What's special about Su-metal's voice is that it stands out like a pure bell against incredible heavy metal instrumentation. She does this by singing very straight and clear. Few if any Jpop singers could do this; their voices tend towards high and light (more kawaii).

Suzuka’s singing voice is wayyyyyyyy above your average J-pop or K-Pop singer. Also to say Japanese language is weird with metal is quite ethnocentric and shows limited exposure to Japanese metal.
Goseahawksandgoldenstate303 Yea you might be correct about that. I love the Japanese language and how it sounds with metal and music. It’s mostly because I watch anime that I’m used to hearing Japanese. My sister on the other hand is as you say not used to hearing Japanese in music
Thank you for reacting to BABYMETAL. You had a couple of things wrong: 1) The name doesn't refer to them 'being babies'. First of all, the written form "bebimetaru" differs by only one accent (symbol) from "hebimetaru", which translates into "heavy metal". Secondly, it refers to 'a new (born) kind of metal'. 2) The girls are older now. You were right about them starting at 11/12 - they started in 2011. This also means that they're 20, the singer, and 19 now. 3) This song wasn't written by Dragonforce. Sam Totman and Herman Li wrote the guitar arrangements. 4) Suzuka's voice isn't 'tuned' during performances. The audio on DVD/BRD releases is 'cleaned', as with any other band, but she sings completely live. She's just so consistent that it makes you doubt, even when hearing them live for the first time. But, let me tell you, speaking from experience: she's just THAT good. ;-) If you want a performance which shows both the band's abilities and Suzuka's singing ability, you should check out Rondo of Nightmare from Budokan Black Night. ruclips.net/video/QxYAcIyk2Co/видео.html It's a Su-metal solo song - where Moametal and Yuimetal aren't on stage with her - and it has a 3 1/2 minute solo intro by the band.
No problem man! 1. Wow, i had no idea. That is very interesting. 2. Oh right, thought it was something like that! 3. Okay thats cool, i loved the all the guitar parts in this song. 4. Well then thats quite impressive to be honest.. Especially considering her age. Thanks so much for the info and that you took the time to write it. I will definitely put it on the list!:)
I also have to strongly disagree about the singing being no better than other J-pop singers (not that I've listened to much J-pop, but what little I've heard is just not in the same league). Babymetal pretty much came to exist only because of Su's singing voice. The producer, Koba, heard her singing as part of a trio (Karen Girl's) when she was 9 or 10 and had the idea even then that her voice was so strong and clear that it would be wasted on J-pop and that she could do so much better (he was a metalhead) so, when given the chance, he essentially built Babymetal around her. When he introduced the Kami Band to play live shows with the girls they were told not to hold back in any way (I believe Boh, the bassist, even said that when he played with Babymetal it was the first time he'd been told to turn it up even more). Su's voice in live videos etc gets a lot less post-production than it might appear, there are fancam videos of some performances that confirm there is actually very little or even no difference between the live and the final official versions. Studio versions are not the same and, in my opinion, are over produced with the instruments toned down too much and the voices too processed and compressed. She has been singing and performing professionally since she was about 5 or 6 years old - that is 15 years of experience that she brings to the stage.
Grington300 300 Thank you for all the info! I appreciate you taking the time writing this much about the band! It’s really cool that the producer found her at such a young age and liked her voice! You might also be correct that her singing voice is better than most other j pop singers. This video didn’t show her abilities very well in my opinion though and that’s why I’m looking forward to checking out more!😊
@@React4you Su's voice is indeed powerful. I saw them a couple of years ago and the opening band's lead singer was drowned out by the band and it wasn't good to listen to, then BabyMetal came out and played even louder, yet Su's voice wasn't drowned out and was loud and clear. Either way still a good reaction
Critcizing Su-Metal's singing is always gonna be fight'n words to me, haha, but at least you're being honest about it. It's pretty common for people to say the vocals don't work with the music, but if they give it a chance they realize that it actually does work very well with the music. Your ears are just biased against it now.
