Bilal is adourable and has such a kind and mature soul. I really like this performance, really genuine and emotional plus a great song. In a different year he couldv'e done better but the competition was tough this year. Still one of my favorites
The competition wasnt tough and he was sandwiched between Azerbaijan and Italy so theres that and of course he was trying too hard with the message. People like you keep defending songs but never stop to think why they finished at that place and blame either the deaf juries or the incompetent public.
@@petarpoljak6918 I'm not blaming anyone, I'm actually one of the people who get disappointed but understand that's what the voters had chosen. What i meant was that he had a good song and a good staging that I think can speak to a lot of people but this year was a tough competition because there were a lot of great songs so it was difficult for this one to stand out. You actually confirmed that in your comment as well, so... It doesn't matter anyway. All I wanted to say was that it's still one of favorites this year so I don't get the argument
@@nitzan4904 First of all im sorry for playing the blame game. Second, while it was better than expected this year wasnt really good. Many songs were either copied from previous years or relied on a gimmick like the staging or the visual effects to be good. A great year for me are songs that can overcome the boundaries of visual effects and just have a strong core, and many of the songs are incredibly shallow or meh in concept like: Sweden,Azerbaijan,Estonia,Israel,Cyprus,Belgium,Belarus,Russia,Finland,UK,Lithuania,Greece and so many more. France was one of the better ones but again it was trying too hard and his voice wasnt strong enough to keep impact on a very powerfull and meaningfull song. Netherlands was one of the obvious choices for the win though. Years like 2009,2010,2012,2005,2014,2015 and 2018 had and overral stronger selection of songs both in presentation and style, 2009 is the best prime example of perfect blend of Eurovision cheese, ethnic flair and sultry, out of the world class and charming ideals. The stage (while big) was one of the best because unlike the newer years where it tries to hide the average song with great visuals, 2009 stage tells a story and gives every song its own identity and difference, which i cant say for many songs this year, even if their product is up to date.
@@petarpoljak6918 I get your point but I actually liked most of the songs this year. About France, what I liked specifically is that it felt really genuine. I agree some of the songs this year lacked originallity but I'm not sure it's a bad thing. After all, if a song makes me enjoy myself, what's the harm? I also can only compare every Eurovision contest to itself, comparing to other years just takes away the fun I feel like because no matter what, every Eurovision is gonna be different. Overall, this year had some great bops that I still listen to now
@@nitzan4904 This year was awesome, one of the best editions in a long time. Many songs could've won in weaker years. Israel really outdid themselves when it came to the stage, too; every act was so individual!

@bugsan I followed the process. Bilal was very popular among fans all across Europe, not just France. I expected way more from televoting myself. Maybe not enough for first but 38 seems unrealistic from what I witnessed.
He failed wih his live performance, same as Greece. On the other side Norway was way better than sem2 and that's why they had the most pooints from televoting.
George Moschos What did you expect? Someone with muslim name, dressed like that, singing song with such topic,on Ramadan. That's way too much. I'm not a muslim, but this is so direspectfull.
So beautiful how he/she takes people who would normaly be discriminaded and makes people see how no one is the same and that every one is how they are and you can´t change them, thankyou bibal for sharing that beautiful song with us...
Wow, son funny to say that she is crying because she is hungry, wow very funny, please be empatic and try to be in her situation and have a heart please
I loved the song but I think the choreography was a bit over the top with the whole tolerance thing (just too much, especially with these messages in the back), which reached rather opposite effect. North Macedonia is exactly an example that the song will have better impact if you do a simple staging and put the accent on the actual song, rather than on a bunch of "overweight dancer, migrants, gay, messages in the background" which just makes it look more cheap than powerful.
@will. u now come on. Conchita won the contest 3 years ago but now "they didn't like France because he was gay". It is not about homophobia, hell most ESC fans are gay, it just didn't come off as powerful as Conchita did or as one expected him to be.
he deserves nothing, the only reason that brought him here is that he has a big youtube community for his vlogs and a very trendy personality... we are far from the talent, he would have to be last...
He deserved the first place. No shade to the other countries but it was the only song with a real meaning, and it was the most creative show (with australia) the others were only dancing...
Wasn't catchy, and to me, it's transparent what they're doing. They're wheeling out sob stories to pluck at the public's heart strings, which to me is cheap and exploitative, not so different from the days of old when people would gawp at travelling "freak" shows
@@litlifroskur I know what the party line is, I'm saying I don't believe it. They want to look noble but they are using other people to reflect better on themselves, as a type of accessory or boon. It's like myself surrounding myself with people of disabilities and saying "Everyone, look at what a fine man I am".
As you may have heard, bilal sang us a song rich in emotion expressing his past. Harassment and discrimination are topical issues that must be eliminated. With his song, bilal wants to help people to give themselves up, to talk about it. So, please, countries other than France, vote for Bilal !❤️

For me, this is the winner of hearts. This song had me crying and it's such a pity it got 14th.... Beautiful message. Edit: These strong people on the stage deserved more!

