple / Green solve the problem if your color blind anyway?
I've done that a few times in my Mark VII. My friends and I tend to call it 'Chuchill's Day Out'. Pretty sure I was about as surprised as the enemy Arty was when I first did it.
Everything gets better with the Black Prince, Steel Wall machine! It may have the same max armor as the Mk. VII, but its better shaped and much more uniform in that thickness.
I remember the T29 game on QB's livestream, burst out laughing at the Jadgpanther moment, which was problematic since it was about 4am at my locale at the time :D
I would like to see you review the Churchill VII some time. I started the British heavy line when I began playing last year. The slow British tanks kept me from charging in and getting killed. Gave me time to get better at the game.
Ladies and gentlemen; The quote of the year: "Yes, we were being dicks to our team. Yes, we did screw our team. But... Our team were being pussies, and getting screwed by dicks is what pussies are for." -The mighty Jingles 04/03/2014
I remember that game with the Jagdpanther! Qb going let him kill them.. And everybody holding their fire before executing the poor guy.. And then QB's impersonation of the Jagdpanther driver... Epic! The chat going LOL too..
Couldn't agree more with your opinion about the Churchill VII when i see my self in tier 8 games with it i feel the need to press ESC and back to garage
MAUS! Best scout tank in the Game! I have gotten a patrol duty in that thing by pushing a flank by myself and letting the TDs and mediums behind me murder everyone stupid enough to shoot at an angled MAUS and expose their position. I ended up doing 3K+ damage (most in the team), getting a steel wall and a patrol duty for doing 4K+ spotting damage. Sometimes the MAUS can be the most fun tank to drive, even in the middle of an open field moving at 20Km/h with the only cover being a few destructible buildings to avoid arty fire.
I had the misfortune of going up the Churchill line when I first started playing WoTs. Being a noob & also playing in this under performing Tier 5 & 6 tank is a real good way to smash your stats, as just about any skill less tomato in a KV can wipe the floor with you. You can't flank them & you can't kill them from front on.
I hated the Churchills as well. Took me a while to warm up to the Black Prince too, but eventually I ended up enjoying it. The improved power to weight, strong turret front, fat tracks with sideskirts, and of course the fact that it has a vertical gun arc of more than a few inches.. It all adds up to a much more appealing package than the Churchills.
I actually had a not terrible win rate in my Churchill VII. That machine actually taught me how to sidescrape effectively. It was also one of the machines that led me to assess the minimap more often before I could actually join the battle. The fact that it, and it's child, the Black Prince, can only do 20kph is, however, quite crippling at times.
They deserved it. These games are so annoying when people want to cap for the sake of it not allowing all hp be taken from the enemy when it is easily possible.
I kinda hope you do a "review" of sorts of the Chi-Ri. I'm interested to see what your thoughts on it are. To me, it's an excellent tank when paired up in it's own tier, or at the worst tier 8. I can still do some damage at tier 9, but... yeah.
I actually enjoyed the Churchill (tier V- tier VII) grind. You just have to get into a way of thinking 'where will the enemy LEAST expect to see me' (as you just highlighted in the video...Then go there. A Churchill is a nightmare for mediums. And if you don't like them, the Caernarvon and Conqueror are worth the grind.
That Churchill VII replay I do the exact same thing in my Churchill III. It either ends hilariously bad or hilariously well. An example of the latter being this one time I just drove straight across the field in Malinovka for shits and giggles...and ended up killing every enemy tank that was still in their base.
I think Jingles may like the Black Prince. He'll hate it at first, and then he'll get into a top tier match with it. When in a top tier match, everything just works with the BP. The armour is great, the gun works well and the speed isn't an issue as you don't have to flank anything.
I did that once in a Churchill 3, lit up 9 of the enemy tanks, three of which I killed personally, and six of which my team killed. Unfortunately we STILL somehow managed to lose that game.