React 4 You a solo song would showcase more of suzuka's vocal ability. Also Japanese words extremely well with rock/metal and there are a bunch of great Japanese bands besides Babymetal
*Nakamoto Suzuka as Su-metal (20/12/1997), Hiroshima, Japan *Mizuno Yui as Yuimetal ( 20/6/1999), Kanagawa, Japan *Kikuchi Moa as Moametal (4/7/1999) , Aichi, Japan *Debut: 28th November 2010 *Babymetal has 2 means: "Cute metal" and "new genre of metal" * Su-metal had been a great pop singer before joined in Babymetal, her voice can not be copied by anyone else when singing metal *Yuimetal and Moametal with small statures were added in Babymetal to become "Two Angels" dancing around "The Princess" Su-metal * Babymetal is one of the three most successful rock band from Japan (with X-Japan and ONE OK ROCK) *Su-metal has a bad habit that she always talk nonstop, she likes going around her house if she has nothing to do, she has the cutest crooked teeth and laughing sound *Yuimetal is the most shy member, she loves eating raw tomato, in any interview she always stares at the camera and then fall asleep, she has a couple of beautiful sad eyes *Moametal sleeps all day whenever she is at home, also known as a food dreamer and the funniest member. She has a couple of dimples and an optimistic smile everytime P/s: Cute girls in normal life, angels on stage!!
Yes, they were riding their horses into battle. A severe criticism here, the girls are 16 and 14. How many western girls could come anyway near this level of competence and stage presence? As for Su singing, it is outstanding I and many others will completely disagree to say they are not any better than other Jpop bands. I was going to recommend other songs for you to react to but if you disregard this epic performance as mediocre, I challenge you to react to one group with a singer of 16 years old from anywhere in the world that can match this performance. It is good you appreciate the Kami band but the whole point of BabyMetal is the juxtaposition of the kawaii girls with the heavy metal backing. Most of the BabyMetal 'live' DVD's have received post production as with 99% of all bands 'live' DVD releases. If you do react to Karate, watch the performance from Download: ruclips.net/video/qXF94RGYEmw/видео.html As for live performances from BabyMetal if you can get past talking about Iron Maiden, read the comments from people who travel miles, often going to different countries to see BabyMetal. Read from seasoned rockers well into their fifties who categorically state in all the years of seeing rock bands, the live show from BabyMetal is the best they have known.
Thats really cool! Wow that young? Thought they were older than that for sure! Well i mean i personally think that this song doesnt do a good job of showing Su´s singing abilities. I think it gets overshadowed by the crazy musicianship of the band. I also think there are a lot of great singers in Jpop out there, if there are any better than Su at age 16 i cant say to be honest. I just dont listen that much to Jpop so you could be right about that. Yea it might just be that, its just that ive heard another live show with babymetal where it sounded more uncut which i enjoyed more. Absolutely will put that on the list! Yea there are people who do a lot to see their favourite bands for sure. Thx for the comment i appreciate it. Definitely looking forward to reacting to more Babymetal and learning more about them!:)
It is very difficult to find a BabyMetal official performance that has not been post produced. There are a few 'fan cams' that capture the audio well but often at the expense of the video or visa versa. A good official video is Ijime Dame Zettai from Sonisphere: ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html This has received very little post production. If you hunt about, I think you can find Gimmie Chocolate from the same show. I may have been mistaken with their age. Apologies if so, it maybe 17 and 15 but my point is the same. :-)
Yea but that is understandable. I just think its not necessary but that my opinion. WIll put that on the list for sure! Thats fine i get what you mean. Maybe we will change our perspectives after listening through a lot of different songs!
@FloppyHares I dont think this is budokan, if i'm right it's from Saitama super arena, 2015-01-10. ( the description of the video by youtube isn't right i guess )
Regarding the singing qualities: Yes there are plenty J-Pop and K-Pop groups, which sound as good in studio recordings, but many of them sound absolutely creepy live. And believe me, they (BABYMETAL) didn't use autotune in this clip. Just a little reverb. Suzuka Nakamoto (lead singer, born December 1997) always was an exceptionally good singer for her age and she's ever evolving. Just search for some fan cams of them, hear the raw unprocessed audio and you will notice it really fast. And another thing you will notice is the fact, her voice literally cuts through all this heavy instrumentation stuff like a hot knife through a chunk of butter. You both were also wrong with your assumption, western metal fans are mainly attracted to the really good backing band. That's simply and utterly not true. Sure enough, there may be such fans, but they will be the clear minority.
