Great job. It's good to see a tradesman take such pride in his work and also keep the customers property tidy and safe.
Thank you , Stu and KC .
Not for you Stu, but for those new to the game. Air entrainer or fattener in the mortar is needed to get a pliable mix. Too much of it though can kill the mortar ie it loses it's strength on hardening and I have seen it turn to powder months later. So for newbies....don't overdo the Mortar Mix liquid or powder stuff.
Still the best music playlist on RUclips, you could DJ on rain out days 👍👍👍 great video! Love those closers on the piers!! Look like $1 mil
Great work Stu , very neat, Full English.
I really like your work and the clips you shoot, I’ve been involved in construction for 20 years and from my experience I’ll say that you are an excellent builder and expert in your field, I have worked in many countries, now in Germany and I’ll say that there are professionals and you are a connoisseur of your field, and I’m also from Ukraine, and even there they watch your channel, and hello to your work friend, sorry for my English, this is a translator.
I do love a good demo 😊
Them jeans look mint ! Don't listen to the haters
So therapeutic watching a artist createing his masterpiece.
Cringe
A tidy site is a happy site no matter the size of the site. As I said on the previous video I’m looking forward to this wall taking shape with that classic bond.
Btw KC’s pointing is immaculate. He’s gotta get rid of those trousers though 🤣
Yo KC think it was me who mentioned about that Feb,that Donald looks perfect.Another quality build Stu,your definitely my favourite Blade runner on RUclips 🧱👌
Cheers George much appreciated
Lovely job again lads ..well looked after on that one fair play
I lay bricks all day, come home and watch another bloke laying bricks. You either absolutely love it or absolutely hate it 🤣🤣
Absolutely loving the vlog style mate. Two Bobbydazzlers right there lol.
Stu, I’ve been watching your videos forever and love the content. Something I was taught and it’s just a small attention to detail thing but there are two face sides to every brick. Obviously the long side but also the “header” or skinny side has a face and back side too
Just curious if this is something you catch yourself doing from time to time. Some masons don’t care because structurally it doesn’t matter but visually it catches my eye every time. If you look at your course of just headers, you see the sharp edges, that “generally” indicates that is the backside of the brick and I normally face those away from view. Either way, love your attitude and work ethic. 🙏
Very neat.
Whatever the day has thrown at you. There's no better way to unwind than with a cuppa, biscuits, and a Stu and KC video on RUclips
Love you two ...makes my day when a vlog pops up,...........just asking why no drain holes in the wall
put the F in the middle of KC, and u no what you've got. he is as well known as the famous K.......y fried chicken. a legend.
😂😂 KCs face when he looked in that bag! "Ooohhhh sht.... go on then"
put him boards down and KC slings sand three postcodes away :)
thanxx Hahahaha
🤣
Stand on the mixer is must has more pros than cons without it.

Thanks for all the support Gerry, I hope we all get what we want
Amazing
Perfecto como siempre!!! 👍
Blimey! 15ml of that concentrate feb is more than enough! 😂😂
Awesome stuff though, I won’t use anything but now
MrOitoyboy that’s what I use never more lol
I use a whole cap of feb for 1 bag of cement tends to be the right amount for me
Yeah I use 1/2 a cap for 1/2 a bag so about right. The mix stays in all day with the concentrate too.
Different amount of feb for different type of sand
Great work ye are a credit to the trade
I. I am Romanian . I just want to ask you. That sand has clay on it? Look so smooth. I would eat it
All I can say is "that wall is going nowhere!" nice job, I wasn't sure about the red dye, but it looks good.
Stu, I appreciate the video. Can you share with us of how many bricks should a bricklayer do per day. Thanks
Never laid a brick in my life i decide to build a small garden wall, i thought everything was going great until i overheard my wife say to my daughter " you better order some of that fencing" the enthusiasm just drained from me. 😁
Mãos à obra pessoal .. SHOW DE talento ..