TheOnkelNeico Warum ???
It was one of the underrated perfomances of this year. The message is given from the song was incredible. They have deserved better results.

One of the most beautiful songs this year.
You didn't win the contest, but you won our hearts💖
Much love from Israel!!!
Thanks ! 💖
This performance brought me to tears. Bilal, you are amazing, just stay as you are 💜
Bilal, I bet and voted for ya. Even if you don't win, I don't mind money spent on this, as your performance was brilliant! Merci beaucoup de Hongrie! TU ES UN ROI! 👑
No.
..You,RE wrong..He was just terribly....I can say....DOUBLE 00
You are right Raine he did his best. Bilal’s voice is amazing!! Too bad he didn’t win tho 😭
How can ppl not hear his bad breathing as he's singing his lines? U can hear his breath against the mic SEVERAL times.. dont know if he was given a bad mic or what but the vocals weren't right
Raine Hailshard agree with you, I wanted him to win too.
I loved absolutely everything...

This song is still my favourite 🇫🇷 and with the song with the most beautiful message!! I can’t stop listening this for month now. I really can’t understand why he didn’t received more points. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Osi Marvelous
I agree Germany deserved more points
Stimmt😕
Thank you for this superb performance. Number 14 in the ranking, number 1 in our heart.

Il a assuré comme un Roi!!!! BRAVO!!!!! Quelle belle émotion! Fière!!!
Bravo pour avoir fini 14eme....mdrrrrrrr .
@The Initials BB Oui fière.
It's been 2 years and this song is still one of my absolute favorites
I'm so sad that Europe doesn't want it to be higher. It deserves at least top 10 for sure. Even if the song is personal everybody can feel the meaning and connection. I'm sad that such a meaningful song was that low in the standings. But remember... we are all kings or queens- no matter what happens.
Better than Italy. My favorite song from big 5. He had the best perfomance and message. Still waiting for France to win from Russia ahah c;
Bilal was great, But italy was great too, Even greater!
better than italy MA COSAAAA COSAAAAA
FRANCE ITALY SPAIN WERE THE BEST SONGS EVER! Eurovision just proved me that is fake ...
I so much agree. France and Spain got so robbed
So much agree! ❤️❤️❤️
the three countries you mentioned sucked...
I agree with you!
La nostalgie en réécoutant cette chanson😭
For me, this is the winner of hearts. This song had me crying and it's such a pity it got 14th.... Beautiful message. Edit: These strong people on the stage deserved more!
theblackwhiteparade pleaseee shut up how can you vote for a gay who is singing and pig which is dancing
Stromi shut up
Stromi Don’t even get started on this comment. Bilal is such an amazing performer and singer. And what he may be gay what is wrong with that? This is our world and people have the right to chose how they live it. And it’s not a “pig” dancing. How rude! She is a talented amazing girl Lizzy is! Just because you don’t like something don’t bring peoples hard work and effort into it please. 💗
@@yelox8574 you're a pig, with such views as yours your mind and heart is worse than a pigsty
Amazing song, voice and lyrics! ♡ My votes went to France and the Netherlands, but for me it was clearly obvious that France is the winner of ESC 2019! Lots of love from Poland Bilal! Thank you for the beautiful performance

The most touching performance. Thank you. Merci ! Never give up.
Ilovewhite T stop being homophobic, it’s an amazing song can’t you see
Ilovewhite T he has an amazing voice lmao you clearly don’t know talent when you see it
Ilovewhite T ana ou
The Netherlands wasn't a bad song, He sang actually pretty good but was for me in the end an unexpected winner. I was actually hoping for North Macedonia, Norway or France to win. Australia and Malta did pretty nice too. These were the most emotional/rhythm songs and very unique. I am kinda disappointed.
Sebazztion1994 Australia ? Didn’t know that this country was in Europe :)
Netherlands was better
Me too ..
Duncan fully deserved it but actually Norway was robbed
France deserved so much more, 12 points from The Netherlands
I don't understand why this song was ratted so low, it deserved to be at least in the top 10.
Supernova Muesli no it doesnt he is gay
The only real was he was between Azerbaijan and Italy two big big favorites.. that’s only that
Hes just gay lol
Othmane Daali Duncan Laurence is bisexual and Mahmood is lgbt too sorry
because it's bad.
