- George Washington retired as General of the Continental Army in 1783. Upon his retirement he wrote a letter called the “Circular to the States” in which he shared his vision of how America and its citizens could succeed or fail in the years to come.

I dont think enough Americans realize how amazing it is that George Washington & our other Founders were all the right ppl in the right roles at the right time. Some have even called it a divine guidance. This allowed the seed of our country, based on personal liberty, to be planted & grown.
Annnnnd the seed was blocked along the way of growing and now the plant is deformed, yet so tall and thick

George Washington adds to the American spirit that WE should be admired, feared and respected by other countries that maintains the status of being number 1 in the world!
We have to be a super power not just another independent country. To this day, people ALL over the world still
regard America as the epitome model of power and the standard of democracy. America is considered a testament of progress for the human race. I see people write "God Bless America" from other countries!

All countries want their hero's to be Larger than life. Washington knew what all men should know. That he wasn't perfect. He made mistakes. That's what made me so great and loved by his country.
An excellent man of etiquette and surely a person of wisdom. I am currently reading a biography about him, and I’m certainly intrigued by his personality.

I think it's pretty clear that he is foreshadowing his desire that future Generations will find a better way of relating to one another that they may bring an end to slavery. Especially then he could not publicly say such a thing. But I think you can read the undertones if you understand the language of the time

The Union she spoke of was a Union of Opposites, a tolerant location where all seemingly different polarities could exist in peaceful coexistence. “We’re all Americans… let’s learn to live together.” Let’s leave aside the petty differences and live a life of inclusion, a life where all may thrice. Provide for the least of our brothers and you provide for me (and you and ALL of us).
We must unite as Americans, to many other countries hate us for us to be divided.

The USA only exists today is because the most ingenious people to have ever lived on this planet were all in that tiny room in Philadelphia when we declared our independence and wrote the constitution. Our American experience is unique and special because of them. They did not create a perfect union but gave us the perfect means to create a more perfect union. Washington was a very spiritual person but he did think the white race was superior because of their accomplishments throughout history. All top university’s were founded by ministers, like Harvard, Yale, William and Mary etc., But now they’ve become totally secular and atheists. I believe that none of our founding fathers were perfect people at all but they have proven by the constitution to be much more intelligent than any in Congress today by far. We have made some great changes though by trying to teach our young to treat everyone else the same as the Bible clearly teaches, that God is no respecter of persons. He doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor male or female black or white. But you can’t force people to like you and if people don’t want to be with me or eat by me or invite me to the party is just fine with me. I will still like them anyway. By the way if science would have paid more attention to the Old Testament even though I know they can’t see it they would have used anesthesiologists sooner lol maybe. You can’t comprehend the New Testament unless you read it in the same spirit in which it was written.
