  • This is my story on what it was like having Hodgkins lymphoma cancer. Today, I am in remission and fully recovered from the effects of chemo. I am grateful to be where I am now, and know that I wouldn't be here without a great team of doctors, my family, and friends.

Radovan Vico it started with a cough. Never went away. Constant tiredness. Anaemia. Loosing weight. Achey. Sweaty and hot flushes. After all that I Then I found a lump above my collar bone & I was referred. After 2 biopsies it showed Hodgkins. On my PET scan it had spread everywhere as it took 9 months to be diagnosed I kept being told I had anxiety.

@@charlee2149 That's horrible, doctors are often very dissmisive, my doctor even rolled her eyes at me, i've done many blood tests, neck and groin ultrasound, i have 2 enlarged lymph nodes, CT scan of my head becuase of headaches, thankfully there isn't anything on my brain but these lymph nodes aren't shrinking and it's been over a year and a half, i have random body aches every day, i'm going to push for biopsy, how are you doing now, are you doing chemo, how do you feel? I hope you are strong and have family support.

Radovan Vico that doesn’t sound serious. Personally, you’d be extremely poorly by now. Don’t take my word for it thou.

Losing my hair was the only part of my cancer experience that I had control over - I chose to shave head earlier on and bought some really nice wigs. Yes people stared, but I didn't care what they thought.

Wow brave girl, I know exactly how you feel, my daughter is going through this right now, exactly the same as you. She has at this moment had 4 chemo sessions , 2 more to go . She also has thinning hair, and quite a bit has come out , I am just hoping the next 2 treatments don’t make it worse. I am so glad you did not lose your hair . It is a big thing for anybody. You doing this video really does help people going through the same thing . My daughter had no lumps in neck, but had a cough for a long time and coughed up lots of phlegm, dr thought it best to do a x ray , which led to a scan, and then blood tests , NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS DID WE EXPECT CANCER . I hope you are still clear of it , and would love an update on how things are now after 3 years since you posted this video . PLEASE 🙏 🌸🌺🌸🌸🌺

But yes loosing my hair was so hard, I had my hair made into a wig as I got married in 2018 and I didn't want to remember the worst of chemo but the memories of love, it's so hard to feel like people understand, and it's powerful hearing my own feelings coming out of your mouth

And now Lymphoma... and you are still a brave, beautiful girl and someone is still taking wonderful photos of you. This could be a fantastic "coffee table" book that I would love.
