Finally an unboxing of the new 12 series Daytona. Rolex killed it with this one, looks gorgeous. Since I want that watch to wear and not invest, black dial for me all day long.
Thanks for the video! 🙏
Thank you for your comment! Stunning watch, glad you enjoyed the video John💚
Totally agree
Why is a black one more suited for daily wear, instead of investing? Price difference, less flashy? I have a black 116520, luck of the draw as I would’ve taken a white if offered by the AD.
116500LN Panda 🐼 KING 👑
Agreed
Thanks for sharing. Glad I like the old one better in steel, but prefer the new ones in precious metals
Ok so I finally got the call for my white Daytona back in march of this year.. exactly 7 days before the watches and wonders releases -- and I have to say, I was bummed out after watches and wonders because I DO like this new one better…. I still love mine but I actually disagree with what you were saying about how it wears.. to me, the new 12 series looks alittle larger due to the beefier case, which also is finally symmetrical and the lugs curve downward too giving a touch more thickness.. I have a 7.75 inch wrist so that very slight size increase actually benefits me
Again, still do love mine but I wish I could’ve gotten this one… So what I told my AD was maybe they can get it for me in the black dial :)
Trade it on for the newer one. I did and so happy
I believe the skinny inner circles are there to match proportion of the skinnier look of the ceramic ring
💯
I prefer the older bezel w/o the metal right, but totally personal preference
I prefer the old bezel as well. The metal or gold bezel ring is definitely prone to denting.
I dunno yet. Thought I preferred the new model when I saw it and spent some time with it but then I handled the old 116500LN and actually realised what I like about it and that’s the dial, the chronographs have a boldness about them that stand out. Tricky one. I guess ultimately one would be lucky to own either 😊
Thanks for the solid video, I enjoyed it. I absolutely love the Daytona, and have owned several in the past including a black-dial 116500LN which was my favorite. I'm undecided on the 126500; but it's a fantastically gorgeous watch to be sure, and I'm not really that upset by the changes. Liked & subscribed.
Thank you for your comment we appreciate it! Equally both are stunning 😅💚
Wow so 2023 the older Version was still made ? I’m sure I can find an unworn version out there on the grey market
Aesthetically, I would have to say the Old reference is still King.
I like the new Daytona, I have great relationship with my boutique and sales associate as well as a purchase history of over 100k, my SA told me that I can get a Daytona steel next, last purchase was a day date 40 white gold olive green dial, waiting game started.
Thanks for sharing!
I’ve just bought the older model on Saturday it’s amazing
Congratulations!
Love it bought one
I do like the new one, however my only caveat is the larger white plots in the sub-dials.
Very similar. The new one is a bit more vintage looking to me and the winner.
How do you know its the first in the UK? or is it the first flipped one?
This is not the first one in the UK.
@@OllieGIBOI’m assuming only Rolex would know the serial number sold to the first UK customer 😂
Finally released, eagerly awaited 🤌⌚👏🍾
Very nice watch
I prefer 116500
If to take into consideration that there are 140 million was born in 2023, and maybe only 1000 Daytonas was released in the same year. This watch with its black counterpart will be a good investment. Information for those who thinks that Rolexes, especially Daytonas are not a good investment
The new black 126500 is nicer. Looks more serious and elegant.
New and old model are not much different for me both new and old models are both great all time stunning pieces
Its lovely but 10 grand more than a unworn previous model! Not sure its worth that premium. Ive got the steel bezel one
I did exactly this trade of an unworn 2022 but for $6750 more and couldn’t be happier.
I also traded my dads 116500 black plus $5000 for the newer one and he says it was totally worth it
@jtorrebl I would swap for $6750 but they were asking $12.5 extra . Would you have spent that much? The steel bezel is a timeless classic im not convinced I'd swap for the 116500 but it's all personal taste
Yikes, I know this is one of the first batches to hit the market, but prices here in HK for brand new is already at $23k GBP. A few dealers already listing around that price now. 👀
Where? Which dealers?