Steffen Jachnow You might be right about that. What we were saying is that her singing is really good but there are better singers out there and that’s why we think that a big reason that people are listening to them is the whole package and at least from what I’ve understood from a lot of metal heads that I know it’s really the kami band that draws them in. But it could be true that that is not the case for a lot of other people or people in general!😊
If there is one thing we can conclude about Babymetal: the fans are even more diverse than Babymetal songs. :-) Really, if you go to a Babymetal show, you'll see kids of 7 dresses like the girls (cosplay) and 70 year old metalhead enjoying the music and performance side by side. And everyone in between, including a smaller group of (former ?) pop fans and anime fans. About 1/3 of the fans is girls and women in Japan. In the west, especially Europe, the fans are more metal. And the biggest group is the 20 to 25 year olds and many of them love having fun in the most pit.
Yesterday I was watching your most recent Nightwish reaction. It reminded me of an other reactor who months ago said: music is meant to manipulate emotions/elicit an affect. I think Nightwish definitely was able to do that in that at that time with that song ! It might seem Babymetal should not have such songs, it's seems more "frivolous fun". But Babymetal has a history of looking at X Japan for inspiration/guidance and they where doing songs like November Rain by Guns N' Roses before Guns N' Roses did.
I am absolutely loving this comment section! I haven't even watched your reaction yet lol. Babymetal fans are the most passionate, loyal, kind and knowledgeable family in music.
React 4 You You're kind of on the fence about Babymetal right now and believe me....we were all there at first. it's new. It's different. It's a little weird at first. it also leaves you needing more after the first time just to see what the hell just happened. I predict that after your 3rd Babymetal reaction you are absolutely hooked! And please go see them live if you get the chance. I've seen nearly every big rock and metal band there is and Babymetal blows EVERY one of them away.
John Rotuno I’ve actually done another one video with Babymetal which will be going up hopefully in a few days and I did like Suzukas voice a lot more! Hopefully they will come to Sweden one day!
There was a recent poll in Japan ranking female idol (pop) singers for their singing abilities. SU-METAL was voted #1 in what seems like a landslide. Here is a link to a Reddit post about the poll with a translation of the part of the article about SU-METAL. www.reddit.com/r/BABYMETAL/comments/6kbuyh/idol_singing_ability_ranking_top_5/ I have seen them live several times and SU-METAL really does sound that good live.
How can you judge so much on one song..oh yeah its the internet. Honestly the singing by Suzuka is what gets me. She has a great voice. It stands out . Don't listen to jpop .so I would only imagine they sing good.
Well its an reaction channel and we are supposed to say what we think about the particular song that we react to. That doesnt mean that we cant change our opinion after listening to other songs by them.
I see that enough people ripped you a new one, so I won't. The young lady had it right. It just works. Metal with good vocals! Personally I love this shit and I'm a 58 year old metalhead. BABYMETAL MUST GO ON! With Su, Moa and Yui! Or I will have to have a long talk with this Fox God or whatever it is!
Everyone will suggest their latest music like Karate and Distortion, but I suggest you start at the beginning to get a better understanding of their roots. I personally like their earlier stuff more than their new stuff. First release was Doki Doki Morning, followed by Ijime Dame Zettai, then Headbanger then Gimme Chocolate (which was most people's first taste of Babymetal) . Try those 4 then react to their new stuff afterwards. You will see their progression and the direction they are going in. Remember one important thing though...every single song is a different genre and style of metal. You cannot judge them on just one or two songs. My personal favorite is Catch Me If You Can live with the Kami band intro. The hardest metal song about Hide and Seek. ruclips.net/video/zpZHhKEKS4c/видео.html
React 4 You It's just a suggestion. Most new fans discover them by the newer stuff. Unfortunately, I think their new stuff is becoming very mainstream and radio friendly to appeal more to western audiences. But their earlier (read: 1st album) releases were where the real innovation and style of Babymetal shines thru. Just my opinion. I've been a fan since 2014 when I discovered Gimme Chocolate by accident.
Being an accomplished metal singer, saying a Japanese voice doesn't fit is ridiculous. I can sing to sold out crowds and merely improv. The band is the band when it comes to metal. Give credit to their stage presence, and the band. It's a fantastic SHOW.
