Teacher Zoey, you did a superb job of clearly explaining the usage of 着 (zhe). In my journey of self-study I have heard of others trying to do the same thing, but afterwards I still felt uneasy and unsure of its use. Thank you so much. You're a God sent!
I'm so grateful to you for this video. This is the best explanation I've ever got. You've helped me clarify lots of things about "zhe", thank you so much. Besides, would you mind if I asked for other videos about the words 呢 and 就. 多感谢您。
Zoey 老师, do you have formal training as a 老实的中文? You're style of teaching is one of the best I've come across. Very clear and easy to understand. You provide a lot of information without it being overwhelming. 谢谢您!
Most common answer is 我在吃饭. Not saying 我吃着饭 and 我在吃着饭 incorrect, 95% ppl won't use it to reply what are you doing., cuz they are not suitable to be used to answer a continuous tense question. If it's another question, 你吃了吗? Did u eat? You can answer with: 我在吃,or 我吃着呢 我在吃means I'm eating 我吃着呢means a state of eating. Meaningwise same
(Somebody does zhe something) usually won't be used alone. Either used to answer a specific question or followed by something else. 你在 do what? "我在 do something" is always the best answer. That's native speaking. The other answers all sound non-native. Unless someone has a very weird speaking habit. So again, better understand verb着 means a state, not a continuous tense
@@zoeythesharer9050 Thank you very much! This lecture is excellent. You are very good at this. I am watching this video over and over again, i't is that good!
HI ZOEY IN this clip video at sentences " zhuo shang you yi tai dian nao " you changes " you " instead " fangzhe " in dictionary it does have meaning fangzhe would you tell what meaning, also my question is " how could i find meaning of two character as fangzhe if in case does have meaning in dictionary.Thank you very much
A verb+zhe can be used to describe a state. Like I said in the video, if it’s a human, we can say Zhan(stand) zhe, which means a person standing, because computer is an object, ‘fang’ means ‘put’, an object only can be put on somewhere, that’s why we use ‘fangzhe’. ‘Na bian(over there) you yi ge ren,’ means there is a person over there. We also can say ‘na bian zhan(stand) zhe yi ge ren.’ Means someone standing over there. Therefore, ‘fangzhe’ is just used to describe a state of the computer, literally, it doesn’t means ‘there is/are’, they’re just different expressions to express same things.
如果你想学习翻译新闻,你要学习更多专业单词。if you wanna learn how to translate news, you need to focus on academic terms. So far, what I can do is to explain basic grammars and common structures, I mainly focus on speaking. if you have any questions, I will do my best to help you with replies.
What do you exactly wanna express? If you wanna say she’s making dumplings, better say她“在”包饺子(包is exclusively used to express making饺子,包means pack/bag,means put fillings into something),在+do something means doing something. do+着 is more like “while doing something”,so we don’t use it as an independent sentence unless there are more than one verbs. For example, 我看着电视吃饭,(I eat while watching TV) you also can switch the verbs like: 我吃着饭看电视(I watch TV while eating) either way, but you can’t say 我吃着饭, people will be like “and?”they are waiting for you to finish your sentence. If I asked you “what are you doing?” You will say 我“在”吃饭。 If this is what you wanna ask.
@@zoeythesharer9050 yes, teacher but really wonder and I watched many video about verb+着。why I can't say 我吃着饭 as continuation state ,but we can say我拿着笔, because both of them are the same structure verb+着。
@@riyalong7531 Of course you can say 我吃着饭 or 我拿着笔, but they are not independent sentences as I already explained. What kind of exact scenarios do you wanna use these expressions may I ask? When do you need to say 我吃着饭 or 我拿着笔?

To make your lecture
impressive, you must write down English Sentence after every chinese sentence. ❤🎉😮😢😂😊😅
Speaking English ain't enough. You have to write Eglish meaning for every chinese sentence altogether. Only speaking English ain't enough
