    You know what you should cover next? The retrieval. How do you know when it’s time to get the eggs? What if you start ovulating an hour or two earlier than the doctor thought? What happens if you’re too early or too late?

      Yes! I have the same questions. Thank you for asking.

    My fertility doesn’t routinely test Amh….i was shocked. Sadly I live in Atlantic Canada and we only have one ivf clinic. Thank you for this information. Learning as much as I can to decide if we should travel to a different clinic !

    This video helped me so much. I switched clinics after my second IVF cycle with a clinic. I had a large number of immature eggs on both retrievals. Same protocol both times.

    Hi Dr. Crawford, I have my first FET in January and I was just told about embryo glue, there’s not a lot of information or long-term studies on it. I was wondering what your take on it was?

    Hi Natalie, thank you for all of the content you put out. I’ve been working on getting my diagnosis for stage 4 endometriosis under control and exploring our options for fertility treatments once I heal from excision surgery. Pre-excision my AMH was .2 and FSH was 19/LH was 7. With the discovery that I have stage 4 endo, is IVF even a possibility? Would it be worth while to try naturally or to just go right to IVF? I’m sure you hear this all the time, but at 29 years old I never thought I’d have to make a decision like this so young, I thought I had a lot more time to have a family. Thank you again for this content❤ you really helped me advocate for myself with getting my endo diagnosis🙏🏻

    Ive done two rounds of IVF here in Norway. We had Gonal-f the first time. Of a dose of 125. =6 eggs.
    The second round we had pergoveris 150. we got = 9 eggs.
    Offcourse fyremadel too in the morning both times.
    3rd is scheduled in january next year. The protocol will then be a shot with "R" something.
    In the US you guys usually get more eggs. Here in Norway they think its too much for norwegian women. And we are awake during the eggretrival. I will get a scan / ultrasound with a camera before the next round. My first gynecologist sayed I might have PCOS. But I havnet been testes for it yet. Is that hard to do?😅

      How the hell do you stay awake ? Doesn't it hurt. I could never

    • @Carolineflorist
      @Carolineflorist 10 месяцев назад +2

      Haha, @@prachi6802. It isn't a choice on my part, LOL.😅🥴 We dont go under like you do the the states, here in Norway.
      First you get sevral pills to take, 30 minuits prior to entering the operation room, like Panodril, Metoclopramide, Naproxen and a morfin pill (I get 1 x shot of Petidin in my hip, cuz i get sick from the morfin.) And then once in the gynovologist chair they sedate you even more, directly info the ovary, befor retreiveing all the follikles.
      I feel it for sure! But my pain tollerance is low too 😅 Its a needle up in there! And you do feel a few stabbs now and then ( sorry ). But, its over in max 30 minuits, I think it took 20 or so this time, but I got dizzy in the end. SO I stayed in the chair a little longer...
      Ive had a embryo transplant today acually, with 2 embryos. We got 18 follikles, 10 eggs. and 7 of them got fertalized within 24 hours. But only 1 great one is frozen, and 2 transplanted. I hope this time it works!
      And a funny thing! The doctor who sew my mum, in 1989 in another part of Norway. was MY doctor today so I hope this comes fullcirkle today! Test martch 26! Wish me luck!🤞

    What does it mean if you got 5 mature eggs but only 1 fertilized naturally. The other 4 did fertilize with ICSI and were all normal. Why didn’t more eggs fertilize normally. The sperm was normal on the SA

    I have 2 rounds of IVF in Bulgaria: 1st time with Bemfola 300 and Ganirelix 0.25 and Ovitrelle 0.25 for trigger and 2nd time with Meriofert 300, Fostimon 75 and Ganirelix 0.25 and Ovitrelle 0.25 for trigger. Both times i had 11 eggs, however just 1 egg each time was decent quality however didn't turn into an embryo. Therefore the conclusion is bad eggs quality which the doctor says its strange as i am 36 and all hormones are well in check. I already have a 6 years old son with the same partner naturally conceived, so we are shocked to hear that the eggs are bad quality. Now we are to do a karyotyping test to see if there is something there as none of us smokes , we only drink occasionally and do sports. Ofc I am taking egg improving supplements, did 20 rounds of HBOT and we will try another round in a few months, but its quite disheartening. Have you had cases where the female's side looks good on paper (hormones, AMH, ovulates regularly) but ends up having bad quality eggs? Thanks

      Unfortunately, there are no blood tests that assess the quality of your eggs. AMH and similar tests on assess the ability of your ovaries to respond to stimulation.

      Update: we changed clinics and had a 3rd round of IVF. They changed the protocol and we ended up getting 2 good quality embryos. One of them was transferred in a frozen cycle and I am almost 5 weeks pregnant today :) I suppose my eggs were not the best quality, however most probably a better tailored protocol is what helped. Good luck to everyone who is on this journey now

    What if AMH is low for your age but AFC is high?
    Ex: 37 years old, AMH of 1.8ng/mL (13.4pmol/L) but AFC is continually around 20-26?

    • @nhikkiv1632
      @nhikkiv1632 8 месяцев назад

      That AMH is amazing for a 37yr old. Normal range is 1-4. And if AFC is high, that could indicate PCOS

    Does the number change every cycle for what is “outside the vault”

      Yes some months are higher, some months are lower. Same with your AMH levels

    =) Hello Dr.Crawford! *Is it possible to freeze your eggs at age 35 in the USA and then get a surrogate overseas 5 years later* ? Can frozen eggs travel overseas and not be compromised?

      What’s the unit of measure? For context, mine is 13.4pmol/L (measurement used in Canada) but 1.8ng/mL (measurement used in US)