For More Su vocal greatness check out Akatsuki. For that & Instrumental Greatness check out Rondo of Nightmare with The intro. Personal favs of typical Babymetal Sound in their New stuff. of course LIVE They actually Sound better live... oh Also Megitsune is A MUST Yava, Awadama Feaver
A song with full instrumental intro ---- Rondo Of Nightmare (With Mischiefs of God Intro) Live Budokan Black Night --- Su (lead singer) solo song ruclips.net/video/QxYAcIyk2Co/видео.html
I'm not usually mean but you guys are way off the mark on several things.. it's been pointed out already but you couldn't be more wrong. Noone can match their live performances.. I suggest you stick to Blackpink or something studio like that..
"i don't actually know what the song is about". if you're familiar with the concept of the path of least resistance, "road of resistance" is the opposite of that -- doing what you think is right, even if the ground has never been tread before.
These girls have been tearing down barriers in the metal genre. Today, more and more metal fans are starting to get drawn to the girls as well, not just the backing band. You're quite right when you said that many metal fans won't appreciate the cutesy voice, but when you give it a chance, you'll start getting hooked. Babymetal is basically redefining metal. A common thing metal sound has is the hard sound and pretty brutal lyrics. Many metal fans did not like what they did when they made cute lyrics for a metal song. Like what kind of person would write cute lyrics to a very heavy sounding tune? Babymetal also has been recognized by other metal bands and they embrace their sound. Rob Halford, Korn, and other famous bands have approved of them.
When reacting to this music, try to refrain from any parrot-like thought that comes to mind. You are facing something very new, and instead of giving it space to let it in, you are babbling like little children. Your opinion about Su-metal's voice also show you don't have a clue what you're talking about, sorry to say. Maybe this is over your head, and better let it go.
laughing buddha Thanks for the tip! We will think about that for the next reaction. Maybe I don’t, I’m not an expert on singing voices and I’m not really supposed to be. Just giving my honest opinion about what I’m hearing. I’m sorry though that you didn’t like the reaction. I hope you will enjoy the next one more!🙂
laughing buddha Thanks and I hope you will give the next babymetal reaction a shot! It will be up in a few days from now and I hope you will enjoy it! If not then please tell me afterwards why.🙂
If you think Japanese is too cute of a language to work with metal, then you must not have listened to any other Japanese metal bands. Dir En Grey for example -- to say they are scary is the biggest understatement. Just be warned that if you watch their videos, they are very, very disturbing. It was hard for me to get through just one, haha. I say it's just the members of Babymetal that make this band cute -- it just comes with the genre they created.
No one is serious about music while speaking or listening to music! Follow other excellent reaction RUclipsrs. I'm going to be with Korea who eats and profits from Japan
Their video has over 18M views so, all of their fans and many more people pretty much disagree with your criticism. If you're going to ding their producers for auto-tuning all live performances of this scale do it. As for their voices with the music, that's what makes them great. Keep trying though. Cheers
You wanted more musicianship, maybe react to Rondo of Nightmare in 2014 (over a year earlier). It's an instrumental 'intro' followed by a Su-metal solo song: ruclips.net/video/QxYAcIyk2Co/видео.html (it's from a DVD, so yeah, it's possible the audio got some work done, but you shouldn't be that distracted about it)
WIll do that! Thx for requesting it! Yea its not that big of a deal i just think that her voice doesnt need to have anything done to it. Better to just have it uncut in my opinion!
Thinking of what you said in the video. Please do Karate at Download 2016 first. It's unedited. There is a video of that with or without an intro: ruclips.net/video/FKOL6v3Md2c/видео.html ruclips.net/video/qXF94RGYEmw/видео.html Who knows, maybe you and your sister might like it with the intro ? :-) On topic of Iron Maiden, at the Sonisphere performance in 2014 (as linked by others) there were lots of Iron Maiden fans in the audience, because Babymetal was performing on the same main stage as Iron Maiden would perform later that day. Honestly, I think Iron Maiden fans are older in comparison to Babymetal fans. It's only normal as the band has been playing longer, their fans get older too. So they are less active. Babymetal in comparison, the topic/performances have a sense of fun, instead of a more serious metal music. So that might also have an influence on the fans. Let's be very clear what kind of changes they do for DVD/Blu-rays: When your sister said: off-tune... I'm like: no way ! Su-metal/Suzuka doesn't sing off-tune or out of tune or something like that. There are short moments in each concert where a note is only just reached and you might hear a little tension or the 'pronunciation' is slightly different (that's what we'd call it when speaking, not singing, but you get the idea). But even someone like Floor Jansen of Nightwish has that every show and only those that have heard many live performances of the same singer & song would notice it at all. There is no tuning, etc. It's just a little patch work. Here is a very recent, this year, unedited Su-metal solo song/performance (HQ recording, not fancam): ruclips.net/video/2tWLpTZI9ZE/видео.html OK, enough suggestions ? :-)
Nice reaction :). I like that you talk about the music at the end. Maybe you should allways team up with your sister:D. Btw. they are 20 and 19 now. Fans already joking about that people who don't like BM wil bring that age argmuent when they are 50.
