This is a short tutorial that takes you through the steps of finding and downloading Sentinel 2 satellite imagery from the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem. I identify how to find the portal, log in, define a search area, add search filters, and then download the imagery. Once downloaded and uncompressed, your image is ready to be incorporated into your remote sensing environment.

hello thank you for the tutorial , and I wanted to ask is there an easier way to download multiple data from sentinel 2 as I want to download data of a location through multiple periods of time

is it possible to mass download basemap tiles..having to go through dozens of times and hit download is a bit mind numbing

Thank you very much for this sir. Would appreciate a video on the use of the QGIS plugin. I have been encountering a recurrent error using the plugin- Pixel per meter exceeding the limit.

      Perhaps some day…

There is a limitation of 2500x2500 pixel allowed for download with the QGIS plug-in. If you're requesting data at 10m resolution, you might want to split up your area of interest into smaller chunks.

Do you know if you can download heightmap data from this browser?

Sorry, not sure. Best way to find out would be to log in and look at what products are available or email their support people.

I don’t have enough information to answer you. Perhaps contact their technical support.

You can download georeferenced data if you try the analytical download and change the format to kmz or tiff. You will have to be logged in to do this.

I could not login .. tried several times.. What can I do?

Not sure what I can tell you with the limited information provided. Did you create an account? Did you verify it by the email the sent? If not, I would start there. If you did, ensure that you are using the proper credentials (and make sure that CAPS is off). If you are still having troubles, I suggest that you contact them -- see helpcenter.dataspace.copernicus.eu/hc/en-gb (as I have no control over their authentication process).

Could be your internet connection. Images are large. Ensure that your connection can handle it.
