The thing I love about Garmin’s is that they are not full blown wrist mounted phones or computers they are more of watches with smart features like gps so i would consider a garmin a watch or smart watch or a watch with gps added so a gps watch and I consider Apple watches wrist mounted phones or computers
I wore this exact model for 59 days and... it was, and still is, a wonderful smartwatch. I sold my Tactix Delta Solar to a college friend and then purchased the Garmin Fēnix 6X Pro Solar. The only things I didn't like about the Tactix Delta Solar were the following:
1. the screen was too dark indoors
2. the buttons were a little hard to press during the first month and then they broke-in nicely
3. the solar panels on the Garmin Tactix, Enduro, and Fēnix 6X Pro Solar, yeah, the battery really does charge slowly

I bought it a week ago and dumped my Apple Watch Ultra 2 in a matter of days. It's a great watch from a value proposition and when you go on a hike there is absolute confidence in your watch. No fear of staring into an Apple logo or Screen of death. Great Value.
I LOVE my regular Tactix Delta and have been wearing since May 2020! I recently purchased the nylon tactical band as shown in this video. I also get rashes from the silicone band and nothing is more comfortable than fabric on the wrist. The Apple watch has a really nice screen, but can't compare to the robust look of this Garmin. Also, having to plug the damn thing in every single day gets old VERY fast. The battery life with Garmin watches is amazing.

Nightvision mode makes the dial/screen almost impossible to see with the human eye, but is clear as day with NVG on. If you have the light on, however, it doesn't do anything.

Does it make sence to buy Tactix in July 2021, or better to wait for Fenix 7?? How do you think? I am using F5 and due to pure battery lifetime considering a change.

Hi on the main time when using digital where are the 2 dots separating the hours from minutes as shown on all the photos of this watch for example 10: 37 your fave just shows 1037 no : ??

Does anyone have an idea when there will be a new Delta?
My guess second half of 2022, will probably be called tactix Echo. But to my knowledge no one other than Garmin knows. Usually it comes out several month after the latest Fenix series, still waiting for the fenix 7 series to be announced (probably very soon).
Now that the Fenix 7 is out how do you feel about this one? What would be your choice?
Well if I had to choose, Fenix 7X would be my choice. Though prefer the design of tactix delta, but the less than stellar GPS compared to the 7-series would be the biggest deal breaker. And the price, 7X Sapphire Solar cost exactly the same as Tactix Delta Solar in my country, today my money would go for the 7-series.

@@whcvip sold my Garmin maybe try tissot but now have Xioami Bamd 6 3-4 weeks don’t use sleep or gps I let the phone do that. So I only charge each month and only paid $50…
Because it's GPS watch you cannot use in the forces in Canada or the US

Dozens of guys in my unit and many other units have these watches. They are GPS, GLONASS and Galileo and are receiver only so they passively Rev I eve satellite signal. No transmitting so yes, we can have them. In fact many units purchase Garmin watches for soldiers.
