@@markknowspittsburghlol as a yinzer I can confirm we have terrible weather
We have great weather. Right now it's supposed to be snowing . And it's 50 out with the sun out . So u tell me if we have good wheaten looser
😂😂..it's literally freezing today
@@justrandom24_7 now it is . Lol . Just saying sometimes we'll get 60 degree weather in pittsburgh when it's winter sometimes
Hail to Pitt who else lives in Pittsburgh

H2P!!
I live in Pittsburgh to
I love here also 💯
Me
Penn state better
Reasons to move to Pittsburgh: 1) we have beat out Seattle for the gloomiest weather 2) our roads and bridges are crumbling 3) there is a massive homeless population and businesses are fleeing our downtown 4) our roads are extremely intertwined and limited due to the rivers. If someone gets in an accident, expect it to delay everyone.

@@markknowspittsburghI don't think you read his comment
Everyone out here just sharing their perspective.
Could be worse, you could be living in socal 😂
I was born in India, but I was raised in Pittsburgh and I love it here. The Indian community is massive here, so I never really feel cut off from my culture. 😊

I live in pittsburgh for a year , is a beautiful and unique city , , move to Florida for personal reasons and now I am thinking to go back with my family again , I can't wait to go back to Pittsburgh I miss that place.

Live in Pittsburgh and now 60 Yrs. Old!
I Remember Dahntahn had Kaufmann’s, Gimbel’s, Horne’s, Grant’s, Murphy’s and McCrory’s.
Palmer’s Restaurant and Isaly’s.
Sad the old stores and The Arcade is gone.
Yinz know we ❤️ Stiller’s n Pirate’s n the Pen’s!
Come to Pittsburgh and Ride our Inclines! Yinz can see the CSX by the Mon River and on the Hillside under the Duquesne Incline is Norfolk Southern.
Souside is kinda ok in the daytime but anymore stay away from Carson Street at Night. Too much Crime n’at.
It’s not Neighborhood like it used to be and only St. Adalbert is still open. Rest of the Roman Catholic Churches are closed.
Yes downtown used to be very different!
Fluent in Pittsburgese
😂😂😂Love it!!!
I miss the Kaufman's n'at.
You are old if you can remember grant's pennhills had one. Don't forget Kroger's😁
gas, alcohol and cigarette tax well above national average
True. Consumption tax - if not there then would raise taxes somewhere else.

Shitty football team that was once a great team like the Patriots but only difference is the pats were in a super bowl 5 years ago and not 12 or 13
Traffic is horrible on 28 all the time, taxes here are horrible, energy is 4x what it was in ohio and our gasoline prices are stupid for the extra tax we don't have best roads.
Lesson: Don't live near 28.
I live in the Verona/Penn Hills area, and I work on Neville Island. I have two options to get to work, Rt 28, or the parkway. They both suck, but Rt 28 is better, but not by much
Yep that's why I live in Ohio 9 miles from the PA border.
I can vouch for the hospitals they saved my life I had some cod there best doctors ever ….