M18's Lack of Armour was also A Bonus, High Velocicty Rounds would go clean thru the tank,HE rounds could one shot a M18 if one would simply load it.Almost everyone uses AP rounds be default,The M18 if played correctly, Can Maintain A full Coverage of the Entire team no matter where at in the map.And also Due to its speed,It can get Setup in a Firing Postion Before Most Medium and Heavy Tanks can even get to a decent location. M18 is a WW1 TrenchKnife, Can get you from the front,Withdraw and Nail you in the side before you can even see.
Jingles, love the vids... You touch on a good point - people will shoot at what they think is the weakest thing first. It's called Tactical Priority. Shoot the greatest threat first!
I found the Church 1 to be a passable tank. While its armour was weirdly laid out, it could still work really well when angled, and its 75mm was pretty typical for t5 heavy standards. The MK7... well, as Jingles put it, there is no tank in the game that suffers more at bottom tier. Put into a sidescrape and track pinning the enemy still, this tank can top tier surprisingly well. Problem is that gun just doesn't perform the way a t6 heavy should. The gun of a flanking tank, on one of the slowest tanks around. Most t6, 7 and 8 will just corner poke you, and trade one shot at a time, mitigating your fast reload, and your crap speed makes it hard to brawl.
CHURCHILL VII...I just loved that thing..played 159 battles with a 53% win rate and 165 kills, even got a Patrol-Duty and a Radley-Walters.....Just start your engine and drive full speed to the capzone before the battle is over....Yep that thing is a little slow...
I saw a QB video of a T95 scout. He gets on prokhorovka i do believe and drives straight across the field and detects like 13 tanks and gets 30000 Pot. damage and a scout medal here it is: World of Tanks || T95 MEGA SCOUT
i watch the replay with the churchill VII over and over again, its so much fun to watch ^^ gonna try this too next time in a tier 8 match with my churchill :P
It's very frustrating when you have a whole mess of targets in front of you and you're firing literally as fast as your gun will reload and either you just dead or you run out of shells. Was playing the Stug III once and I had 5 different tanks in front of me and I was just firing as fast as I could and I simply ran out of ammo. Did damage with every shot but it simply wasn't enough.
Finally !!!!, you met the o so bad grind from the churhill 1's guns, expecting a better tier 6, and being totally wrong about it just like me and a friend who stopped playing it after 20 games each
Actually it does, Its a prem tank, got a russian gun, is faster then the normal Matilda and Matilda BP because it got a russian engine, its got better viewrange and better signal range, a different gun mantle and its got special MM, but Tier 6 is also max tier to meet for the normal Matilda ;) Very diffrent eh? ;)
2:30 "we beat those guys off fairly easily"
Dammit Jingles! Phrasing!
LOL letting the Jagpanzer reset the cap... hilarious! Good thing the game was clearly well in hand.
I wanted to share something with you Jingles, The artillery you shot as the Churchill VII "Drecksack04" was his name... actually translates into Scumbag.
Have a nice one! :)
That's so cool, I looked up and your right. :D
When it comes to german words, i'm pretty confident i know the translation ;D
"Ok , so they seem to have took out all of their scouts so I should be safe."- G.W. Tiger P- Famous last words
That elevator music always cracks me up every time, Jingles. :D
Once did the Churchill 7 thing in a TOG platoon of two.
Many lols were had that day.
I did the same thing, it was awesome
Nice gramer...
amnesiagrunt2356 You do happen to realize that this is the internet and nobody cares, right?
Skraith I know still it makes it easier to read I barley had an idea of what you said :P
also, *grammar
"We beat those guys off, fairly easily."
( ͡º ͜ʖ ͡º)
😳
At least you were having fun in your Ch VII...
I love it when Jingles uses words like "Adventurous", he makes them sound so much more magical and full of wonder. I also love the Churchill 7 turret. It reminds me of a grumpy balding man with big bushy eyebrows and sideburns.
Unfair Plane !
Oh god, I loved the part with the Jagdpanther
do you mean Jinglespanther? :P
... No? That wasn't even remotely funny, or clever :s
MatteV2 i am very sorry:(
As an occasional "scumbag" player, when I watched this video, I completely understood this poor fellow scumbag's pain.
