Paul, some advice from a fellow Audi owner (A3 Saloon 1.4tfsi S tronic) - you'll get better economy with drive select in comfort or even individual. Economy mode actually uses more fuel to tick the engine over in neutral, whereas coasting in gear uses none whatsoever. My overall mpg increased about 10% once I ditched economy mode.
My father recently had the A4 Allroad with it's top spec for a weekend, Dynamic mode is probably the best mode for both comfort and economy

Revolutionary, a few new camera angles...then back to staring at you and your gloves...
Bought a factory ordered Mini F56 Cooper, eighteen times it's been in for faults, electrical parts replaced, on my third door handle, things not screwed together rattling, dash top removed and refitted to seat top air vent and tuck in material coming out at the central display, fuse box was not screwed tight, door rubbers trap dirt and scratch the inside sill, material coming away from both rear windows that would require them refitted so living with it, a passenger seat belt rattle that was common on early builds they don't know how to fix and it goes on. Engine is fantastic as is the tech but from day one problems. So wish I'd gone the Audi route. I'll never buy a split new car again from a new model just out. Had my old cooper six years R56 and it just gave me a smile, pity the newer one was not even close. Only wish I'd had finance on it as I'd have told them I was not paying any more and they could have it. Stuck with it unless lottery comes up and I'd buy that Aston. 👍

my mum just picked up the new 2016 Audi A1 sportback 1.6 tdi with the active exterior pack. very rare only 2 of them in northern ireland and we have 1 of them. it looks insane. it has matte grey front splitter with connecting grey fender trim and matching side skirts and rear lower bumper. its coloured in 2016 high gloss audi red with matte grey secondary colours matching the body kit.
I've walked up and down the steps and along that road so many times. Good to recognise it

Just thought of this car now, and I know its a bit late, but I think a 2015 S63 AMG Coupe would be the perfect car for you. 577 BHP, extreme luxury and a great cruiser, all with great road presence. I know it seems a bit like an old mans car but I think it would be perfect for what you want to do ;D. I'm sure your choice will be great, whatever the car .
If you were to replace the Nuke, and buy a new daily from a different Manufacturer, what manufacturer and what car would you get? And why?
I have a new 2016 S1 sportback and have done a similar thing, black wheels and Audi rings, it is absolutely awesome!!!!
I think it's an AMG GT S because southern sky motors put up a post today saying their blue GT S had sold and shortly after a biclore had sold so maybe he part exd
But they said the car was already at his new owner. Paul will be collecting his car next week...

If you look for you replacement/upgrade of your Nuke...
Why not Polo GTI? Basically the same body as A1, small but useable, and 189bhp for that kind of small car means quite something. Some of those have DSG instead of 6-speed manual, and I would say you better find one which has performance pack, basically meaning adjustable shocks.

my daily is an st3 with the 215 upgrade..aside the build quality, which is not up with the vw groups yet, its pretty damn good.

Brilliant car is the A1, love mine to bits, wish I could afford to buy an S1 though. But anyone wondering what kind of car to get in this range, I wouldn't hesitate in buying an A1, it's got everything you need.

Now that you have to get repairs done it also seems like a perfect time to do any upgrades if you where planning on doing so

Thoughts of his new car? If i was Paul I'd go for the 570s just for the performance and the looks as its similar to a decent priced supercar but i have a feeling it might be the new R8 v10 plus since its also a similar price and he loves Audis...

Hey Paul brilliant video once again, I was looking forward to an in-depth review of the A1 simply because i myself drive an Audi A1 Competition Line and i totally agree with what you say about the A1 everyday that i get in my A1 it always brings something new to the drive and i never leave the car without a smile. I cant wait to see what your new car is I'm hoping its the new R8 V10 Plus ;D
found it kinda funny that you had your wing mirrors pushed in to stop them getting hit... then end up getting a tree falling on your car XD very unlucky

My Audi A2 (54) has a shorter wheel base - 1.4 TDI (ps90) 5d - L3826 mm, W1673 mm, H1553 mm, 990 kg The A1 is L 3954mm, W 1906mm, H1416mm 1340kg

Hey Paul! How's the power on the nuke? More specifically, how's the passing power on the motorway above 60 or 65 miles an hour? Also, how does it handle the corners? Can you throw it into corners pretty well without much body roll when you're feeling like having a little fun? Thanks! I live in the states in Ohio, which is about 5 hours southwest of New York City. Most of my driving is on the freeway at 65 to 75 miles an hour. We don't have the A1 over here, but I was thinking of getting the A3 or the A4 with the 1.8 liter turbocharged engine with the S-Tronic Dual Clutch Transmission. What are you thoughts on entry level luxury, like the BMW 1 and 2 Series, Mercedes-Benz CLA class, Lexus IS (do you guys have Lexus? btw Lexus is the luxury version of Toyota, I don't know if you know that or not. I mean, they DID make the LFA :D ), and the Audi A1/A3 (depending on if your country has the A1 or not, because over here in the States, the entry level/least expensive Audi is the A3. But the A4 isn't too much more).
