When you break up with the girl you thought would marry due to her family and been depressed for weeks leave it to Jim to make you laugh. I needed that thanks
God bless you darlin. He spared you possibly years of misery because of hateful family. The right woman is still waiting for you. When it all falls into place easily, that’s God’s plan for you. 💪💥🔥
I miss the day's when kayfabe was a thing and when wrestling didn't need all the gimmicks. Too many bells and whistles too. Wrestling is an athletic struggle between good and evil storytelling and backstories on the characters.
9:10 It was the Hale-Bopp comet, and the cult was Heaven's Gate. Family Guy parodied the whole thing in its third episode, "Chitty Chitty Death Bang" back in 1999. John O'Hurley voiced the cult leader.
The schedule back in the territory days especially when Jim goes into detail was simply brutal. Yet all the time working on your in ring craft and working on character/story-line development. Now days maybe TV once or possibly twice a week with rare house shows ... or worse still ... sitting at home months on end and getting paid ... things certainly have changed ... you can understand Jim's frustration with the attitude of some within the industry now ... 🤔
Saturday night's main event's premiere on December 14th was a great show jesse Ventura did such an excellent job on commentary during the main event he hadn't missed a step since last doing commentary in WWE on an episode of raw in 2009 which I forgot about lol the fact this episode beat AEW collision in the ratings tells you how hot WWE'S product has been and how awful AEW has been all year round especially when they give themselves a gunshot wound when they aired the all-in footage back in April.
Besides the horrible things he was doing on the side, as far as creative goes Drew is a prime example that Vince had no clue what he was doing for a long time, and it's kinda ironic that it was Vince that initially introduced Drew all those years ago as the future, but he didn't know what to do with him, he tries to dumb it down which in turn makes Drew less interesting, he's Scottish, let's give him a sword. Drew is also so talented that I don't know how many people could turn around after being in that stupid group playing air guitar 3mb
Counter point - they are currently screwing drew. I'd say HHH has an issue with him. Let's look at what he's done recently. He carried the feud with Punk for 9 months while punk was injured and re-injured again. He was there every night, keeping the angle hot while punk showed up once in a while. Drew helped deliver one of the best angles in the last decade. So, how do they reward him? By taking what he's worked for, making himself look like a serious main event worker, and giving him a follow-up mid-card feud with Sami and Jey. How do they reward Punk? Push him as main event. Insert him into the bloodline feud. He'll probably win the rumble this year... Drew deserves better than what they gave him for a reward. The second they make Drew dance, which will happen, it'll be all over for him. Nobody recovers after they dance on TV. Lol. Khali, big show, tensai, funkasaurus, big e. If u see a wrestler dance, they are 6 months from a release.
@@DrSpoculus Sigh. They can't ALL be title feuds. Settle the fuck down. You're the type who overuses the term "buried", but always incorrectly, aren't you?
Damien Martinez, now Priest, wrestled for years on the indies without anyone really caring. Two things got Priest noticed. Getting into shape, and doing a flip. I can understand if he still feels the need to do that flip, seeing how that's part of what got him where he is, such is the nature of post territorial wrestling. He's definitely not the worst offender, unless he's REALLY changed in WWE. If he really hurt himself there, maybe this is where he stops, or at least tones it down and does it better when it matters.
Io Shirai was the ace of STARDOM, after most of the glamour models retired, Yoshiko got fired, Nanae Takahashi quit, etc. She and her sister were mainly the minions of Kanako "Asuka" Urai. Io had a good reputation, she was respected, probably the best person for STARDOM to push, given the circumstances, but she wasn't regarded as a paragon of in ring workers or anything. Brian should have just admitted she makes mistakes and reminded Jim of that match in Puerto Rico he liked. Actually, receiving one too many reckless potatoes is exactly what lead to Yoshiko beating the shit out of the company's then last "homegrown exclusive" draw, and Takahashi quitting over Yoshiko's punishment. I know Shirai wasn't trained by STARDOM, and at least in kayfabe was part of Yoshiko's stable, but I wouldn't be surprised if Shirai picked up a habit of potatoes there. I definitely wouldn't expect her to break her habit there, where she was before WWE.
I'm surprised Brian Last couldn't figure out what Jim was talking about with Kevin Steen and pile drivers. He should really tell us why he hates Ring of Honor so much...or really, why he hates Carry Silkin so much. Raw fell below a 2 rating with a captive audience during the lock down and didn't get canceled. AEW is dangerously close to falling below 0.5, and has with their secondary shows, and hasn't been canceled. Why is Jim so perplexed by Main Event's 1.6? He's the one who has lectured us at length about how less popular professional wrestling has become.
If they were bigger than Hogan, The Rock and Stonecoal, you wouldn’t have to tell us that we would know who he is. Why do you constantly have to dump on anything beyond 1985? That isn’t the midnight express sheesh.
I have mentioned this before...but Joe Tessatore mentioning he was inspired by Mean Gene Okerlund with his ensemble is more appropriate because Joe's work and vocal inflections in the WWE are very very reminiscent of Mean Gene, not Vince.
Being a legitimate broadcaster gives him a certain gravitas that's helping carry him through the inexperience with calling wrestling in the style wrestling requires.
🤔 Interesting... The original version seems to have been good doctrine. Non trinitian means rejecting Jesus and what Jesus said. How can 1 call themselves Christian if they reject the claims Jesus made?
"Carnera: The Walking Mountain" (2008) - is the only biopic on Primo Carnera.......a lengthy biographical book is just waiting to happen. "The Harder They Fall" (1956) was based on a novel of the same name by Budd Schulberg; though Carnera unsuccessfully sued, claiming significant parts of the film was based on his life.

How can 1 call themselves Christian if they reject the claims Jesus made?
The same way their god defines "love" by the same parameters as an abusive spouse; they literally just make shit up to fit the moment.
