The bunkers and gun placements are in great condition. Never seen a full razor wire stake with the top spikes intact before, thanks for showing it.

Great ending part to the series. As always great information. The 37mm cannon was for sure shipboard, some ship's captain was upset to find a gun missing. This series you have out done yourself HH. EE, glad you had a great trip. Awaiting the next series. Be safe and well out there.
Update: looks like that unit came off a U-boat, or Schnell Boat. Larger ships ran twin guns and larger crews. This unit was replaced by Bofors 40mm.

This area, with its massive expanse of bunkers and gun positions, has been a truly fascinating look into how ridiculously huge and complex, Hitler's Atlantic Wall was. And the fact that the caretakers of this site, have maintained it the way they have, makes it so much easier to imagine what it was like when the Germans were there. Truly an incredible look back into History. Thank you both for all your efforts, and time, to bring such amazing places to us. Looking forward to hearing the story behind the officers dress dagger! What an amazing place, and in such good order too. Good to see young EE enjoying his explores as usual and also amassing a huge amount of knowledge at the same time. Thank you as ever for taking us with you and sharing this special place.
The location was also used in the years following as a part of an elaborate defence network against the Soviets leaving the Baltic Sea. A very interesting place, and definitely one I need to visit some day.

I seem to recall that the position was to guard the port/harbour you can see on the periphery of some of your seascape shots. The reason that it is in such good condition was that the National Army of the country used some of the old German WW2 positions and coastal artillery as their Cold War contribution to guarding the coast and sea-lanes. Nice to see that EE was enjoying roaming the facilities.

That was one wicked looking barbed wire post in the forest along with the piles of wire! It is interesting as to how much of that material is piled up and laying around at different sites. I wonder how many kilometers of the stuff was made during the war!?! That machine gun position was still painted on the inside, I don't think I had seen that before... That regelbau with the powered gear on the wall must have generated a lot of heat in that bunker. Maybe they had some fans to vent it... Thanks for taking us along! Stay safe and stay well!!
yes i do think that sometimes it is strange that items are still laying around , even today. Some of the positions do have strange color patterns or colors. Loved to find this and share it with you my friend and thanks for your incredible support.

Another fascinating enormous AW position with an actual (deactivated) German WW2 20mm AA gun still in place. Thanks very much for the comments on the men who might have served here. Soldiers are soldiers wherever they serve. They all follow orders. Such a pity they sometimes serve evil generals.

Once again a spectacular adventure! No we would never have been able to experience this if it weren't for you and EE. Those guns were awesome! I do know the Germans wouldn't have painted the bunker those hideous colors. The barbed wire poles were nice to see as well. That's a lot of barbed wire that's left over. Take care and stay safe. 💖💯

That place WAS spectacular! EE always gets through to his destination even if the door won't open. 😅 You are not fat & old HH. Stop that right now. That was a neat N77 bunker. Would be interested in knowing the story behind the incomplete M270. Be careful around the barbed wire. Too bad some of the equipment wasn't still there in the flak crew bunker. Anti-aircraft gun was something. Just imagine the young German soldiers manning those guns and the pride they felt when they exceeded the expectations. Yes, we should always remember that the soldiers were and are human beings fighting for what they genuinely believe in. Will be interesting to see the RAF site. Always want to know more about BBG discovery. Thanks, EE & HH ❤

Counting the bunk hangers that room is for 36 Heer soldatten. That was a VERY big investment with this artillery site! 5:52 I dont recognise this type of gun emplacement I would like to know more about it and what the small bboxes are on each side with the shutters? Not sure but they look like shell elevators one side for AP and one for high explosive? So they wind one up from below then the loaders takke it from the shutter - load BOOM! Anyone have any ideas about this its unusual!
12:24 owing to the sheer number of cables I believe this may have been a plotting and targetting room. Also the silhouettes on the wall, I recognise shapes from one of your earlier videos of a gun plotting room that has been preserved in original condition. The whole gun and everything WORKS! The fact that that yellow paint has NOTHING underneath it except the concrete indicates it is ORIGINAL in that room. The green in the other room is modern though. THAT is so so interesting I would love to know more what that was. The number of troops here indicates an large position with multiple guns. The may have been officers here who received sighting reports from a rangefinder or radar location above ground. Calling in TARGET BEARING 270 degrees - range 12000 wind speed 12 m/s. They dial this into a large brass machine and it provides a firing solution . You would know of this from your days in the U boats. The gun captain choses which guns can fire that direction and calls in the firing order and shell type. In goes the shell all the time other guns firing around them - fingers in ears and BOOOOOOMMM whooosh and the shell HOWLS out to sea..........