It’s stunning. 😍
It certainly is. 😻
A side by side video would have been good
Next time , 🙏🏽
Whats the list on this piece? Is it unworn ( true unworn)
True Unworn watch yes. Please see video
Ta, RRP Please m8?@@gmgwatches
Old reference all day!
36995 pounds?? are you kidding? i believe the 116500ln white dial is just 24500 pounds.
What price point do you think this watch sits at? What comparables are there in the current market?
With 25 year mortgages, peeps paying for their house twice over the term is kinda excepted. To pay 3 x the amount right off the bat for this is just mental. I get it…people like to flex with new model 💪…. I would be embarrassed if others knew I’d dropped 36k for a timepieces Rolex sell for 12k.
28-30k
❤ it want one 😢
Understated style, but a tidy sum.
Crown guards are bigger and indices are smaller as well
Anyone who buys it at this price £37k now is a fool and this guy knows it.
FYI: Sold instantly.. and we also have two requests for another should we be able to source quickly. 🤝
@@gmgwatches You still know that the guy who bought it at 37k (if true) is a fool. Sad thing is he will only know how big of a fool he was when he is looking to sell it to a dealer like you next year.
Rolex daytona 116500LN is a better watch.
In your opinion… thanks for the feedback
The new one is more classic
No, the bezel is too big on 116500, had it and sold it. Never liked the doghnut look of the bezel
I'll report back. Bought the 12 today. Sold 11 white but kept black 11.
@@hoosiercoinreview6428 just did the opposite, sold my black and kept the 2 white
I don’t know about the women’s bracelet. I’ve seen a few men now wearing women’s jewelry. If you’re zesty you’re zesty I guess.
The 11 series Ceramic Daytona is far more elegant as well it’s movement was perfect and legendary. Rolex changed the Daytona just for the sake of change and it shows as it brings nothing more to the already perfect model. The metal ring now under the ceramic 12 series Daytona bezel cheapens the look and will be a scratch/ding magnet. The more squared off lugs make the model look less “special”?
Rolex addressed what was lacking with the 11 series by refining the dial, resulting in a less cluttered appearance. They thankfully fixed the asymmetrical lugs, which was an eyesore. Thirdly, the new movement contributes to a 0.5mm reduction in thickness. There is no indication that this movement is void of perfection or legendary status. Lastly, the bezel ring adheres to the original 4 digit Daytona's design. You can Google search reference 6241 Paul Newman to see the bezel ring. So it’s nothing new or unorthodox to the Daytona. Some argue that the 11 series ceramic bezel seemed incomplete, while the new design wraps everything together beautifully.
@@8AMG One hundred percent agree, the old 500 Daytona's looked like someone threw a ceramic bezel on top as an afterthought, always looked incomplete and clunky to my eye. I prefer the old 520's and this new 12 series Daytona. Have a black dial 116520, will add the new 12 series Daytona - looks complete and I agree that the, "new design wraps everything together beautifully." Well said....
First one in the UK was flipped.
probably not, first one in the UK was sold directly to a grey dealer!
2024 you will get it for under 30k € - 100%…times changed
And also at some point you may get a call from an AD and get one for €15k. You see for people that buy these watches the minute they come out they don’t care about the thousands they will lose. They care more about being first and being no.1… #BossLife
This is not a PANDA! People really do not know what a panda watch dial is.
It’s not the first in the UK cause my friend had it for 2 weeks
I also have a friend of a friend that has one 😂… This is absolutely the first new reference Panda 126500LN to be seen and openly offered for sale on the grey market in U.K. Thanks 🙏🏽
@@gmgwatches laugh as much as you want but it’s true. He got it from Goldsmiths. He’s not though selling it on the grey market, but enjoying it, as he should.
So much more watch you can but for 37k. Dont be a sheep...
Like almost everything about the new Daytona .:… but the thinner sub dials are a mistake!
I agree
I loved it and traded my 116500 white for it
Ill pick the Longines, instead
Flipper good profit 😂
💯
“l'ennemi du bien est le bien” - perfect is the enemy of good.
The quote should actually be: "Le mieux est l'ennemi du bien"
Rolex Daytona 126500LN is a better watch.