Being over-run, by a CHURCHILL VII. I would've let my team have it in chat for allowing such a thing to happen.
The music for the Churchill drive-by was so relaxing. Thank you Jingles!
Mate Matilda 4 is tier 5 xD wouldn't be a jingles video without a fuck up
I had a game in my Churchill VII sorta like that last one on here. It was the last 140 or so XP I needed to get the BP and I decided I was gonna go the 8-9 line of Abby and not stop for anyone. I am normally not one for capping but it was the fastest way to get back to the garage and get my BP and sell the Churchill VII.
Oh god that arty player in the Churchill replay was actually called "Scumbag" in German :D !
Minute 10 made my day. Jingles, you deserve a medal for that speech.
I love the music selection for the Churchill :-)
Oh, the song name is "Girl from Ipanema " if you didn't know. If you actually did know, do you know what version Jingles uses? I mean, goodness, it's probably on the 10th page of the RUclips results selection. Thanks for the reply in advance, if you'll actually review a year old comment.
Nico Villar I know what song it was. I was just lauding him for choosing it.
At 5:10 the matilda was actually the matilda 4 which is tier 5
Blank do YOU even "english" bro? Please learn english, :p
I love the Churchill 7 on the Xbox version. Just keep moving forward and pressing the fire button. Got my first Crucial contribution with my friend. I was in my Churchill 7 he was in a Vk 36 01 H. Amazing game.

best scout Tank ever ! hahaha..... the mighty Churchill VII
I'm glad that you're covering the Japanese tanks recently (though I know you've covered them before a few times). I've been grinding my way up the line, and I'm certainly not the best player, so it's great seeing someone else's take on them.
10:05 nice Blackadder reference there Jingles. I love that show.
I don 't know why, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole Churchill line. Something just clicks in you, you learn to angle your armour and suddenly it's bounce city.
If James May played wot this would be his favourite tank.
that and the t-95
killman369547 perhaps, but he certainly wouldn't use the 155... That'd be a display of excessive and brash Americanism. =P
Man that churchill part were great. I have doen same at KV-5 on start of game. It's seriously funny how often teams leave that road unguarded.
I'm sure I've shared my stories of scouting in the Churchill VII in the comments of your videos before Jingles. They're surprisingly good at it.
2:29 "So, we beat those guys off fairly easily." Interesting choice of words there Mr. Jingles :P
Congratz Jingles!!!!! I wish you the best to 300.000 subs
It's all about the laugh ... that asthmatic cackle. Jingles just wouldn't be Jingles without it.
And the church 7 is actually a hell
Of a lot easier grind now than it used to be. It was buffed a couple patches ago with more health and faster turret traverse

10:10 HAHAHA! Holding your fire on that Jagdpanther was hilarious. :D Some quick thinking by Quickybaby there, earning his nick for sure. ;)
Am I the only one that has a hard time seeing the Purple enemy indicators as opposed to the default Red? Am I right in noticing it is more common on the EU server? I don't see it in NA replays often. Circ, Jedi etc Purple.
***** it's for the green/red colorblind people.
Kn Ops So Jingles is colorblind? what?

I don't know.. let's ask in the next Mingles with Jingles :P
Jingles getting a kill on a arty is always a memorable moment. GG
Maybe they should make capping worth a whole lot more on encounter maps?
Glad you feel that way about the Mark VII - I thought I wasn't getting something right, but I just suck with the Church VII - Its awful.
I would like to see you review the Churchill VII some time. I started the British heavy line when I began playing last year. The slow British tanks kept me from charging in and getting killed. Gave me time to get better at the game.

I was on the stream with you and the Churchill VII game. Cheers Jingles!
I still have yet to understand the tracks ghosting through the tank in the intro.. But otherwise, another good video!
