    Unable to zoom into map ?

    You made this look easy, mine just popped up with "Offline product retrieval has been initiated. Please check again your Cart to know when it will be online." Will it download if I just leave it or have I just sent a request which needs to be checked before I can download the data?

      Some data may need to be pulled from storage prior to being able to download it. It shouldn't take very long. I'm not sure if they will email you when it is available or whether it just shows up in your cart. There's a link to information about retrieval from the Long Term Archive at sentinel.esa.int/web/sentinel/faq

    Hi, do you know if jpg2 files are geo-referenced, and if so could I import them into QGIS? thx

    • @pattern_lab
      @pattern_lab  Год назад +1

      I cannot unequivocally say, because I am not 100% sure, but I do believe that you could georeference a .jpg2 file (the primary difference is that they are compressed with the JPEG2000 standard. However, not all jpg images must be georeferenced. It comes down to knowing your data.

    Sometimes when I select one the data is in .nc instead of jp2, how can I open these? or how can I filter them to only show those who are in jp2?

    • @pattern_lab
      @pattern_lab  3 года назад

      I am not 100% certain, but the .nc files may be ncdf format, which I believe are for the Sentinel-3 data.

    Hi I could not find Sentinel from Data set search to set criteria, Please; help me. Thank you.

      You don't provide a lot to go on, but let me try to help you. First, do you have an account and are you logged in? Have you selected a geographic area for your search? If you have, then, if it is a specific Sentinel platform that you wish to search for data from, I suggest using a filter to identify the parameters that you seek. I just went and looked and was able to find Sentinel data without problems.

      This portal is shutting down. You'll need to head over to the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (dataspace.copernicus.eu/), create a new account and access the data from there. I hope to produce a how-to video for that soon.

      You should be able to use your scroll-wheel on your mouse. I use a two-finger swipe up/down on my track-pad.

    What software did you use to view those files?

    • @pattern_lab
      @pattern_lab  3 года назад

      We have a license for PCI Geomatica Banff, but any remote sensing and many GIS environments can open such files. Even R can be used, among other options.

    why cant I zoom on specific area, is there some special way of zooming?

    • @pattern_lab

      Since you do not provide much detail in your question, it's hard to give a precise answer. However, to zoom in and out on the map, scroll your mouse wheel.

      Authentication on the site is not something that I control, but a quick look at their website clearly states that (scihub.copernicus.eu/dhus/#/self-registration):
      "Sentinel data access is free and open to all.
      On completion of the registration form below you will receive an e-mail with a link to validate your e-mail address. Following this you can start to download the data.
      Username field accepts only lowercase alphanumeric characters plus ".", "-" and "_".
      Password field accepts only alphanumeric characters plus "!", "@", "#", "$", "%", "^", "&", "*", ")", "(", "+", "=", ".", "_", "-".
      Password fields minimum length is 8 characters."
