I saw it on Amazon, and it had what I was looking for: journaling bible and then a section under the scriptures that help you study the verses. So, I bought it, thus far I like it. I'm new to bible journaling this is a good Bible to start journaling for me. The pages are thin as you said.

The ESV interleaved bible is 7.5 font too but so clear. It’s the design of the serif font that makes it clear, but yes it is small. Well designed font.
That's my main Bible. I love it and can't see myself giving up the notetaking space.

This is a first of it's kind as far as I can tell! I got mine in May 2023 in the faux leather.
Please can I share with you how to open a smythe bound book for the first time? Smythe type have little signature (booklets) sewn together as opposed to lots of pages stuck end on into a glued spine. These are proper quality bindings.
Ok, did you hear that little crack when you first opened the cover? That’s glue breaking! If you just force it open you get a crack in the glue, then a crease or creases in the spine can develop and eventually that’s a weak spot. Looks ugly too.
So, place your brand new volume with spine on table, closed, on edge, and support with a hand on each side. Flip down the covers front and back so you have cover flat on table but all pages standing up. That’s only a 90 degree opening and not too much strain. Then divide off a few pages alternately on each side, and run your forefinger down the inside each time, being careful not to catch the page edges with a nail (especially if gilded). Keep going till you meet in the middle. The fewer at once the better, even just a few pages.
Repeat if you have time, it will give you an even better result.
This eases the glue into many fine ‘easings’ open, rather than big cracks, and the closer together they are, the more even the effect on the spine, the nearer the shape stays to being a curve rather than the sides of a hexagon, if you like. Hope that makes sense.
I first found this tip inside a boxed Cambridge bible in the 1970s on how to care for my book. And now I’m a book binder I understand why. Those signatures are stitched together, and then glued with gauze over the joins. You’ve got to encourage that glue to flex smoothly and not crack, or you’ve literally broken the spine of your book.
And the book will want to lie flatter when you’ve finished!
This looks like such a cool Bible and I have seen a ton of reviews on it, but I’ve never seen anyone write in one or talk about how it holds up to pens, pencils, etc. Anyone have any info on that?

Those pages of intro are important and answers questions about the Bible version itself
Wish the paper was a bit thicker like most journaling Bibles.
The little profiles with a buff background, where you mentioned Ishmael, that font is absolutely tiny (I’ve got this layout in a normal ESV study bible same size print. )
I use one, I bought it from Amazon. Mine has doodles in it and a place you can make notes on the side.
What translation do you have ? and do you have an online link?
@@brendasweetapple7444 the NLT version translated Tyndale theology University. The most basic and understandable version. It's called INSPIRE PRAISE Journaling Bible. It's not a study Bible. I use Evidence Study Bible along with it when I do my Bible studies in morning as well as Matthew Henry commentary as a companion.
I'm torn. On one hand a journal study bible is a perfect combo. On the other hand this bible only has 60% of the notes that the standard ESV Study Bible has. The decrease in notes is what's giving the room for writing but full notes and writing space would've been better. Of course it would be a larger bible but I'm ok with that.

Wow. This has almost all I'm tipping into my regular Bible. I have been searching for something like this but need it old person sized (big) and KJV. Do you know of one like that?! I wish it was bigger. If it was, I would get it for at home use and for another translation!
