Pros and Cons of Upper St Clair School District | Best School Districts in Pittsburgh Series
LOVE the notion of Federal Galley for breakie! Only been for dinner. Pamela's... Millvale is an old school soda fountain. V different from The Strip, if that's what you're referring to. Cafe Raymond: YES! Found them looking for Niçoise. SO many other things.
Sorry, sewickley is not a good area to live. There is a group of thieving junkies with inherited houses that use the high taxes to give to their friends and relatives in the form of front businesses.
Are you okay? Sounds a bit exaggerated and/or conspiratorial.
@@markknowspittsburghYes, that’s exactly the correct term in criminal law. An agreement between two or more people to commit a crime.
It’s so pretty
Our Secret little Cafe is my favorite! Best Benedicts! I always get the Oscar Benedict with corned hash! 🔥
I moved out in 2014. That’s my dad’s house at :22 seconds in to the right of the silver grand am vehicle. Can’t wait to visit again in a month!
Nice! I love visiting Sharpsburg as well.
I've lived in PA now for 60 years and have lived in western, central and eastern PA. South Central and Southeast PA are by far the best PA areas to live in. The economy is strongest from the Harrisburg/Lancaster region east to the Philly metro and the Lehigh Valley. Philly has some of the best suburban communities in the country. Western PA has a lot more gloom from Nov - March. Philly has 45 more sunny days than Pittsburgh on average with almost all of them being in the fall and winter. Probably the biggest benefit to Eastern PA is being close to the coast and the bigger cities like New York and DC which can be reached via trains. A train from Pittsburgh to DC takes 8 hours one way. What nearby cities are there to visit in Pittsburgh? Cleveland? lol. The biggest benefit to western PA and Pittsburgh is housing is cheaper.
The weather in Pittsburgh is amazing. I drive a convertible and have the roof down almost every day from April to October. Maybe I should keep track of this! That would be a great stat. And at the end of they day affordability is really the number one priority. What good is a great suburb if you can't afford to live there and you have to sit on the Schuykill for an hour every day, LOL!
The belt system was created for civil defense during the Cold War. The walls on Blackburn were built by WPA .
Good to know! Thanks for sharing!
Pointe Breeze
It is in the East End, but no Point Breeze.
I’ve lived here in Pittsburgh for 2 years now, I’m from phx Az. I will say that it’s not really cheaper to live here, and the pay in retail and grocery, is extremely low. Minimum wage is one of the lowest of all 50 states. And most stores do not give much in the way of raises, at all. Groceries are a bit higher than Az, (greedflation for sure) And housing is not really any cheaper, but Pittsburgh is very old, Phx is modern and newer, for the most part, so it’s hard to do comparisons. I left because I’ve wanted to live somewhere cooler, and I love the trees, and the seasons. Az was getting crowded. People love the intense heat 6 months of the year. I’m done with it, happy to be in Pittsburgh! Oh, the deer freak me out, beautiful, but I’m scared to death of hitting them!
Glad you are enjoying your time in Pittsburgh. The fall colors are going to be amazing!
East carnegie is the first Pittsburgh proper neighborhood coming from the west
True!
Forgot to mention dicks sporting goods headquarters you passed when mentioning the businesses out there
Very insightful!! Ty, from a soon to be Pitts. resident!!
Nice, glad you found it useful! Welcome to the Burgh!
Fioris... I drive to the other side of the rivers for that pizza ... Northside born and raised
Pizza Lupo is the absolute best. I would drive to another state for the pie!
Can i found job (work)
Yes!!
Love the four seasons.
Absolutely! That is a great reason to love Pittsburgh!
Go outside pitt and get robbed lol
That doesn't happen here any more than it might in any major American city.
It's a schools job to make sure the students can read and do basic math not the other stuff you mentioned. Parents should absolutely avoid poorly graded schools in the best interests of their kids but not to mention who wants to buy a home in a neighborhood as bad as their schools. This guy basically wasn't people to make a horrible decision to help fund black communities schools and social services because they can't take care of themselves
I think you proved my point given your grammar and spelling skills.
Nice clean tree lined streets!
Beautiful!
Great video!i was waiting on a video for Sewickley 👍
Glad you liked it!
Tell me I’m not the only one the roads are so hard to navigate 😭🙏
It takes some time to get comfortable.
I enjoy driving videos, especially around Pittsburgh!
Nice, glad you like them!
Another guy in a tea shirt giving advice. These jokers make me want to live in a free country. This tax stuff sucks b
Taxes provide services - schools, roads, police, fire, etc. You don't want any of those things?
I live here so I will tell you this next time you go to Oakmont get the pepperoni bread from the bakery
Good advice!
Mac miller brought me here ❤
Legend!
Pittsburgh is Gem of a city, my wife opened a small Korean restaurant going on 10 years, diversity and culture, 3 of best Universities and a great Hospital UPMC, this and a amazing Super Bowl 6 Pittsburgh Steelers all made her small restaurant thrive, many other great things. Great city.
The American Dream! Glad you love this amazing city!
The doctors and hospitals are completely overrated too
Have you had a bad experience?
The weather is constantly changing and is never accurately forecasted.