Don't be surprised a lot of people here in Pittsburgh two-faced they're nice but they're also covering up the fact they're rotted. From Pittsburgh and I live here so I know.
KENNYWOOD IS FIRE🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥💯
As someone who lives in Pittsburgh a lot I agree with this whole list
Pittsburgh ❤️
Ive lived in Pittsburgh for my whole life, was bron here, awesome city, so cool, my mom and dad are well paid and got a decently big house for decent price, not overpriced like other cities, all the bridges are beautiful and so are the skyscrapers (some ppl don't think they are tall enough but i do). All in all, this city is beautiful and with all the amazing nature and history
💛🖤
Must’ve never had to drive to the squirrel Hill tunnel at seven in the morning😂 no traffic my ass
Every thing but that was legit 🤷🏾♂️😂
Fortunately I do not have to go through at that time. I am not sure how people live on that side of town.
Minimal traffic? Excuse me, that's a lie. Traffic from 7am-6pm constantly between 9pm-3am is drunk drivers. yes, it is clear, but good luck not being blind sided by a drunk driver, lol. 😂.
Have you tried driving in any other city in US?
@markknowspittsburgh yes i drove in a few places i used to live in Oregon i also drove in New York at least there it was respectful all you have to do is take charge and go and not hesitate. Lol. Ohio in Cleveland it was much more clear. Down to Virginia Beach well ig was about the same but still.
as someone who lives in Pittsburgh, i can confidently say this : HAH, GOOD WEATHER?!
You need to go outside more often. Blue skies! All four seasons. The weather in Pittsburgh is a little bit of everything.
Been in Pittsburgh since the summer of 2000 and it's sadly gone downhill the past few years.
The downtown area I think there is some truth to that, but there are many others that are much better than they were 20 years ago.
I actually left Pittsburgh since June 2000 and lived in Raleigh Durham for 24 going on 25 years now and loving it 😍
The job market SUCKS in Pittsburgh!
What industry are you in?
🧢 the traffic here sucks sometimes and only certain parts of Pittsburgh are actually decent. Downtown is going downhill and is dirty as hell compared to what it was ten years ago. That’s why so many of us are leaving
Where are you going to? Other cities (DC, Baltimore, Philly, etc.) I think are far worse with traffic and downtown problems. Yes, Pittsburgh is not going in the right direction with downtown but that is true many other cities as well.
@@markknowspittsburgh I don't think you're right about this. Relative to just last year Pittsburgh has seen a 35% decrease in homicides (YTD) and they intend to replace empty offices with apartments that will fill the streets again. The PDP ambassadors can be regularly seen picking up litter in the area. Downtown is very much so heading in the right direction-- it just hasn't quite arrived yet.
You're right that other cities have it worse though. It really is not that bad. And the only road with traffic worth complaining about is 376, even 28 flows freely now that the Highland Park has been fixed.
They Filmed The Dark Knight Rises there 😁
🦇
Surprising choices on who to pick for the famous Pittsburghers. I didn't even know who two of them were and I grew up in the city my whole life.
Yes. Isn’t great making a personal choice about what/who you like and what you watch (and comment on)?
Rarely if ever saw the sun. I moved.

As a life-long resident of Allegheny County, I can attest that the parts about the hospitals, sports culture and all of the pretentious hipster coffee shops is all true. THAT is ALL.
I am a sucker for a good hipster coffee shop!
7 is the only one I agree with UPMC saved my wife’s life when our local hospital could not
That is great to hear!
Food scene and night life is amazing. And u dnt gotta worry ab any natural disasters like tornados or hurricanes. Maybe a little flooding or a bad snow storm but that's ab it
Exactly!
Pittsburgh!! Gotta love my city!!💙🩵💙All 4 seasons😊 Hazelwood 😚
🖤💛 PGH 💯
All four seasons... Sometimes on the same day!
The weather combines with “fairly minimal traffic” to offer a fun time driving and parking on steep ice covered hills
Thanks for stopping by!
I'm a life long Pittsburgher and love the city, but let's face some facts:
10. Traffic. You cannot be serious.
9. Weather. Sure we have 4 seasons: Muggy and rainy; Cold and rainy; Freezing and snowy and rainy and rainy.
8. Taxes. Other than the decimation of the steel industry, absurdly high taxes are probably the single biggest reason the city has lost more than half its population in 2 generations.
7. World-class hospitals. That may have been true 10 or 15 years ago.
6. Economy & jobs. Really? Then why is everyone moving to the sun belt and the CBD a ghost town?
5. News flash..."Small city vibe" is not a selling point.
4. We're hip. Every city in the country makes this exact same claim.
3. Has anyone ever moved to a city based on who lived there decades ago?
2. Unique neighborhoods. I'll give you that one.
1. Low housing prices are probably the single most accurate indicator of a dying city.

The weather is a little bit of everything.
Had me laughing when he said that there is “minimum traffic” and “good weather.” Their is a shooting every minute of everyday. It’s not a really good place to live, unless you’re in a decent neighborhood. Like Shady Side. Makes he wonder, did he even go to Pittsburgh?
Thanks for sharing
North side, Mt Washington, North shore, Mckeys rocks, Brighton heights, etna, Sharpsburg, lauranceville
❤️ Pittsburgh 💯

