Malaysia was one of the better multi-cultural countries to live and visit back as recent as the 70's to the tail end of the 80's until the onset of religious bigotry most visibly coming from the shock waves of religious resurgence in the Middle East and India under Indira Gandhi. Unlike Singapore who took it as a top priority to stem the inflow of such bigoted resurgence from influencing local population, Opportunistic Malaysian politicians welcome it with glee purely out of selfish reasons - allegiance by race and religious affiliations which the result has shown to be toxic and disastrous.

He was welcomed like a hero in the airport when he returned to Kedah, despite the fact that he was charged for insulting Our Royalty, and possibly more other charges to come. What else non Muslim can do while politician kept playing the 3R apart from swallowing the insult until the politicians come to realised Malaysia is a multi racial country, and stop the divide using Race n Religion as a political tool. The non Muslim who can no longer tolerate this divide (insult) voted by immigrating to other countries which treat them more equally in all areas like university placement, job opportunities, and not least have to hear the nonsense being thrown at them. This resulted in a net outflow of talents, capital that would otherwise create jobs in this beloved country where they were born, but could one blame them for voting with their feet, no one would like to leave their birthplace, leaving behind friends and relatives alike. Whenever I am abroad I would always tell my foreign counter part I am a Malaysian, but little did they know how some of our politicians saying things that could heard our feelings. Very well said. Im Malaysian Indian Non Muslim. I never take my freedoms for granted these days. The Madani gov is merely a 'band aid' on a gaping wound. I fear daily that things will slowly but surely deteriorate. Sadly, the people that featured in international news that make Malaysians and Malaysia proud often come from the non-Malays : movie stars, scientists, sports stars, leaders, educationists and other international achievements. Malaysia can achieve much more if it sees its multi-cultural population as a resource rather than see it as a liability, an inconvenient accident of history. Blessed with rich resources and a small population, it could have achieved Wawasan 2020 vision long ago, had it not been for mismanagement and warped government policies.

My impression is that our laws are made a mockery by the rich and powerful. Ordinary citizen are immediately hauled up, charged and imprisoned for their crime. But the rich and powerful can plead not guilty and make appeal after appeal in the various stages of the court and this probably takes at least a few years before their case are exhausted and are finally found guilty. So how is our law equal in everyone's eyes? Just take a look at Singapore recently and see how swift action are taken against errant ministers or anyone who breaks the law regardless of who they are.

From the support we see Sanusi getting, we can see how much the rakyat there was brainwashed. Maybe many identified with him. Apparently he was expelled from school twice, so he becomes a hero to the rebellious and unacademically inclined. They are out to topple Al so his hands are tied. Since we don't know which ministers/politicians are secretly supporting Sanusi we are thankful he finally dug his own pit.

Every Malay political animal harbours similar sentiments. It has been going on for 60 years. I stay 400 yds from a mosque. For 60 years I have heard seditious sermons and lectures emanating from this mosque. Nothing was done. You reap what you sow. Tolerance of racial xenophobia became entrenched and became the norm. I always enjoy your videos speaking for fairness and emphasising on a true "multi racial society" unlike what politicians trying to do to hurt others feelings. Yes, during my younger days in the 50's our country, the interactions among the various races was far better than it is like today. You are absolutely correct that the politicians and the religious leaders are ambitious and responsible for the divisions. These people created this mess so that they can become popular and champions for their people. This will guarantee their political ambitions for a long time as long as they keep ranting on the 3R to renew their vows and increase their vote banks. Why Sanusi become more famous and bolder by the day. It is because majority of his party stalwarts have been doing all this while without a glitch. But his multiple rantings and wrongdoings were ignored by the top leadership and authorities for too long. Sepandai pandai tupai melompat akhirnya jatuh ke tanah juga.