Michael Wolf Thanks man! I’m glad you liked it! No I don’t think that’s possible unfortunately. I release one video Evert day so it wouldnt be possible for her to do that with me every day! Yea I thought she was about 20 years or something Like that!
Forgive my bad english Well, Babymetal y different for a lot of reasons. They where created as an "idol proyect", not a típical band. Some people must think "An idol is just a young boy or girl who looks good and can sing a little". Wrong, very wrong. The idol world is very hard. The competition just to get in a group are insane. Every year thousands of very young boys and girls try to get in this world and only a few can do it. The amount of work is also big. Now the members os babymetal finish secondary education, but when they are in school they must attend the classes (and with good marks) and the rest of the day study music, dance, singing... the live concerts are in his free days and holidays. Suzuka was a profesional singer at 11/12 years old. In this world the kids must behave like profesional adults. There´s no easy for them. Also in the idol world when a boy or a girl finished secondary education, a lot are discarted. Only the best of the best can continue his carreer as artist On the other side, Metal "born" in Japan in the 80. Groups like X-Japan where the responsibles. Btw the producer is a big fan of X-Japan and they do a lot of tributes for this band. Look for some live of X-Japan, i´m sure you like it. ruclips.net/video/YMw1ObQuhNk/видео.html And like some people says before, Suzuka have a great voice, cristal clear with a nice range, but japanese don´t sound the same with a boy and a girl. Japanese girls have typically a high pitch. The language sounds weird at first, but is only a matter of get used to it. Of course there are japanese with a "better voice" but Suzuka have not only good voice, she have also "power" Try to react to other bands also like Band Maid, maybe his song "Dice", it´s pretty good. On the pop side must try Scandal
Jose Manuel Perez Thanks Jose for all the great info. You’re English was very good. Don’t feel bad about it.🙂 That’s really cool to see how idols become the persons they are. It’s crazy though, must be really though on them to have that kind of an lifestyle😕. I will definitely check out those bands also that you requested!
Babymetal is not a regular idol group, because Babymetal was build around the talent of Suzuka. Normal idol groups are created from concept first, possibly even by some suits in a board room, after that they'll get some girls/boys.
I can anderstand that japanese tone of voice sounds weird to a lot of people, but i never though mocking it, miming the high pitch voice is really funny to me. But dont get me wrong, i'm fine with the fact that not everybody would like it. Aside that, the reaction was honest and you get some point on it, and i like that you argue about what you like or not. Karate is for sure a very solid song, and is often the favorite of most of the "non-fans". Probably a more accesible and easy-listening song. Also the tune of the voice is lower wich make it much more easier to people who are not too much into Japaneses voice. While the official video is a very good one, you can try the Live performance from Download festival in 2016, a very good performance: ruclips.net/video/qXF94RGYEmw/видео.html
Yea my sister thought that but i am reacting to anime on this channel and also watch a lot in my spare time so i am used to the japanese language and dont thing it sounds weird at all. I really like how Japanese sounds. Yea i would love to do Karate. There are quite a lot of different requests now though for Babymetal so i might not do Karate first but it is definitely coming! Thanks for the comment and the request!
Yea maybe they were. We are not musical experts or anything like that. We are just two normal people making videos and giving our opinions and thoughts

Nice reaction. But I have noticed Scandinavians (and Swedish in particular - on youtube at least) seem to basically have an American Accent when speaking English. Is there any particular reason for this?
Thank you. My guess would be the high consumption of american media and entertainment. Unlike many other European countries Sweden doesn't dub movies etc. so we hear a lot of American English on a daily basis.