I remember that game with the Jagdpanther! Qb going let him kill them.. And everybody holding their fire before executing the poor guy.. And then QB's impersonation of the Jagdpanther driver... Epic! The chat going LOL too..
I remember watching that Churchill game on circs live stream

chuchill 7 is a hell of a tank for sidescraping in city maps. I have bounced amx 50 100's with this thing
14:48 oh jingles you miss a opportunity for a record scratch. I was expecting that joke to come after the casual song.
I actually had a not terrible win rate in my Churchill VII. That machine actually taught me how to sidescrape effectively. It was also one of the machines that led me to assess the minimap more often before I could actually join the battle. "We beat those guys off very easily." - Jingles, 2014
They deserved it. These games are so annoying when people want to cap for the sake of it not allowing all hp be taken from the enemy when it is easily possible.
Hey jingles that m4 from the first replay on the enemy team was from a bat chat heartbreak when they ran out of shells
I kinda hope you do a "review" of sorts of the Chi-Ri. I'm interested to see what your thoughts on it are. To me, it's an excellent tank when paired up in it's own tier, or at the worst tier 8. I can still do some damage at tier 9, but... yeah.
I have reviewed the Chi-Ri if your interested (not as good as Jingles). I didn't think much of it. Its OK if your prepared to buy a heap of gold ammo.
You just Can't beat W.o.T or Jingles' videos :P
That Churchill VII replay
I do the exact same thing in my Churchill III.
Hey Jingles, just want to say hi and love the vids. chances are youl see this cause of so little views atm.
I was watching the live stream during the Churchill 7 game... so great
I did that once in a Churchill 3, lit up 9 of the enemy tanks, three of which I killed personally, and six of which my team killed.
Unfortunately we STILL somehow managed to lose that game.
I use the Churchill VII to shell areas on Blizt. If I even think I don't know where they are. Just blam, blam, oh I just killed a Tog II.
quickybaby is such a good player. he knows how to push the game. combine that with jingles charm and we have the most enjoyable games :))
Love the black adder reference jingles. Keep it up you sexy beast of a Brit!
Jingles, the Matilda in the first replay was a Matilda IV, tier 5
CHURCHILL VII...I just loved that thing..played 159 battles with a 53% win rate and 165 kills, even got a Patrol-Duty and a Radley-Walters.....Just start your engine and drive full speed to the capzone before the battle is over....Yep that thing is a little slow...
Quiet, Jingles! I loved my Churchills and BP...
eeeeewwwwwww....
You're a f*ckin' bag. Shut up.
Churchills weren't the best but I quite like the Black Prince. I'm now on the Caernarvon... stock :/
During the Churchill VII game on Circon's live stream, the sub hype was real.
Jingles the Matilda iv is a tier 5 Russian premium
The Matilda in this I'd was the Matilda 4 which is a tier 5 premium medium
you never fail too entertain me jingles top narration young man
nice timing... tank in the intro shoots a add into my face!
Fun fact: The scumbag killed by Jingles at 15:00 is named "Drecksack" which is literally german for scumbag.
That's even better than when I went scouting on Sand River with my E75 and we won due to my spotting.
@ 11:07-11:20 what about a stock arl?
This going to be in one of the updates:
World of Tanks: Developer Diaries 2014 - Physics
I remember the Churchill VII match on Circonflexes' live stream.
Miss him playing the game
If we have some worthy replays how does one send it to you Jingles?
You know a TOGII with dmged engine and knocked out driver is better scout then every other heavy tank.
Finally !!!!, you met the o so bad grind from the churhill 1's guns, expecting a better tier 6, and being totally wrong about it just like me and a friend who stopped playing it after 20 games each
It is actually the tier 5 Russian Matilda Jingles :). not that it makes too much of a difference though.
Actually it does, Its a prem tank, got a russian gun, is faster then the normal Matilda and Matilda BP because it got a russian engine, its got better viewrange and better signal range, a different gun mantle and its got special MM, but Tier 6 is also max tier to meet for the normal Matilda ;) Very diffrent eh? ;)