The weather in Pittsburgh is typically very mild though it can change quickly. The Great Lakes have a big impact on our weather patterns.
Please continue to post videos. These are extremely helpful. Now, while I do love some editing, I am extremely grateful for this post.
Glad you find them useful! There are about 20 driving videos in all, hope you have taken the time to check them all out.
@@markknowspittsburghsure have.
Naration was good. Video was not. Too herky jerky and the lighting was awful!
Thanks for the feedback. It’s a good thing I make my living as a real estate agent and not producing videos. Though - I will say most people looking for an agent don’t really care about video production skills. In fact, I think it is actually a positive. (Also that was my very first driving tour video. Things have improved slightly.) LOL
Reason to be a yinzer just do it😂
Black and Gold 🖤💛
Awful weather 7 months a year in da burgh, at least...
I love Pittsburgh weather. It is very mild. Sure we have some days with high humidity, and days with lots of clouds (gray and dreary at times in winter), and we have days with lots of rain. But temps in the winters average in the 30s and in the summer average in the low 80s. Within 500 miles of Pittsburgh, name one place that has BETTER weather.
@markknowspittsburgh Literally every other city. Pittsburgh is the 2nd cloudiest city in the entire United States with 203 cloudy days, Seattle is first with 226.
Hi Mark. Thank you for another great video. I find them very informative. Watching here in Australia, planning a visit to Pittsburgh within the next 6 months. I will be a regular viewer. Have a great day!😁
@richardfairweather I would love to help. Send me an email and I can start sending you customized information for your exact needs. mark.mcclinchie@compass.com
Hi Mark. Thanks for posting these videos. So glad to have found your channel. Could you please do a drive around Moon Township/Coraopolis? I’m an Aussie potentially moving to Pittsburgh. Thank you kindly.😊

Homes sold over asking prices to corporate buyers screwing over Americans , just like the story across 🇺🇸
How many corporate buyers have bought homes in Brookline (or any other Pgh community) in the past 6 months? Do you have any data, evidence, proof?
Nevillewood! My husband likes to take me there for a drive! Amazing houses! 🎉
Great neighborhood!
I like Pittsburgh. I dated a woman from Aliquippa who took me to dinner in Mt. Washington in March 2021.
Pittsburgh is the best!
I live In Pittsburgh and it’s chill
Right!

Is Pittsburgh racist?
Here is an explanation I provided to that question in a previous video - ruclips.net/video/IThc0mbVuQo/видео.html
Amazingly built on what was the campus of Mayview State Hospital.
Yes, kind of freaks me out too.
@markknowspittsburgh I'm not freaked out by it. I worked in mental health for 30 years, and my dad was a psychiatrist. The fact is the facility did a lot of good for those who struggled with mental illness. As time moved forward, we realized these types of massive Psych hospitals were not needed. Many left those types of hospitals and moved into the community with little issue when given the proper support. My point actually was the fact that a forest or farmland wasn't destroyed for this residential community. That is the great thing about all of this.
Racism is real in Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania. Neighborhoods are segregated, and gentrification is on the rise in inner city urban areas. A lot of young people are moving out of Pittsburgh in which there was a decline in population. The vision for Pittsburgh has great potential, but those in the black/brown community can’t agree fully with this video, but some facts remain on here as far as health care and sports teams.
I appreciate you adding a valuable perspective in what is otherwise a puff piece that promotes Pittsburgh's best side. I did a video a while back which I do think presents a different side of this city - ruclips.net/video/IThc0mbVuQo/видео.html.
It's a gorgeous community.
👍
i am going to pittsburgh find some places to get a philly cheesesteak sub. so far I cant find a single place there on line
Yes, nothing compares to Philly. I love Angelo's in South Philly.
mac miller >>>>
👍
I'm a life long Pittsburgher and love the city, but let's face some facts: 10. Traffic. You cannot be serious. 9. Weather. Sure we have 4 seasons: Muggy and rainy; Cold and rainy; Freezing and snowy and rainy and rainy. 8. Taxes. Other than the decimation of the steel industry, absurdly high taxes are probably the single biggest reason the city has lost more than half its population in 2 generations. 7. World-class hospitals. That may have been true 10 or 15 years ago. 6. Economy & jobs. Really? Then why is everyone moving to the sun belt and the CBD a ghost town? 5. News flash..."Small city vibe" is not a selling point. 4. We're hip. Every city in the country makes this exact same claim. 3. Has anyone ever moved to a city based on who lived there decades ago? 2. Unique neighborhoods. I'll give you that one. 1. Low housing prices are probably the single most accurate indicator of a dying city.
Thank you for sharing your perspective.
Go Steelers 🎉
👍
No thank you Pittsburgh stinks
❤️ PGH
Hi can you give me information about la Roche University pittsburg near rented house.
Sure send me an email and would be glad to help mark.mcclinchie@compass.com
Pittsburgh is officially part of the Great Lakes Megaregion per U.S. Government reporting and it is NOT part of the Northeast, again per the U.S. Government. So regardless of what people in Pittsburgh feel, the U.S. Government considers Pittsburgh part of the Mid-West and Great Lakes region.
Thanks for the official answer. Please contact me to claim your prize!!