Keep these daily vlogs coming 💯💯💯💯👍
thanks for this nice video, when you were using electrical machine to mix sand and cement, how long did it take you to make one patch of mortar ? 5mins, 10 mins ? thanks
your my inspiration my
Hi stu check the plastic fan inside the mixer as are prone to loosing a Finn on the blade with wear an tear which causes overheating and will cut the mixer out
I look forward to watching “KC” and his sidekick “STU”, LMAO. You guys are great, keep up the work.
If you have some rock wool at hand it cleans engineering bricks up a treat after it jointed and gone off a bit
Instead of acid at later date
Your English bricks look a lot better than the bananas we get here in Australia!!!!! But we have much better mixers over here that empty straight into a barrow
We got those types of mixers here as well. UK.
Depend how much you want to pay for one. 😳
Well those banana bricks are good for building curved walls. Are those bricks by any chance yellow in coulour! 🍌😳
Try using 10mm of that fed mate you will still get the same muck . The cap has a measuring mark on it . Great work again 👍
You can't tell this man nothing owd fruit. He shows us not we show him!! Just saying 😛
Come on guys let’s all own up, who has never laid a brick in their lives but still loves watching every one of Stu’s videos? 🤣🧱
I can imagine 90 percent of people that watch these are brickies
I think your doing a great job STU and KC, and I think your videos are inspiring to the younger generation to get in to bricklaying keep it up it’s great.keith
Cheers Keith, yeah I get a lot of messages saying they start their bricklaying apprentishio because of watching my videos so that’s a warm feeling knowing that and keeps me above the critical bricklayer that’s are doing anything for the trade only criticise others. 👍🧱
To be fair stu I use that same feb and even find 15ml enough! Each to their own👍🏽
Stu have u ever built timber frame houses cause we have to build everything off the plumb to suite timber frames nhbc seam to think a brick is going to go on fire when commen sense will tell u any fire in a timber frame house will come from the inside and if so it doesn’t matter if there is a gap between brickwork and frame have u came apon this cause it seems ridiculous to me
Talking about window frames not fire breaks
The amount of brick it’s I see doing walls in the rain or even snow! Then they look like they’ve been rendered 🥴 .
Why is it people want walls making during winter 🤪 and even rendering! Are they mad.. only needs a nice cold night to freeze it and you’ve wasted your money.
Serviço de qualidade parabéns
K C’s on a diet ?!?!? but been eating pies all week 😂😂 😂😂another great video I hope ya like jammin too
Oh KC make sure your wearing different jeans when you weigh in next as you’ll be a couple of pounds lighter without all that cement on them plus it’ll off set those pies 😉😂👍🏻👍🏻
Been laying brick and block 20 years now... this is the first time I've seen anyone use a concrete mixer to mix mortar.
Not long came back from Dubai and everything is spectacular there.can only imagine what the golf courses are like.have a great time kc.
What are the names of the song and the artist of the first song in this video?
Stu how far do you travel for work from your home do you have a radius for instance? Just I need a job doing but finding a tradesman to do the job is hard work! Like finding hens teeth!
just local until i build a team
Great vid again stu. If you see this stu can you tell KC that his trick with the one ton sand bag is bloody brilliant. Also, on site we only use 15ml of feb and it does the job perfect!
Sorry, Stu think you are doing this all wrong As it looks like you don't know what you are doing I give you a tip I would take weeks building that wall for the lunch you two keep getting you are getting looked after there lol, great job looks nice that wall.
You two are hilarious! I’m loving the lunch segments.
I’m visiting family in Newton-Le-Willows next week so if I see you guys around, KC is getting some biscuits!
I enjoy more these vids bro. Btw does kc get paid?
Yea right, 10 bricks and all ready a coffee....lol
My feed is slowing turning into construction TV, I’ve now got a brickie, two chippies, three sparkies, a few joiners/finish carpenters, two equipment operators, and some odd job guys. All I need now is a roofer, and a couple grounds men and I can build a mini estate 🤔
That's my playlist too... with added forged in fire.. it will kiiiilllll
What ever you do, do not search "best damn roofer" 😂😂
Wesley Blackwell don’t forget Alec Steele too!