I just found your channel and I haven’t looked at your other reactions yet. BabyMetal: Lets Go way back with SuMetal for the History of SuMetal. ruclips.net/video/Ak9lUmTV8Lw/видео.html She has done quite a lot of things before BabyMetal.
I'm RIGHT Change My MIND We might have been incorrect about her singing voice just being like a regular J pop singer. However controlling a crowd when you’re a teenager is not really something new. We have tons of people in Sweden who are teenagers who can sing in front of thousands of people and doing it well. I’m not saying that it is not talented to be able to do that. It is and Suzuka is very talented and has a great voice, however there a lot of singers that sounds better than her. At least in my opinion and you can have another and that is fine.🙂
Your quote: "We have tons of people in Sweden who are teenagers who can sing in front of thousands of people and doing it well." Give me some names please. I'm very curious.
Bube Lennox Well we have the idol show every year where there are tons of people under 18 years old who participate every year. Sweden is also known for having a lot of good choirs and we have a lot of solo singers that are under 18 years old who can do it really good. Both I and my sister was actually a part of a choir before. Then we also have a show called talang where a lot of singers participate in. The most famous one would probably be Zara Larson who participated when she was 14 I think. All I’m saying is that singing in front of a large audience is something that a lot of people can do. That’s still really impressive to be able to do it because not everyone can and to do it as well as Suzuka is really impressive.🙂
Su has made the comment about trying very hard to sing well because Su knows that everything is recorded and marketed. I didn't realize how new this channel was and great job. I suggest if you are going to look at baby metal look at the sibtitled BABYMETAL - Sis.Anger [English subtitles] | Live Compilation, Heads Or Tails | BabyMetal - Megitsune , [FlyingGet] BABYMETAL - Ijime, Dame, Zettai (english + portuguese subs).. So you get and idea of where they are lyrically .. These are powerful songs .. BABYMETAL 'THE ONE' (MESSAGE TO THE WORLD) UNOFFICIAL HD is another very strong fan vid .. Babymetal is all just an experiment .. The bigger acts on Amuse are Perfume and One OK Rock .. Now we don't even know if Yui will return ..
THE ONE is also in English even if they do have the pronunciation problems as in Painkiller and Breaking the Law live with Rob Halford. BABYMETAL - AKATSUKI「紅月アカツキ」BLACK NIGHT HD1080p is a fine show case for Su and the band. 大村孝佳 (Takayoshi Ohmura) - Band Solo is the band solo with the late great Mikio and no baby in the metal...
metal koba Thank you so much! That’s a big compliment. Warms our heart a lot! Thanks for the comment and hopefully you will enjoy the other content as well

Indeed. It's one thing to stand still and sing. Quite another to jump around like that and still be able to sing that well.
@@danielbengtsson9833 not only that but she was 17 when this consert was and they had played for 90minutes already, so she is an insane vocalist.

Thank you for reacting to BABYMETAL.
You had a couple of things wrong:
1) The name doesn't refer to them 'being babies'.
But, let me tell you, speaking from experience: she's just THAT good. ;-)

Slight correction: The BabyMetal debut performance was Nov. 28, 2010 at the Sakura Gakuin Fest. Their first music video was in 2011.
Jeff Schreifels That could be true! We might need to hear some more to get used to the singing! We will see how we feel in the next video!
Jeff Schreifels right! 😂
React 4 You a solo song would showcase more of suzuka's vocal ability. Also Japanese words extremely well with rock/metal and there are a bunch of great Japanese bands besides Babymetal
By coincidence, he reacted to Rondo of Nightmare today.
prodigypenn Well I did a a react recently to Rondo of nightmare which I absolutely loved so you could check it out if you’d like!
Let me tell you something, NOBODY puts Suzuka In a corner.💪🏻🤘🏻
BigBrutal BassBeer That’s good!👍 Defend Suzuka!
One thing to note is that Su is staying on key while doing all this moves. Would love to see a kpop jpop or any idol attempt to do that live.
