Loved your story mate ... Bloody good on ya's !!!
I'm 54 years old and have been prospecting for a living since I was 19
I've been most fortunate to enjoy a life doing what I love ... out In the bush following the 'Old timers' searching for gold. Love nothing more than to be out in the hills playing modern day pioneer 😊
Thanks so much for sharing your story mate ... It's 'Gold'😉👍

I'll look forward to that drink Greg😅 it's heating up in the North, our wet season, my off season, fast approaching. The utes loaded, so off again while it's still possible ....
One of these 'off season's' I may very well fly south ... 'to cool the heels, and wash down some dust'
As you well know mate, 'a miners Rich's change on the turn of a shovel'
So it's possible, we may meet to share that drink, and reminisce over a tale or two' mate 😉👍

This video is the stuff of legends and the ultimate dream for all us prospectors.
This definitely gives us a glimpse of what it must have been like in the traditional days of the 1850s gold rush.
    I mean 80 ounces I’d settle for a 1 ounce nugget mate !!!
Imagine in today’s gold value it would be in the hundreds of thousands.
Quite incredible really, the stuff of legend.
It’s still out there to be found in the off beat places and the obvious one’s to.
There are many buried rivers or deep leads yet to be discovered and to those who would dare to try the prize could be astronomical in nature !!!
    Awesome stuff thanks

    • @gregoryallan1137
      @gregoryallan1137 Месяц назад +1

Thank so much for your reply.❤Yes I do believe there is much gold to be found.there seems to be three distinct river systems.the deep leads wich many were snuffed out due to being covered with lava flows.then you got the present river systems too But these high level rivers of ancient times are the oldest.there is traces of this right across smythesdale.scarsdale and Linton fields.they are higher on the slopes and hills are fair game for detecting as there within our reach.ive found lots of these in this area with no results but would recommend to go for them.i really do hope my experience I've shared gets some great results for all prospectors .thanking you. Cheers Greg

@gregoryallan1137 yes we are blessed , was an amazing experience. About 2 meters away was an 8oz ,about a meter from that a 5.5oz, down the slope about 3meters 2oz , about 4meters up from the 32 a 20g, and off to the side up the slope a 5oz about 15meters. But it dried up quickly. Wish I held on to it with today's gold prices.

We were on the fields in Wedderburn when the hand of faith was found. Dad never found gold inspite of his efforts - it could have been due to his slight hearing loss at the time.