Racism is real in Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania. Neighborhoods are segregated, and gentrification is on the rise in inner city urban areas. A lot of young people are moving out of Pittsburgh in which there was a decline in population. The vision for Pittsburgh has great potential, but those in the black/brown community can’t agree fully with this video, but some facts remain on here as far as health care and sports teams.
Me and people from Pittsburgh born and raised here me out.MOST OF THE TIME IT IS FREEZING HERE AND TRAFFIC HERE SUCKS.but other than that it is a wonderful place to live
The weather is very mild (compared to Cleveland, Chicago, Buffalo, etc.) and the traffic is NOTHING compared to other major US cities.
Pittsburgh still sucks bud quit being a homer
It's scary I'm getting these videos! How does RUclips know lol
It is pretty crazy how accurate it can get.
Pittsburgh's job market is extremely limited and people hire based on who they know. Pay is also lower than national averages, usually. I literally left Pittsburgh because of the horrible job market and have done a lot better.
So what do you prefer?
Sorry to hear about your experience. Imagine it goes in cycles and specific to certain industries. On the whole, Pittsburgh fairs quite high on many economic and job studies. It also helps that the cost of living in Pittsburgh is much lower than other cities. Imagine trying to survive in NYC (or any major city) on 50k per year. Impossible. But in Pittsburgh that will go a lot further.
MOVE TO TEXAS THEN, ITS A RIGHT TO WORK STATE THEY PAY SHIT DOWN THERE!
@@markknowspittsburgh $50k is a manager position in Pittsburgh. So if you're less, you're barely making $40k. Pittsburgh is trash. I'm not being a troll just to badmouth the place, I'm just telling people the truth. If someone works in NYC they'll make more than someone in Pittsburgh for the same job because of the high cost of living. That's just basic knowledge.
Traffic is minimal. Just stay away from the Squirrel Hill Tunnel. 🥵
Good advice
i lived in dc for like 7 years and when pittsburghers complain about the traffic i'm like. lmao
Exactly!! The whining from Pittsburghers (that haven’t lived anywhere else) about traffic is hilarious!!

There are plenty of good high paying jobs in Pittsburgh where I grew up 🆙 in the 80s and the nineties
Steeler Country. THE number one reason.

Gas price is high cause PA, but if you pick a place close to Ohio or WV you can avoid those pretty easily.
Yes lots of regulatory fees. But way less than places like New York and California!
Love the burg 🖤💛
Agree 💯
Was there only once. In 2017, minimum wage was $7.25HR, yet gas was $0.50 higher than Colorado even though minimum wage here was over $10. Was stunned by that plus cigarettes were $2 more per pack in Pittsburgh
Don't smoke. It will kill you!

I’ve lived about 20 mins outside of Pittsburgh my whole life , seems to get shitter each year
Why do you think that is?

The weather? Really? I live in Pittsburgh and the weather sucks. Unless you like grey and rain 75% of the days.
The weather is amazing! 🌞
@@markknowspittsburgh well then, I guess you enjoy rain, grey skies, pretty much no sun from December to March, and snow. The weather is the main thing that makes me want to leave Pittsburgh. To each their own.

Well with this current city government and the new county executive it’s more likely to head that direction.

Pittsburgh, would be, a lot better city , 1 not a democrat city , but a republican conservative city. 2 if it was not a sanctuary city, that is bad. 3 and the most important it needs GOD, it needs alot of Christian Baptist church if, Pittsburgh had GOD, then it would be a gear city to live in. 🙏 .
Name one city with a republican mayor.
Love the Burgh!

@ralphjohnson3202 it's right up there with Seattle. It's so hard to plant a garden around here. We get so much rain in the spring

They don’t help the vets or pet or peoples!! But our shady nice city looks nice. It’s for looks.
You should call the Mayor's office to complain. I have heard Mayor Gainey's office is very responsive. Give them a chance.
One good reason to not live in the burg is the outrageous taxes. Property, sales and income taxes are outrageous in pittsburg.
Which city would you prefer that has lower taxes?
@markknowspittsburgh personally we chose Marathon Florida , .035 % sales tax, verses pa. .065% sales tax, no income tax , in florida as a 100% disabled vet in florida we do not pay any property taxes verses the $14,000.00 a year I paid in the burg for property taxes
@markknowspittsburgh don't forget it has never snowed in the keys and when it is 20 below in the burg it's still in the 70's down here
People there are cool. City is safe for the most part.
The traffic? What you on a about? My parents have lived here since there 30s and they don’t go to the CITY alot because of this reason.
Rush hour isn’t bad but there is “some” traffic. But outside of rush hour there is NO traffic!! Your parents are missing out!
Boring city, nothing to do if you don't drink. Maybe that's why it has the most bars of any city close to it's size. Very liberal and huge gay population. Can't wait to leave.
Very true about the gay part, and this one time I was in the park and this whole group of furries were dressed up and it was there was like 20 of them and it scared me I'm being legit
You have a tricycle. That's pretty gay