*Nakamoto Suzuka as Su-metal (20/12/1997), Hiroshima, Japan
*Mizuno Yui as Yuimetal ( 20/6/1999), Kanagawa, Japan
*Kikuchi Moa as Moametal (4/7/1999) , Aichi, Japan
*Debut: 28th November 2010
*Babymetal has 2 means: "Cute metal" and "new genre of metal"
* Su-metal had been a great pop singer before joined in Babymetal, her voice can not be copied by anyone else when singing metal
*Yuimetal and Moametal with small statures were added in Babymetal to become "Two Angels" dancing around "The Princess" Su-metal
* Babymetal is one of the three most successful rock band from Japan (with X-Japan and ONE OK ROCK)
*Su-metal has a bad habit that she always talk nonstop, she likes going around her house if she has nothing to do, she has the cutest crooked teeth and laughing sound
*Yuimetal is the most shy member, she loves eating raw tomato, in any interview she always stares at the camera and then fall asleep, she has a couple of beautiful sad eyes
*Moametal sleeps all day whenever she is at home, also known as a food dreamer and the funniest member. She has a couple of dimples and an optimistic smile everytime
P/s: Cute girls in normal life, angels on stage!!
If you do react to Karate, watch the performance from Download: ruclips.net/video/qXF94RGYEmw/видео.html
As for live performances from BabyMetal if you can get past talking about Iron Maiden, read the comments from people who travel miles, often going to different countries to see BabyMetal.
@Glynthepin You were right the first time. Budokan was 2-3 March 2014; Suzuka was 16 and 3 1/2 months here and MoiMoi were both still 14 at the time.
Really, if you go to a Babymetal show, you'll see kids of 7 dresses like the girls (cosplay) and 70 year old metalhead enjoying the music and performance side by side. And everyone in between, including a smaller group of (former ?) pop fans and anime fans. About 1/3 of the fans is girls and women in Japan. In the west, especially Europe, the fans are more metal. And the biggest group is the 20 to 25 year olds and many of them love having fun in the most pit.
autohmae That is great! Music that can unite so many different people is just awesome! Would love to go to a show!
But Babymetal has a history of looking at X Japan for inspiration/guidance and they where doing songs like November Rain by Guns N' Roses before Guns N' Roses did.
autohmae I would like to check that song out if it does indeed evoke emotions in a good way!🙂

"Stand up and shout, shout!, Justice forever!"
open your mind for something new. you two are not ready to react.
I am absolutely loving this comment section! I haven't even watched your reaction yet lol. Babymetal fans are the most passionate, loyal, kind and knowledgeable family in music.
Yea there’s been a lot of nice people here!🙂
React 4 You
You're kind of on the fence about Babymetal right now and believe me....we were all there at first.
Here is a link to a Reddit post about the poll with a translation of the part of the article about SU-METAL.
www.reddit.com/r/BABYMETAL/comments/6kbuyh/idol_singing_ability_ranking_top_5/
I have seen them live several times and SU-METAL really does sound that good live.
Dewayne Quertermous That’s really cool! Thank you for the info and link. I would love to see them live so I’m just a bit jealous.😉
Not meaning to be rude, but you know not of which you speak.
James Summerlin That might be true! What is it that you don’t agree with? That suzakus voice is much better than we thought?
That singer can fucking sing... I've seen them live.... She rattles the rafters mate
Chris Martino That’s cool man! I think she can sing very good as well. I’m so jealous. Would have liked to seen them live as well!
React 4 You I recommend Megitsune. For total vocal desctrution by Suzaka's singing. and so many more
Chris Martino Will Check it out!🤘
How can you judge so much on one song..oh yeah its the internet.
Aldo Metal Unfortunatey I just did a video of their latest song distortion. I can however do it as you’d Ike to go in order somewhat after that one.
Su-Metal is the oldest at 20 and Yui and Moa are around 19 now.
Blackguard Yea so Su is my age like i thought!🙂
Let's get rid of the relativism of "now", Su was born in 1997 Yui and Moa in 1999. The "Legend" is used for their birthdays.
Have to study the subject before reacting. Su is an amazing live vocalist.
So that's not just a back drop? Dude, your sister has amazing taste! That wall is amazing!
Su was criticised because of her Japanese-esque enunciation and voice? jeez
Personal favs of typical Babymetal Sound in their New stuff.
of course LIVE
They actually Sound better live... oh Also Megitsune is A MUST
Yava, Awadama Feaver

Whi8ky It’s on the list! Thank you for requesting! Nice hearing her sing alone!👍
Where is the photo in the background from? Chicago?
if you want to get The feel for Babymetal check out their early stuff BUT LIVE. All their early songs performed at later shows are AMAZING
I'm not usually mean but you guys are way off the mark on several things.. it's been pointed out already but you couldn't be more wrong. Noone can match their live performances.. I suggest you stick to Blackpink or something studio like that..
haha the amount of people not only in jp. who loved the band manifest that su metal... is awesone
Haha yea that is true!
