It’s amazing how much you can pack into an osprey pack. Had to laugh at the toy car and lynch pin, carried many kms. I’m surprised you didn’t carry parts of that socket set with you
What an interesting set up! And - so many questions! What did your pack weigh when fully packed including food? How comfy was the sleeping pad? Did you mod out the pump sack? What a nifty idea using a magnet to hold the tin foil windshield! And the safety pins! What do you think of the air pump? Hear you on the multi-vitamins and vitamin C. Where’d you get the filling up gas cans with different sorts of gas cans thing? Did you ever need to use the extra Sawyer Squeeze water storage bottles? Aside from a charger with a second USB port, what would you swap out or add or leave at home? What’s on the cards for a future long walk?
The sleeping pad is awesome, warm, quiet, thick , can fully stretch and roll about. It's 198cm x 63cm x 9cm. It came with a pump sack made of the same material so I cut off the connector and glued it to the purple bag. The air pump great ,abit loud but it fills the pad in 70 seconds. I would offer to inflate other people's pads to compensate for the noise . The only con for me is the power button got pressed when in the bag so I made a cover for it. Ebay "Gas canister refill adapter ". Now $ 2.37 free shipping. Used extra water bags when camp was far from water sources. I like to be prepared for anything happening and all weather so I'm happy with what I had. There are endless choices for gear and you never know what might break. Binoculars would be nice and maybe a jetboil but they are heavy and noisy. A pair of road shoes or umbrella. Just short hikes for a while. I'll get a battery for my scales and update the weight.