@@almostanengineer yep he is on it too 🤣🤣
top job again boys, i found with them bricks a light rub down with rockwool insulation at the end about gone off brings it up nice
Corr you boys get looked after 😃👌

Another fantastic video stu and like to see KC's jeans 😁👍
Great video stu
Nice to hear from you and KC again.
Love the video Stu but that’s way too much Plasticiser.
😉👍
You 2 are going to be as heavy as that wall once it’s done
Any wheep holes...looks great
Can’t go wrong with a bit of fairy liquid 🤪
I love how perfectionist you guys are
Hi stu, what’s the reason for the red dye?
And also do you ever come across doing any lime mortar brickwork I.e hydraulic lime etc...
Great stuff x
So the colour of the mortar matches the brick
You seemed to have a pretty long dinner break.
No hour rate for you.
Good video though.
Is that lydle 160mm?
1200
@@Stucrompton1 what's a lydie I haven't heard of that term. 😲
What is the liquid being added to the mixture at the beginning? There were two of them. One seems to add colour to the mortar and the other?
plasticizer
Stu, how long between laying bricks and pointing?
Another top notch vid Dad and lad love it. Last time I looked Stu, Stax do the liquid Feb.
what's the liquid stuff you used to mix the cement to get the red color
U guys r master masons…😃👍🏻
Very neat work…
Как всегда..Работа отличного качества. Приятно смотреть...

Any advice for a young person starting the trade?
The Feb mix will run Your muck to soup! 😁
so relaxing (with music off!)
Great lunchtime sketch and quite different? You guys are becoming very Morecombe and Wise! 😂😂 Have you thought of adding in the famous breakfast routine?? Now that would be cracking 🤔😎😎😎😎😎👌👍👏👏🏴
Time for Coffee break and your old mam is checking on you, Stu? 😂😂😂😂😂. Love you 2. Very nice video and the misic goes along very much. Thombs up.
It was me that said it's like goggle box👍. You and kc could be food critics, fashion icons, current affairs correspondence. Anything you want really your videos have it all😀.
I'm a bricklayer/builder from stockport currently living in Melbourne Australia. I love watching your videos, it takes me back home with all the sayings, and the banter. You do a great job of the way you set the videos up and you and kc are great!!! Keep up the great work guys and I'll be watching. And remember it's nice to be nice and f##k the w##kers!!!
KC needs a best bricky jacket like yours stu
I worked with a bricky who laid bricks all his working life and for many years after he reached retirement age , when using a mixer he always (or I did on his instruction) put a bucket full of water in the mixer first then added the plasticiser, then cement then sand; the mix formed and was completed much more quickly than adding the water piecemeal as you seem to do. At one time the labourer always had a drum or container of water at the side ot mixer for this purpose. Is this not common practice anymore or has it been found that adding the water more slowly improves the mix?
Really like your vids 👍
Don’t know if you use this method or not, but on flat faced engineering brick, after you have finished the job and the pointing has dried, rub over entire wall with a piece of rockwool to remove any white stain marks on the brick, 👍
Just 10 ml feb with concentrated mix of 5:1 we use, never drop 25ml to be honest. Black top opti mix we prefer. The red lid is weaker and takes longer to whip up
Was in Pemberton over the festive period was going to give you a ring to meet up but I didn’t want to disturb you as I think you were extremely busy developing your brand & training facility maybe next time
Hi my name is Jermaine Dorsey I was wondering what was the name of the blue liquid he pour into the mixer in the beginning of the video?
Outstanding work stu. And loving the lunch time chats and banter 👌 question - how many bricks in this wall total when finished ? Much love mate
Well good job, nice wall, nice technique! Ihave been thaught the same technique, nice consistency on the bed joints and mortar color!!!! I use a different tool to finish the joints but Its a nice technique also ! Overall I love this channel!