"hard music with cute language" hence Babymetal
Karl Hendrix Lat That’s really cool actually! That they’ve done that and people have acknowledged them!😊
When reacting to this music, try to refrain from any parrot-like thought that comes to mind.
I hope you will enjoy the next one more!🙂
Well, you are a good sport! That makes up for a lot of the bad. :-)))
laughing buddha Thanks and I hope you will give the next babymetal reaction a shot!
I'm going to be with Korea who eats and profits from Japan
like any other pop singer?? i'd love to see most pop singers belch out the lyrics like Suzuka does!!
If you want "not live" then karate it is. If you want to hear Su sing, then akatsuki black night live. But I would request headbanger live.
Tom A Will put them all on the list!🙂
Their video has over 18M views so, all of their fans and many more people pretty much disagree with your criticism. If you're going to ding their producers for auto-tuning all live performances of this scale do it. As for their voices with the music, that's what makes them great. Keep trying though. Cheers
Yea that is understandable. I will always be truthful with my opinions and i have no issues with people not agreeing with me on different things.:)
You wanted more musicianship, maybe react to Rondo of Nightmare in 2014 (over a year earlier).
It's an instrumental 'intro' followed by a Su-metal solo song:
ruclips.net/video/QxYAcIyk2Co/видео.html
(it's from a DVD, so yeah, it's possible the audio got some work done, but you shouldn't be that distracted about it)
WIll do that!
On topic of Iron Maiden, at the Sonisphere performance in 2014 (as linked by others) there were lots of Iron Maiden fans in the audience, because Babymetal was performing on the same main stage as Iron Maiden would perform later that day.
Let's be very clear what kind of changes they do for DVD/Blu-rays:
When your sister said: off-tune...
Here is a very recent, this year, unedited Su-metal solo song/performance (HQ recording, not fancam):
ruclips.net/video/2tWLpTZI9ZE/видео.html
OK, enough suggestions ?
Yea I thought she was about 20 years or something
Like that!
Europeans also can manage good Circle Pits for sure ;) .....see the WACKEN or HELLFEST Circlepits!
Forgive my bad english
Well, Babymetal y different for a lot of reasons.
Only the best of the best can continue his carreer as artist
On the other side, Metal "born" in Japan in the 80. Groups like X-Japan where the responsibles. Btw the producer is a big fan of X-Japan and they do a lot of tributes for this band.
Look for some live of X-Japan, i´m sure you like it.
ruclips.net/video/YMw1ObQuhNk/видео.html
And like some people says before, Suzuka have a great voice, cristal clear with a nice range, but japanese don´t sound the same with a boy and a girl. Japanese girls have typically a high pitch. The language sounds weird at first, but is only a matter of get used to it. Of course there are japanese with a "better voice" but Suzuka have not only good voice, she have also "power"
Try to react to other bands also like Band Maid, maybe his song "Dice", it´s pretty good. On the pop side must try Scandal
Jose Manuel Perez Thanks Jose for all the great info. You’re English was very good. Don’t feel bad about it.🙂
That’s really cool to see how idols become the persons they are.
These reaction facts are wayyyyyy off.

Try to listen Akatsuki unrealeashed. You would see the insane vocals of Suzuka

See you
義美Yamada Thanks Yamada! I really appreciate it!
having a conversation during the ENTIRE song is no way to do a reaction video.
Commanding a crowd in your teen, that's pretty average, everybody can pull it off right
I'm RIGHT Change My MIND We might have been incorrect about her singing voice just being like a regular J pop singer.
That’s still really impressive to be able to do it because not everyone can and to do it as well as Suzuka is really impressive.🙂
hmm, I think that's the wrong comparison. It's just not the same.
Bube Lennox Why not?
React to karate live download uk 2016
robert flores Will do my friend!🤘
React 4 You 👍🗣great!
HellenKillerProject Thank you so much! I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. Thanks so much for the requests. I will put them all on the list!
HellenKillerProject That’s fine! I think it sounds cute with an accent! I will definitely check them out. Thx for requesting.
