  • Learn to crochet a Russian Faux Fur Hat.
    In this pattern you will learn how to make both a basic bulky yarn crochet hat and a fancy hat.
    The fur brim is optional if you just want to make a hat.
    Introducing the free crochet pattern: "Anastasian Shapka"
    Shapka means hat in Russian.
    This hat is inspired by the fur hats of Russia.
    It uses bulky wool yarn to create the hat and faux fur yarn to create the brim.
    It’s very warm, comfortable, and stylish. This hat is not difficult to make, however working with faux fur yarn has the challenge of needing to “feel” for the next stitch.
    The actual stitches are not difficult.
    If you’re willing and determined, just follow the step by step instructions here in the video, and you can make yourself a beautiful Russian faux fur shapka!

      Wonderful! That's awesome. What color did you use for the fur? Did you post a picture online anywhere? I'd love to see it!

      I used the same color fur yarn as you. I posted pictures on my FB page and also on a FB page I'm on called Crochet for Beginners and Beyond where I also posted a link to your RUclips video. If you can't find any of my pictures, I would be happy to send them to you personally.

    This is great your teaching is so easy to follow.. have a question. How could you do this in a infant size. 6-12 months I understand that things would be less stitches just not sure how many.. thank you super tuitorial.

      @LightandJoyDesigns  3 года назад

      You can probably find a tutorial with baby size beanie using bulky yarn. Use that sizing and then just finish with the same fur yarn edging.

    I love this hat but wasn’t sure where you were putting single crochets and chain one for the last round. Thanks.

      +Phyllis Faucette Hi Phyllis. Thank you. The Single crochet chain ones go into each of the double crochets of the previous round. Right into the faux fur double crochets. Does that help?

    Can you crochet all the rows with the faux fur instead of the three rows?

    • @LightandJoyDesigns
      @LightandJoyDesigns  4 года назад +1

      +Luwanda Artrelle You could try! Let me know if you do!

      If you make the hat with all fur yarn it might be a little drapey, like a looser kind of hat unless you go down a hook size. I would say, do a swatch and see how it feels first. Let me know!
