    This video is your ultimate guide to understanding the benefits of a move to Pittsburgh. I address two major concerns prevalent in Florida: safety and climate. From discussing the inclusive and progressive environment in Pittsburgh compared to the hostile atmosphere in Florida, to highlighting the city's low risk for climate-related disasters, this video covers it all.

    I am a real estate agent in #Pittsburgh. Fun fact: In the Spring of 2022 I appeared on HGTV's House Hunters episode, Price or Project in Pittsburgh, which featured my out of town clients that found me on RUclips. You can stream S210 E13 to check it out!
    Helping individuals and families that are not familiar with the Pittsburgh region navigate a long distance home buying process requires a unique set of skills that I have honed over the past few years.
    While much of my business is in Allegheny County (the largest and most central county in the Pittsburgh region), I also have done extensive work in the four surrounding counties of Beaver, Butler, Washington, and Westmoreland. As a former public school administrator in the area, I can offer detailed information about school districts throughout the region. I work with all types of budgets (low to high) and all types of buyers (first-time, FHA, cash, retired, investors, up-sizers, veterans, etc).
    Out of town home buyers are often nervous and stressed about the entire process not knowing much about the local housing market, the communities, or even the connections for service providers such as lenders, home inspectors, insurance agents, and contractors. I take the lead on every step of the transaction from start to finish to provide my clients with clear and accurate information, put them in touch with the right people, and ultimately guide them to make the transition to Pittsburgh as seamless as possible.
    I grew up in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh (graduated from North Allegheny), and now live in Mt Lebanon with my amazing wife and four children (three in college and one still in Mt. Lebanon schools). I love travelling (especially to Disney), great food/drink (coffee snob), and love playing/watching sports (PNC Park is the BEST ballpark in America).

    Wow! I can’t believe I stumbled upon this video! This is exactly what I’ve started thinking. I’m a Florida resident whose just about had enough. I’ve got relatives in Hopewell Township, and I’ve been thinking, hmmm,… maybe Pittsburgh?

      Hey Ray! So glad you found this video. Feel free to message me directly if you want to gather some additional information. We can discuss some potential communities that might be a good fit and run some numbers for you. Question: What is Florida going to look like in 5 years?

    Thank you for speaking out about human rights issues and climate issues, Mark! My husband and I have been kicking the tires on Pittsburgh for nearly a decade and will be moving to PGH from NH in spring 2024 and have visited a dozen-plus times. Now if I can only convince my brother (and his wife, a native Floridian) to move from the Ft. Lauderdale area to PGH too.

      I really appreciate your comment and your support. It's pretty wild that I even have a small platform that people watch/consume and I take that very seriously. The least I can do is be honest and speak truth. Looking the other way and pretending these issues don't exist - I think is a really poor way to run a business. Be sure to check out my video on the history of housing in our country - ruclips.net/video/s5PxVgRdRnY/видео.html.

      I enjoy visiting but living doesn’t seem to be a good fit. Glad you are happy on your decision to leave.

    Excellent video, I'm now paying 6k annually on home insurance and $600 a month on 2 old toyotas in SWFL. Have to put a new roof on every ten years or my hurricane deductible doubles. Been living here 10 yrs, ready to leave!

      @@markknowspittsburgh how is the humidity up there compared to Florida?

    • @markknowspittsburgh
      @markknowspittsburgh  10 месяцев назад

      @@Chris-wm3xq I go to Disney alot and I used to live in Houston, TX. Both of these places the humidity is unbearable. Like walking in an oven. Pittsburgh will have an occasional 90+ day with high humidity, but very rare. High humidity with temps in 70s and 80s is pretty common in July/August but very manageable.
